The entry level sportsbike segment of the country is heating up and every two wheeler manufacturer is trying to launch atleast one new product every month to stay in the game. The Japanese two wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki surely has their bucket filled up in the more premium sportsbike segment of the Country but surely they need to work a lot harder to impress those people who want a product in the entry level segment.

So in order to get the attention towards them, Kawasaki will be launching the Z250SL which will be sold alongside the Z250 and the Ninja300. This motorcycle is powered by a 249 cc liquid cooled engine which promises to return about 28 Ps of peak power at 9700 rpm and 22.6 Nm of torque at 8200 rpm. The soon to be launched Z250SL is comparatively lighter than their already existing product Z250 because it uses a trellis frame which has been constructed out of tensile steel.

Expect this motorcycle also to be priced quite comparatively and in order to do that Kawasaki is actually sourcing some of its parts locally. When Kawsaki launches this motorcycle in India towards the end of the year 2015 expected it to be priced around INR. 2 Lakhs(ex showroom).

The Z250SL will compete directly with the KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR250R.
