When Honda entered India, it did so with four ventures: Kinetic Honda Motor Ltd (1984-1998), Hero Honda (1984-2011) and Honda Siel Cars India (1995-2012). Each one of them gave the required push for the Japanese brand to establish itself into the roots of the automotive market and the rest, as they say, became history.
For the two wheel world though, it was the 2001 entrant scooters, Activa and Dio that went on churning a large number of volumes for their parent company. On this fortunes, Honda became the second largest two wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market and in 2016, Honda 2 Wheelers India became the number one contributor to Honda’s global two-wheeler business.

South Asia’s biggest biennial Auto Expo will be back for the 14th edition at India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML) in Greater Noida, New Delhi. Spread for six days in the February of 2018, the Motor Show will bring in a great opportunity to see some spectacular vehicles, some radical concepts and enchanting conversations about anything automotive.
But it is not the case with a few of the manufacturers who have decided to stay away from the Expo floors this year citing economical confrontations. Most of who have a huge presence in the country’s automotive market. And they include both two wheel and four wheel vehicle manufacturers.
Triumph is blazing guns to get ready for the 2019 Moto2 World Championship.
Back in June this year, the British motorcycle manufacturer had announced their entry into the world of motorsports by replacing Honda as the engine manufacturer for the Moto2 Motorcycles from the 2019 season.
Making use of the talented 765cc Triumph Street Triple engine, the folks at the racing department are putting all their resources into tuning this three pot motor into a dedicated Moto2 worthy engine. With multiple enhancements and developments underway, the engine has successfully being tested with the second track test at the Ciudad del Motor de Aragón by Julian Simon, 2009 125cc World Champion, Moto2 runner-up and experienced Moto2 test rider.

Ducati will now be powered by the 210 bhp Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine.
In what will go down as the biggest shift for the company, Ducati officially launched its four cylinder V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine at the Misano World Circuit on Thursday, 7th September 2017.
It will be replacing the Superquadro twin-cylinder which is having its final run on the mighty 1299 Panigale R Final Edition. The first motorcycle it will run on will be the Ducati Panigale V4 to be unveiled November 5, 2017.

The Mahindra Group is billed at USD 19 billion currently but their motorcycle division hasn’t seen a single buck as profit on any year ever since its inception. Except for the 2012 launch Mojo, the rest of its housemates never entered the competition seriously and have been a disaster.
