The smaller Cruiser with adequate power
Suzuki made a spectacular debut in the superbike segment of India two wheeler market, by launching the Intruder M1800R and GSX 1300R Hayabusa in the year 2008. Though the Hayabusa was an expected entrant for India, the launch of Intruder M1800R was a little bit surprising, since Suzuki wasn’t known for its cruisers much among the Indians before its arrival.
But ever since the advent of the Intruder M1800R here in India, the cruiser segment has grown infinitely, with the subsequent launches of cruisers from Hyosung, Harley Davidson, Honda, Yamaha and Triumph. The Intruder M1800R not only inspired other manufacturers to jump into this bandwagon, but also paved the path for its younger sibling, the Intruder M800.
Also known as Boulevard M50 in most of the other countries, the Intruder M800 has been known for having all the bling of chrome and appeal of the bigger Intruder M1800R, but in a smaller package, both in size and performance. Also, the Intruder M800 is billed as a middleweight cruiser motorcycle by Suzuki, which also happens to be their most affordable CBU offering in the Indian market. For the year 2016, Suzuki has given the Intruder M800 a major revamp in terms of visual appeal and performance, which has made it even more desirable and contemporary than before.
