Both the 125cc and 200cc SR GT were unveiled at EICMA 2021. They come with some clever new features which should come in handy, when taken off the beaten track
Aprilia has unveiled the new SR GT scooter range at the ongoing 2021 EICMA Motorcycle show in Milan. The SR GT scooter range gets 125cc and 200 cc engine options bolted to a double cradle chassis. Aprilia is calling the SR GT an ‘urban adventure scooter’, and the design justifies the term.
Here is what you need to know about the recently introduced Adventure scooters.
Aprilia SR GT Design
Both the 125 and the 200 variants share the same design formula. The SR GT range gets a high set, signature tri-LED headlight at the front, and a smoked windscreen inspired by endurance motorcycles. Aprilia promises that the windshield will provide outstanding aerodynamic protection. The scooter offers 25 litres of underseat storage, comfortable contoured seats, and a fuel filler mounted at the front.
The Aprilia SR GT 125 and 200 feature a full LCD instrument cluster that looks identical to the unit found on the newly introduced SR range and a frontal USB charging port that comes in handy.

The SR GT gets five colour options as standard. The company also offers a Sports trim that gets three different liveries, stylish red alloy wheels, and red stitching on the seats.
Aprilia SR GT Engine options
The Aprilia SR GT gets two single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 125cc, and 200cc engine options.
The 125cc mill puts out about 15 Ps of peak power and 12 Nm of torque. The 200cc variant, on the other hand, produces about 17.6PS of peak power and 16.5Nm of torque.
Both the scooters get a start-stop system as standard to help boost fuel efficiency numbers. Aprilia claims a fuel economy of 40kmpl and 38.5kmpl for the 125cc and 200cc variants respectively.
Aprilia SR GT Suspension and Brakes
The Aprilia SR GT uses a 33mm telescopic fork at the front (with 122mm travel) and twin shocks at the rear (with 102mm travel). The scooter depends on a 260 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear. ABS comes as standard with both variants.
Aprilia SR GT Rivals
The newly introduced Aprilia SR GT rivals the Honda ADV 150 in the global market. We can only hope that Aprilia decides to launch this exciting scooter range in India next year.
