This article is all about the self-spirit this grandpa has. Here in India, it is just not possible for old folks to commute, especially in the metros. The chaos and pollution are alone enough to tire them up.
But it’s an all-together different case in the European countries where the traffic is minimal, roads and the air are clean and not filled with potholes. And surprisingly people from all age group ride and drive in those countries. That said, not often will you find a three digit aged person riding or driving.
And it was a modified Ninja running at 300 bhp and 24 psi
When factories make machines, they do so with extreme accuracy and precision. With a good amount of tolerance levels, their machines are made to last quite long. And if the supercharged Ninja H2 is what we talking about, it is the most technologically advanced machine to come out of the famed Japanese green outfit that created a new benchmark in the industry.
When you take that 207 bhp monster and pump it all the way upto 300, you cannot expect even the best of Japanese engineering from saving your arse. That is exactly what happened to one unlucky Ninja H2 which ended up with an exploded crankcase when the bike was running at a whopping 300 kph in a motorsport event.
Honda urges us to leave our house more often. Something is coming that will take you to "What lies beyond".
And we think it is the 2018 Honda Goldwing.
Unveiled for the first time in the world at the Cologne Motorcycle Show in October 1974, the Honda Goldwing has, over the years, become more than just another motorcycle. It became an icon which is undoubtedly re-writing the rules and creating the benchmarks for touring motorcycles all these years.
In a five part ad campaign, Honda has released a video that hints the launch of this behemoth on the 24th of October, 2018. Honda is finally resurrecting the Goldwing for 2018 and with the amount of technology it is packing, the competition should run far away and never return.
A 128gb device that can do more than just a phone call or an experience of a lifetime?
Yes, I know. It’s damn too cliché. "Here is another blatant iPhone joke" your brain could say. But c’mon you could cut me some slack because I can’t stop thinking about things I can do with that much money (₹ 1,02,000 is how much for a 128gb iPhone X). Not that I have it in my pocket, but if I did hypothetically, would I spend it on the phone or buy myself a better experience with my ride?
Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India on a path to become the number one player in the motorcycle segment by 2020.
With the way Honda is strategizing its game plan and its given performance in the current market, it taking the top slot is inevitable.
When Honda entered India, it did so with four ventures: Kinetic Honda Motor Ltd (1984-1998), Hero Honda (1984-2011) and Honda Siel Cars India (1995-2012). Each one of them gave the required push for the Japanese brand to establish itself into the roots of the automotive market and the rest, as they say, became history.
For the two wheel world though, it was the 2001 entrant scooters, Activa and Dio that went on churning a large number of volumes for their parent company. On this fortunes, Honda became the second largest two wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market and in 2016, Honda 2 Wheelers India became the number one contributor to Honda’s global two-wheeler business.
With such laurels up their alley, Honda decided to pump in major investments and R&D into the country’s production and service with one goal in sight: To become the number one player in the motorcycle segment by 2020 taking over reigns from Hero MotoCorp.
Diavel S gets an all new Iceberg White paintjob and its looks just as good.
First showcased at the EICMA motor show in Milan 2015, the xDiavel took all eyeballs for a trippy show. Long and low, with sleek and sexy lines, forward controls and a low seat height, this bike was something totally new from the Italian company known the world over for blending impeccable design and high-performance machines. Something like putting purists into a realm of more content and less bitter.
The bike always had a menacing outlook to it that was both handsome and evil at the same time. Rightfully it was quoted as ‘The Gentleman and The Bastard’. Now, the brand has given the premium ’S’ model of the bike a whole new character that contradicts its otherwise antagonist outlook. And they did it by just having the bike painted in Iceberg White.
Codenamed “Urbanite", the company is planning to build a hot of EVs by 2020.
The Pune based manufacturer has been in the news for a lot of reasons, and most often than not, it is a good one. With the latest being the eyebrow-raiser Triumph-Bajaj global partnership, Bajaj is making the right moves to get ahead of the competition soon enough.
Now, fresh information from the industry sources is pointing out at the firm’s newfound love for alternative fuel powered vehicles, most probably being electric. Coined as "Urbanite", the new project will aim at developing upmarket products in the electric vehicle segment.
High participation costs and low returns steer them away from participation at the biennial event.
South Asia’s biggest biennial Auto Expo will be back for the 14th edition at India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML) in Greater Noida, New Delhi. Spread for six days in the February of 2018, the Motor Show will bring in a great opportunity to see some spectacular vehicles, some radical concepts and enchanting conversations about anything automotive.
But it is not the case with a few of the manufacturers who have decided to stay away from the Expo floors this year citing economical confrontations. Most of who have a huge presence in the country’s automotive market. And they include both two wheel and four wheel vehicle manufacturers.
The British brand is on track with putting the race-spec 765cc engine through its paces.
Back in June this year, the British motorcycle manufacturer had announced their entry into the world of motorsports by replacing Honda as the engine manufacturer for the Moto2 Motorcycles from the 2019 season.
Making use of the talented 765cc Triumph Street Triple engine, the folks at the racing department are putting all their resources into tuning this three pot motor into a dedicated Moto2 worthy engine. With multiple enhancements and developments underway, the engine has successfully being tested with the second track test at the Ciudad del Motor de Aragón by Julian Simon, 2009 125cc World Champion, Moto2 runner-up and experienced Moto2 test rider.

It will be replacing the Superquadro twin-cylinder which is having its final run on the mighty 1299 Panigale R Final Edition. The first motorcycle it will run on will be the Ducati Panigale V4 to be unveiled November 5, 2017.
After selling zero units, Vespa 946 Emporio Armani gets takes off the shelves.
The reason I say that zero units have been sold is because Piaggio declined to release an official figure of the same. Nonetheless, there were rumours about orders and enquiries coming in for the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani.
After the Aprilia SRV 850 ABS/ATC (priced at ₹ 15 lakh), this scooter from another Italian maker was the most expensive scooter being on sale in India. It was commissioned by the famous Italian designer, Georgio Armani and was priced at ₹ 12.04 lakh. But now, since the contract between Armani and Piaggio has ended, the scooter is no longer on sale anywhere in the world.
The man was held captive since 2011 and was released a couple of months ago.
Imagine you are going on a motorcycle tour from one country to another and you get abducted by the world’s biggest terror organisation, al-Qaeda, in an unknown country and are held captive for six years.
That is exactly what happened to a Swedish national, Johan Gustafsson and a few others while he was on a motorcycle trip from Sweden to South Africa in 2011. Now, after his release, he is being donated a brand new adventure motorcycle by his loved ones.
It all started after the company declined by 77 percent in the domestic market.
The Mahindra Group is billed at USD 19 billion currently but their motorcycle division hasn’t seen a single buck as profit on any year ever since its inception. Except for the 2012 launch Mojo, the rest of its housemates never entered the competition seriously and have been a disaster.
In a bid to tap the newfound interests in the sports tourer segment, Mahindra Two Wheelers is on the path to growing its premium motorcycle brand, Mojo. Doing so, the motorcycle division has officially withdrawn from the domestic mass market segment, and are looking to enter into the unknown.
Watch KTM MTC, ABS, MSC and launch control working behind the scenes.
A rider is not born but is made. There is absolutely no harm in accepting that you are not the best rider and that there is always a better rider out there. But, that does not mean you don’t improve on it. You just ride more and try matching synergies with your motorcycle.
The same also applies to motorcycles. There is always a better one out there. So the manufacturers and engineers come up with new technologies that make that same motorcycle perform better and safer than before. And KTM is one of those which is world renowned for giving us bikes that loves walking on the edge of performance and handling.
