The smaller Cruiser with adequate power

Suzuki made a spectacular debut in the superbike segment of India two wheeler market, by launching the Intruder M1800R and GSX 1300R Hayabusa in the year 2008. Though the Hayabusa was an expected entrant for India, the launch of Intruder M1800R was a little bit surprising, since Suzuki wasn’t known for its cruisers much among the Indians before its arrival.

But ever since the advent of the Intruder M1800R here in India, the cruiser segment has grown infinitely, with the subsequent launches of cruisers from Hyosung, Harley Davidson, Honda, Yamaha and Triumph. The Intruder M1800R not only inspired other manufacturers to jump into this bandwagon, but also paved the path for its younger sibling, the Intruder M800.

Also known as Boulevard M50 in most of the other countries, the Intruder M800 has been known for having all the bling of chrome and appeal of the bigger Intruder M1800R, but in a smaller package, both in size and performance. Also, the Intruder M800 is billed as a middleweight cruiser motorcycle by Suzuki, which also happens to be their most affordable CBU offering in the Indian market. For the year 2016, Suzuki has given the Intruder M800 a major revamp in terms of visual appeal and performance, which has made it even more desirable and contemporary than before. Here’s a quick look on the latest iteration of the Suzuki Intruder M800.

2016 Suzuki Intruder M1800R B.O.S.S. Edition

Before the advent of Harley Davidson and Triumph in India, it was Suzuki which commenced the enthusiasm for cruiser motorcycles in the Indian market. Almost eight years ago, Suzuki launched its flagship cruiser, the Intruder M1800R, in India. The Intruder M1800R was the first big cruiser which landed on the Indian shores.

There were (and still are) many pluses in the favor of Intruder M1800R. Its intimidating size, gigantic engine, smooth blend of chrome and blackened parts and super comfortable riding posture gave it the true blue cruiser feel which the Indians only dreamt of having, before its arrival here.

It’s almost eight years of its existence in the Indian market, and in this period, the Intruder M1800R has gained a cult status not only among the cruiser lovers, but among all the big bike purists in India. Popularly known as Boulevard M109R in some of the other international markets, the Intruder M1800R has gained time to time updates which have managed to keep the bike updated and withstand the competition from Harley Davidson and Triumph, one of which is the new Intruder M1800RR B.O.S.S. Edition. Here’s a comprehensive look on this latest iteration of the flagship cruiser motorcycle from Suzuki:-
