Just behind the headlamp cluster one will find an attractive looking instrument console with a beautiful backlit display, the instrument cluster consists of an analogue speedometer and an analogue fuel meter beside the regular warning lamps.
The fuel tank also received new graphics which makes the motorcycle look even more sportier. The Splendor also has a good reputation of being one of the most comfortable motorcycles in this category and thus this new Super Splendor also has been fitted with the most widest and comfortable seats for both its rider and Pillion. The Classy looking tail lamps and the stylish new alloy wheels make this motorcycle look even more stylish.
Overall the Super Splendor is a more premium offering from the stable of Hero Motocorp and the above mentioned features does justice to the word ‘Premium’. The build quality of the switchgear and the palm grips too are impressive but an engine kill switch on the Super Splendor is sorely missed.

ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
The Super Splendor is definitely a more powerful offering than the regular Splendor, thus the new motorcycle has been fitted with a 4 Stroke OHC, Single cylinder, 124.7 cc, air cooled engine which generates 6.72 KW (9 BHP) of maximum power at 7000 rpm and 10.35 Nm of torque figures at 4000 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 4 Speed Constant Mesh gearbox which is smooth and shifts easily.
It is true that the Super Splendor delivers much lesser power in comparison to other 125 cc motorcycles of its class but we also have to keep one thing in mind that this commuters are not meant for high speeds or touching your knee on the ground while cornering, this motorcycle is fulfills the sole purpose of transporting the rider from point A to point B safely and securely while consuming much less fuel.
This Motorcycle has been fitted with an advanced micro processor ignition (AMI) system so that the rider does not face any sort of difficulty while starting the motorcycle.

RIDE AND HANDLING
There was never any complaining about the ride and handling quality of the Splendor and this motorcycle too lives up to the Splendor’s standard with its impressive ride and handling quality. It has been fitted with a Telescopic hydraulic forks at the front and Swing arm with 5 step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at its rear which is fitted to handle even worst Indian road conditions. The most disappointing thing about the motorcycle is that it is only fitted only with an Internal expanding type 130 mm Dia brakes for both its front and rear, there is not even an optional disc brakes for the Motorcycle.
The seating and the ergonomics of the Motorcycle is impressive the upright tall stance and the wide handlebars and comfortable seats are helpful especially during long journeys. The tyres also offers descent amount of grip on the tarmac.
The Hero Motocorp Super Splendor is priced at Rs. 51, 900 (Ex showroom Delhi) and is available with following color options:
The 125 cc segment is one of the most competitive market segments of the Country and thus is crowded with plenty of able competitors. The Hero Motocorp Splendor definitely gets some amount of competition from the Honda Shine who also have been their long term partner.
Honda Shine too is a stylish and premium offering from the Japanese 2 wheeler manufacturer. Their product CB Shine is also one of the largest selling motorcycle in this segment which also won many hearts with its smooth engine and impressive power delivery. The motorcycle shine is powered by a 124,7 cc air cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine which generates 10.54Nm of maximum torque at 5500rpm and 10.12 bhp of maximum power at 7500rpm. The engine also has been mated to a 4 speed gearbox. Definitely the CB shine air cooled engine generates more power than the Super Splendor and thus also gives it a tough competition like I already mentioned earlier.
The 125 cc categories of motorcycles are built to provide more power than a 100 cc engine but also deliver good mileage at the same time. The Super Splendor was launched back in the year 2010, it definitely did not left an impression on the heart of people like its predecessor Splendor, but it sure does a good job of a commuter motorcycle. So if you want a trustworthy premium Motorcycle for yourself then surely you can trust the Hero Motocorp Super Splendor Blindly.
