Both the Dominar 250 and the Pulsar F250 have the same displacement, but one of them is quicker. Can you guess which one?
Watch as the Dominar 250 takes on the recently launched Pulsar F250 in a high-performance drag race. Both these motorcycles get the same displacement. While the Dominar 250 borrows its engine from the KTM 250 Duke, the Pulsar F250 uses a newly constructed engine by Bajaj that uses a much simpler architecture.
Will the Dominar 250 beat the Pulsar F250 in this high-performance drag race? You will be surprised by the outcome.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 features a 248.8cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also does duty on the KTM 250 Duke. However, Bajaj has detuned the engine, and it is not as powerful as the Duke 250. The liquid-cooled engine on the Dominar 250 produces about 27hp of peak power at 8,500rpm and 23.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox. It gets a slipper clutch as standard.
Powering the semi faired Pulsar F250 is a new BS6 compliant 249.07cc, air-oil cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, SOHC 2 Valve engine. The unit churns out about 24.5 Bhp of peak power at 8,750 rpm and 21 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The powertrain is paired to a five-speed gearbox and features a slipper clutch as standard.
Bajaj Dominar 250 VS Bajaj Pulsar F250: Drag Race
Both the bikes lined up at the starting point before the race. The Dominar 250 takes the lead with its impressive initial performance, while the Pulsar F250 failed to catch up with its opponent. The Dominar 250 maintained a colossal gap right from the start of the race. The F250 gave a good fight but lost the first drag race attempt.
The riders swapped their bikes before the second drag race to keep things fair. Surprisingly! The Pulsar F250 took the lead at the start of the race. The Dominar 250 overtakes the Pulsar F250 towards the end of the race with its strong top-end performance and wins the second drag race attempt.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 was the winner in both the drag race attempts.
The advanced liquid-cooled engine on the Dominar 250 is tuned for performance and offers a better balance of power in both the low and top rev range. The Pulsar F250’s mill, on the other hand, has been tuned for better fuel efficiency figures and daily usability.
