Grom is Honda’s latest scooter sized motorcycle
Honda Grom, sounds familiar? It may not. But you surely know about the Honda Navi, right?
Well, Honda Grom is where the Navi has taken inspiration from. Unveiled at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo Honda has created a new niche in Indian market. The Honda Navi can be described as a motorcycle like scooter or scooter like motorcycle. It looks odd with its design. It features short scooter like wheels and stance, while the chassis and frame looks like motorcycle.
Honda first introduced the Grom, which showed the potential of such a scooter sized motorcycle. The Honda Grom is also known as MSX125. If you look at it, it looks very much identical to the Honda Navi. It comes with a bit more powerful and larger engine although. The Honda Grom is powered by a 124.9 cc single cylinder air cooled four stroke engine. On the other hand the Honda Navi is powered by a 109.2 cc single cylinder air cooled four stroke engine. It gets a V-matic automatic transmission and generates 8.3 PS of peak power and 8.96 Nm of peak torque. The top speed for Honda Navi is 81 kmph while it offers 60 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
