BMW Motorrad India has launched its first-ever maxi-scooter for the Indian market. The automaker has been teasing the new C 400 GT on its official social media handles for a while now and at long last, it’s finally here. With the new C 400 GT, BMW Motorrad has not only launched the most powerful scooter on sale in India but it is also the most expensive one. The BMW C 400 GT is priced at a whopping Rs 9.95 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, this maxi-scooter is even more expensive than some middle-weight superbikes.

The price of the new BMW C 400 GT is almost Rs 10 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, this new maxi-scooter is more expensive than even some middle-weight superbikes in the country.

The new BMW C 400 GT is based on a newly engineered rugged tubular steel frame that aids in its enhanced handling and directional stability at higher speeds. This can also help with the robustness that’s required for day-to-day use. The maxi-scooter gets telescopic forks at the front with 112 mm travel and twin shock absorbers at the rear with pre-load adjustability. For braking duties, the new BMW C 400 GT gets disc brakes at both ends along with BMW Motorrad’s ABS. In terms of features, the C 400 GT gets an LED headlamp and taillamp, LED turn indicators and a new 6.5-inch full-colour TFT screen, that features BMW Motorrad’s connectivity system.

This maxi-scooter will be available in two paint finish, namely Alpine White and Style Triple Black.

The C 400 GT draws power from a newly developed Euro 5 compliant water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with a total displacement of 350cc. This engine generates a peak power output of 34 horsepower (25 kW) at 7500 RPM and a maximum torque output of 35-newton metres at 5750 RPM. BMW claims that the engine has been tuned to deliver unrivaled levels of performance. The engine is paired to a CVT for smoother acceleration and minimal vibrations. With that, the new C 400 GT can get from 0-100 kmph in just 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 139 kmph.
