The year 2015 turned out to be a landmark tenure for the Indian two wheeler market, with some significant launches taking place in almost every possible segment. The lower end of the market witnessed the resurrection of CT 100, the Splendor Pro being refurbished and the CB Shine getting a refresh in not one but two different avatars, while the entry level performance segments too saw some very significant launches in the form of Pulsar RS 200, Avenger duo, Yamaha R3 and Benelli TNT 25. Going by the trend of 2015, the year 2016 is supposed to be even more interesting, with some very prominent and promising launches being lined up by almost every manufacturer. Some of them are supposed to write new stories and create milestones by spawning new segments. While the year 2015 belonged majorly to Bajaj Auto and Honda, the year 2016 is supposed to be a landmark one for the other two prominent players of this market, Hero and TVS, for the number of products they have in the kitty for the new year.

There are some motorcycles in the Indian market which have went on writing success stories for being pioneers in some aspect or the other. While a majority of these bikes have departed in the history books, some continue to glorify the market even today.
