Recently a lot has changed in the Indian two wheeler market; we have seen plenty of new launches both in the commuter segment as well as the entry level premium bike segment but one 2 wheeler manufacturer has really implemented an aggressive marketing strategy for the Indian market and I am proud to say that they are none other than our homegrown 2 wheeler manufacturer Hero Motocorp. Recently we have seen plenty of new launches from the same manufacturer and during this festive season they have launched two new and exceptional products which certainly will attract lot of attention.

Hero Motocorp launched an offroad version of the Passion Pro christened as the Passion Pro TR which comes with all the equipments and features that you would generally find in an offroad motorcycle (You can catch our full review of the Passion Pro TR here), while on the other hand they also have launched a café racer version of their popular commuter Splendor and christened it as the Splendor Pro Classic. Now according to Hero Motocorp this motorcycle also is the first 100 cc motorcycle with the café racer styling.

The Splendor classic pro was first showcased at the 2014 Auto expo in Delhi and it surely attracted lot of attention and now when it’s out in the market at a competitive price I am sure this certainly will be able to pull the crowd towards it.

Now recently motorcycles with café racer body style became quite popular in Indian market we have seen Royal Enfield launched their own version of café racer called Continental GT which became the hot topic of town and people went crazy about the motorcycle now for those who cannot afford a 2 lakh rupee motorcycle can easily get their hands on the Splendor Classic Pro yes! This may not be a powerful motorcycle and is the same commuter Splendor under the café racer skin but still with a proper café racer type styling this surely is something worth giving a shot.

On the styling font the Splendor classic pro gets cafe racer type round headlamps at the front whereas the instrument cluster gets the classic round speedometer, in the place of the standard handlebar the Splendor Classic Pro gets sporty handlebar as you would find in any café racer type motorcycle. At the rear of the motorcycle instead of a standard seat you do get classic single seat and a vintage style café cowl at the rear. Talking about the rear of this café racer styled motorcycle you will also get round tail lamps which actually go well with the overall styling of the motorcycle. Lastly another thing which surely will attract your attention is the fact that the Splendor Classic pro gets plenty of chrome all over its body which includes the front and rear fenders, winkers, suspension cover and the round shape rear view mirrors.

Overall this is definitely a brave attempt from Hero Motocorp to actually think out of the box and create something which is unique in this segment.

This motorcycle comes with both kick and self start options and thus don’t expect a burst of power when you turn that throttle but do expect an impressive amount of fuel efficiency from this motorcycle which is actually the main purpose of the motorcycle.

There is no doubt in the fact that the Discover 100 is one of the most popular choice and option when it comes to an entry level commuter. The Bajaj Discover 100 is not a new motorcycle in the block and it been here for quite some time now.
