Fate of the second most expensive scooter of the country.

Fate of the second most expensive scooter of the country.

After selling zero units, Vespa 946 Emporio Armani gets takes off the shelves.

The reason I say that zero units have been sold is because Piaggio declined to release an official figure of the same. Nonetheless, there were rumours about orders and enquiries coming in for the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani.

After the Aprilia SRV 850 ABS/ATC (priced at ₹ 15 lakh), this scooter from another Italian maker was the most expensive scooter being on sale in India. It was commissioned by the famous Italian designer, Georgio Armani and was priced at ₹ 12.04 lakh. But now, since the contract between Armani and Piaggio has ended, the scooter is no longer on sale anywhere in the world.

Mahindra is sketching a different course for its future.

Mahindra is sketching a different course for its future.

It all started after the company declined by 77 percent in the domestic market.

The Mahindra Group is billed at USD 19 billion currently but their motorcycle division hasn’t seen a single buck as profit on any year ever since its inception. Except for the 2012 launch Mojo, the rest of its housemates never entered the competition seriously and have been a disaster.

In a bid to tap the newfound interests in the sports tourer segment, Mahindra Two Wheelers is on the path to growing its premium motorcycle brand, Mojo. Doing so, the motorcycle division has officially withdrawn from the domestic mass market segment, and are looking to enter into the unknown.

Here is KTM explaining safety systems available on their bikes that can save your life on the road.

Watch KTM MTC, ABS, MSC and launch control working behind the scenes.

A rider is not born but is made. There is absolutely no harm in accepting that you are not the best rider and that there is always a better rider out there. But, that does not mean you don’t improve on it. You just ride more and try matching synergies with your motorcycle.

The same also applies to motorcycles. There is always a better one out there. So the manufacturers and engineers come up with new technologies that make that same motorcycle perform better and safer than before. And KTM is one of those which is world renowned for giving us bikes that loves walking on the edge of performance and handling.

The buzz around Ducati's V4 Desmosedici Stradale.

The buzz around Ducati’s V4 Desmosedici Stradale.

In about a week, we will have a four pot Ducati showcasing.

It’s no new story to begin here. Ducatithemselves have been pretty vocal about their newfound love for a four cylinder version of their street bikes which will most probably change the whole dimension within the segment.

True to their ways of naming, the Italians have named it as the Desmosedici Stradale engine, and it is going to replace the Superquadro twin-cylinder which is having its final run on the mighty 1299 Panigale R Final Edition. It will be put on showcase at the Misano World Circuit on Thursday, 7th September 2017.

Which motorcycle do you think has the finest looking face?

Here are industry’s magnificient machines saying something:

Let’s leave the custom builds out of this because, honestly speaking, they wouldn’t have existed if they failed to give a motorcycle a deserving face. But then again, why do any manufacturer for that matter exist if they too fail to give a motorcycle a well-looking face?

Fuel prices are set to break all previous records and you wouldn't have even known about it.

Fuel prices are set to break all previous records and you wouldn’t have even known about it.

With daily fuel price revisions, this was imminent.

Gone are the days when every fortnight you had to wait for, what felt like an eternity, to get your tank filled with petrol because it costs a rupee more. Stand in the queue for hours all just to save a couple of tens. That was the human psychology up till June 2017 when state-owned oil conglomerates chucked the 15-year-old practice where they revised fuel prices on the 1st and 16th of every month.

They instead opted to follow a dynamic daily price revisions that changed the fuel costs on a daily basis depending on the international crude oil market. A coup or not, it left the citizens in a daft about the price fluctuations as it happened every day and before we got any clue about it, petrol prices have reached a three year high.

Should you buy the Fazer 25 or something else?

Should you buy the Fazer 25 or something else?

Yamaha’s new entrant says go "sports-touring". Can you really?

When Kawasaki launched the Ninja 1000 last month, we called it “The most serious sports tourer on the face of this planet, or any planet for that matter.” That is the best of both worlds. Period.

Now, the Japanese Blue team has come up with the “all-new aggressive tourer” Fazer 25. All they’ve done is slap a fairing onto the naked FZ 25 and called it a tourer. Not that I’m saying it’s wrong because that is what the Kawa guys did too with the Z1000. So technically, Yamaha’s Fazer 25 is marketed rightfully as a sports tourer.

What do you do when you get thrown off your bike at 250 mph?

What do you do when you get thrown off your bike at 250 mph?

Ask how Chris Matheson feels about his safety gear.

When all of us rant about wearing your helmet and your riding jacket at all times on the road, we weren’t just being pushy. Every motorcyclist would have had a bad fall on their ride at one point or the other and some might even have succumbed to it, unfortunately. And most often than not, that would be because the rider just did not care enough to protect his head or his body from the fall.

A few get lucky without a scratch on their body and a few come out with broken bones and fractures. Nonetheless, it is common sense that a helmet and protective suit and gear goes a long distance in minimising the effect of a fall. That is exactly what happened to Chris Matheson here who flew off his drag racer at 250 mph.
