Maruti Suzuki India has launched the all-new Santro in the Indian market. The all-new Santro is based on the fifth-generation HEARTECT platform that also underpins the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Dzire, Ignis, Ertiga and Baleno in the Indian market. The new-generation WagonR is available in seven variants and the price starts from Rs. 4.19 lakh. Here is a detailed price list of the all-new hatchback.

The all-new WagonR is available with two engines for the first time in the Indian market. The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine has been carried forward from the previous-generation model. Maruti has also added the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Ignis and the Swift in the Indian market.
The 1.0-litre engine produces a maximum power of 67 Bhp and a peak torque of 90 Nm. The 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine that generates the exact same power as the Ignis and the Swift. It generates a maximum power of 82 Bhp and 113 Nm. Both the engine options get a manual transmission option and the AMT automatic option. The CNG version, which was quite popular with the last-generation WagonR is not available anymore. However, Maruti is expected to launch the CNG version in a few month’s time.
The all-new WagonR will take on the Hyundai Santro directly but it is more expensive than the base version of the Santro. However, the base version of the Santro does not offer the AC but WagonR gets AC in the base variant too.
The all-new WagonR also gets many standard features keeping up with the upcoming safety rules. Even the base variant gets driver-side airbag, ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors, speed warning alert and front seatbelts alert.
The all-new WagonR is available in six colour options. It will meet the upcoming BNVSAP crash test norms too.
