Honda and Kawasaki are giving you 1 lakh off their middleweight superstars.
If you are looking at getting yourself a middleweight Japanese motorcycle, then there was no better time to do that than now. Both Honda and Kawasaki are offering you discounts close to ₹ 1 lakh on their 600cc bikes, and this could be the most enticing deal on the block.
Honda is offering you their Honda CBR 650F sports bike while Kawasaki will be doing that with their naked sport Kawasaki ER-6N. This offer is most probably to get their BS-III stocks exhausted before the BS-IV amendments kick in starting April 1st.
In a country that is price conscious, it was a gamble played by motorcycle manufacturers when they decided to bring in their higher segment motorbikes. If statistics are to be believed, India is in the highest rankings in terms of growing economy. And the gamble payed off. People started investing in premium motorcycles that were lauded in the performance and engineering arena. More and more players started entering the Indian subcontinent to showcase their entry level performance machines. To help you have a clear decision making ability, we have compiled 10 bikes that fall under ₹ 5 lakhs that can suffice all your needs and dreams of owning a bike that can be both practical and fun to ride.
According to all the reports online Kawasaki will be launching two of their quarter litre naked sportsbikes in the Indian market on October 16th. The two naked bikes are the Z250 which is smaller sibling of the bigger Z800 while the other is the ER-6n which is the same Kawasaki Ninja 650 minus the fairing.
Now this is really interesting news for the bike enthusiast of India afterall they could get their hands on both these extremely capable bikes soon and ride them on our Indian roads. Now as far as the Z250 is concerned the styling has been entirely inspired from the bigger Z800 which is available in the other International markets, this motorcycle is powered by a 249 cc parallel-twin fuel-injected engine mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox generates a healthy 31.54 PS of peak power and 21.56 Nm of torque. This lightweight engine has been bolted to a sporty diamond frame tubular frame which helps it in its agile handling and sporty performance. However instead of a inverted fork this motorcycle uses telescopic suspension setup at its front and 5-way adjustable monoshock at its rear
While the bigger Kawasaki ER-6N is powered by the same engine which actually does duty on the Kawsaki Ninja 650, this naked motorcycle is powered by a 649 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled fuel-injected unit mated to a 6 speed gearbox produces about 72 Ps of peak power and 64 Nm of torque.
Both these motorcycles look extremely aggressive and I am sure will attract lot of attention. You can watch the Introduction video of both these motorcycles provided below.
