Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently introduced their entry level motorcycle in India christened as CD 110 Dream. This is definitely a commuter motorcycle equipped with the latest HET Technology from Honda. The HET technology helps in extracting maximum power from the engine while also returning an impressive fuel efficiency figures. Honda claims that their new motorcycle will return 74 km to a liter of Petrol which is impressive.
On the styling front this motorcycle looks pretty basic but definitely fulfills the minimum criteria that the consumers look for in this segment. Powered by an Air cooled 4 stroke, SI engine with a displacement of 109 cc this motorcycle produces enough power and torque amount to be a perfect city commuter. It also provides couple of interesting features which are hardly expected in an entry level motorcycle.

Take a look at the new CD 110 Dream and it will remind you of another commuter from Honda’s stable called the Dream Neo, although the CD 110 Dream is cheaper than the Dream Neo by almost 7000 rupees but it will obviously attract the attention of the consumers because of its simple styling and eye catching body graphics.
The CD 110 Dream has a long wheelbase of about 1258 mm which will keep the motorcycle stable during high speeds while the high ground clearance of about 179 mm reduces the chances of causing damage to the underbody of the motorcycle while travelling over bad and uneven roads. ENGINE AND HANDLING
As already mentioned earlier the new motorcycle is powered by a 109 cc, Air cooled 4 stroke, SI engine which produces about 8.25 bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm while producing 8.63 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 4 speed constant mesh gearbox which keeps the motorcycle in right power band. Honda has also incorporated this motorcycle with their latest HET (Honda Eco technology) which you will also find in their other products. This HET technology helps to improve the fuel efficiency figures of the motorcycle while also makes sure to extract maximum power out of the engine.
The CD 110 Dream is built around on a Diamond type frame and has been fitted with a Telescopic Suspension at its front while the rear gets a Spring loaded Suspension setup. It has Kerb weight of just 105 kilograms which will definitely improve the overall handling of the motorcycle and maneuvering the motorcycle when not in motion. As already mentioned earlier that the Honda CD 110 Dream has been fitted with tubeless tyres on both its front and rear wheels which is definitely a boon for the rider but there is no option of disc brakes and the entry level commuter and thus has been fitted with conventional 130 mm dia drum brakes at both its front and rear wheels.

Starting July, 2014, the Wings have become the ’Only Honda in India’. It is in this context, that Honda is bolstering its differentiated brand imagery with ’Honda is Honda’.
