The craze of the mid-weight naked is becoming more and more alive in the Indian subcontinent, and Harley-Davidson is looking at getting a bigger piece of this market segment too. To try out their luck, the iconic American brand has launched the third member of its Street family. It has more aggressive styling and improved handling above all of the Streets.

That is the all new Harley-Davidson Street Rod. A little sparse, a little spare, and an exercise in understatement. The most sport-oriented version of the Street series offering an alternative to more conventional cruiser variants. This young generation of a machine is a serious effort to reach customers outside the likes of the classic Harley Davidsons’. Always something up their sleeves.

Back in 2006, Harley had their most sporting motorcycle ever sold called as VRSCR Street Rod (V-Twin Racing Street Custom). Bringing back this name from the dead, Harley has pimped up their street 750 and essentially made a hot-rodded machine out of it. And we are here to get an in-depth overview of this demon here:

You know things are actually getting serious when stalwarts like the Harley Davidson are putting their money and testing out electricity to power their machines. And if you have been following the Marvel studio’s Avenger series, you might have caught the stunning Scarlett Johansson picking up things for the boys on a stealthy looking black widow’s electric motorcycle.

That very bike is the next major milestone for the Milwaukee company who have made a handful of the LiveWire bikes to bring it on the streets of the world and gain feedback from customers. What one might think of it as blasphemy, few were simply awestruck at what the engineers at Harley Davidson have come up with pulling off something that seem impossible by the brand.

Whitewalls, spoked wheels, train-ish headlights and leather bound saddlebag inserts. This is not a new meaning for ‘retro’, but it is very much the retro.

After a brief abruption, the Road king made an entry back to the Indian market in 2016. Of the five different platforms in the Harley line-up, the touring segment sits right at the top. And the entry-level tourer is the quintessential Road King. A no-frills motorcycle that appears to have been carved out from a billet the size of a bus with classic design that harks back to Harley’s big bikes from the sixties; nothing modern in the looks department whatsoever, which is actually the good part.

For 2017, Harley Davidson is set to up the ante and take us back to the sixties again, but this time with even more panache. Enter the Road King Classic. It’s the stripped down tourer having no fuss whatsoever and is a mesh of nostalgic style meeting the performance and versatility of a modern Harley-Davidson touring machine.

It still carries the Hiawatha headlamp and nacelle born in the 1960’s, a time when chrome ruled the streets. What’s changed is the power unit which now is the new Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine bringing all into the here and now in a hurry. Along with it is the new suspension unit designed to give you a plush ride. In short, it is a timeless classic built for today.

Girl Crashes Her Harley Sportster 883 Aftermath Footage: Video

Few women riders are actually brave enough to ride big bikes or cruisers but we definitely salute this women rider who actually crashes her Harley Davidson Sportster 883 and still manages to gather her courage and get back and walk away from the accident site.

This particular incident took place last week in South 405 highway in California US. The Girl was actually riding her cruiser in between the two rows of cars and without warning a White Ford Fusion intervenes into the motorcycle path trying to change lanes and the women rider riding her Cruiser collided with the car. Luckily another rider who was riding behind her was able to rescue the rider and was able to shift her to a safe place. The second rider who saved her was also filming the entire incident in his helmet camera. The Good Samaritan then also helped the victim to safety by picking up the Cruiser and guiding her to the opposite side of the busy highway.

In this video you will actually watch the aftermath video of the accident which looked brutal at first instance but fortunately the rider was wearing proper biking gears and thus was actually saved. Although she suffered from a hairline fracture most probably on her leg which actually can be called a scratch keeping in the mind the amount of damage which she could have suffered from the horrible looking accident.

There was a time when the Indian two wheeler market was conscious about only two things – price and fuel efficiency. The purchase of a particular motorcycle or scooter was purely dependent on these two major factors, with the aspects like design, performance and riding dynamics taking a back seat.

However, with the changing times, the priorities have begun to change, and people are not minding to spend the additional dough from their pocket, provided they get additional performance, style and equipment. The results have been so dramatic that what we have got now is a range of some super exotic motorcycles with pricing equivalent to a 2BHK apartment.

In this feature list, we are going to have a look on the fifteen most expensive motorcycles available in the Indian market, which have started a new trend of trading in for luxury and exotic motorcycles. Following are those mean machines:-

Few years ago, Harley Davidson surprised everyone in the Indian subcontinent, when it announced its foray into the Indian two wheeler market. At a time when the superbiking culture in the nation was still in a nascent stage, Harley Davidson took a brave step by setting up its own production facility in India and started local assembly of some of its motorcycles, the most affordable one of which was the Superlow.

Till the arrival of Street 750 in 2014, the Superlow held the title of being the most affordable motorcycle from the glorious portfolio of cruisers from Harley Davidson. Considering the huge fan following for its parent brand in India, the Superlow acted as the ticket to the Harley Davidson family, as the company had priced it rather aggressively in the Indian two wheeler market.

In the 2016 portfolio for the Indian market, Harley Davidson decided to ditch the Superlow, which raised many eyebrows. However, considering the increasing popularity of Street 750 and Iron 883, it was pretty natural for Superlow to get discontinued. However, Harley Davidson might bring yet another version of Superlow in the Indian market, this time, in a slightly different avatar – the Superlow 1200T. Essentially, a 1200cc variant of the Superlow, which was available in 883cc guise in India before, the Superlow 1200T gets a slightly bigger stance and more premium positioning over the latter. Here’s our take on the all new Harley Davidson Superlow 1200T:-

Harley Davidson India has had quite a successful run in the Indian two wheeler market, by replicating the success it has tasted in other global markets as well. All the motorcycles, whether old school cruisers or new age bobbers, have garnered a cult status here in India, which is a testimony of the huge potential which the leisure motorcycles have got in the country.

Talking about the leisure motorcycles, Harley Davidson is well known as the numero uno manufacturer of cruisers around the world. Among many family/sub brands within the Harley Davidson brand, the ‘Softail’ family is the most popular sub brand thanks to the legendary machines present under its umbrella – Fat Boy and Heritage Softail Classic. Both the motorcycles were simultaneously launched in the Indian market a couple of years ago, with the Fat Boy being the smaller one of the two motorcycles. But let us remind you that it is not ‘small’ by any means – the Fat Boy is one of the most iconic and purest full size American cruisers on sale in the Indian market in the current times.

We have already received the latest iteration of the Fat Boy, which comes bathed in chrome and has that ‘bling’ which Harley Davidson is known for. However, considering the rising fans of dark looking motorcycles with blackened appeal, Harley Davidson does has that version of the Fat Boy too in the international market, with the name Fat Boy S. The motorcycle is positioned above the standard Fat Boy, and looks a bit more mean due to its blackened stealth appearance. Here’s our comprehensive review of the Harley Davidson Fat Boy S.

Find out who wins this ultimate and unusual drag race
Drag Race: Harley Davidson 48 Vs KTM Duke 390: Video

We all know cruiser is no match when it comes to streetfighter and today we have got just a video which actually proves everyone wrong. In this video you can watch a Harley Davidson 48 takes on a KTM Duke 390 on a highway in a drag race and you will actually be shocked to see the result. Towards the beginning on the video you can watch the Harley Davidson rider actually leaves the Duke 390 far behind. The Harley Davidson could reach a top speed of over 180 km/h mark where the Duke 390 can do about 160 mark in real life situation.

So the outcome of the drag race for the Duke 390 and the Harley Davidson 48 was that Harley Davidson left the Duke 390 far behind. The next race which they conducted was actually a 0-100 km/h race and as you all are very much aware of the fact that the Duke 390 produces an impressive power output and it is also lighter in comparison to the Cruiser but the HD really does the unthinkable it produces an impressive amount of torque and thus the Streetfighter was no match to the Duke 390 even when it comes to 0-100 km/h sprint.

In today’s day and age, the Indian two wheeler market seem to be over crowded with the number of offerings in almost all the segments, starting from that of puny 100cc commuters going all the way up to extravagant cruisers, yet there are some segments which have been complete with the existence of rivalry between only two key players.

Yes, in their periphery, many motorcycles have come and gone, and few have existed as well, but then, the popularity of the competition of such pairs of bikes have made the other motorcycles lesser talked about models. It is the rivalry of such motorcycles, which have made other manufactures sit back, notice and take inspiration from them. In this feature, we are going to talk about eleven such pairs of bikes, the competition of which have made the Indian motorcycling scene much more popular and interesting. Here you go.

In the Indian market, there is no other manufacturer which enjoys a status and reputation which Harley Davidson has got. The manufacturer entered into India almost a decade ago, and since then, has been recording excellent sales, thanks to its global reputation as a niche cruiser maker.

Though Harley Davidson has got cruisers ranging from an entry level cruiser like Street 750 to a mammoth personalized cruiser in the form of a CVO Limited, the maximum number of sales does come from the Street 750, Sportster and Dyna family. Among these three families within Harley Davidson, the Dyna family consists of the most powerful motorcycles, if not more than those of the Softail or Touring range. The Dyna family in the Indian market comprises of only two motorcycles – Street Bob and Fat Bob.

Out of these two motorcycles, the Fat Bob is the more expensive one, and has a muscular stance comparable to the old school Fat Boy. Existing exactly in the midrange of the Harley Davidson portfolio, here’s our comprehensive review of the Harley Davidson Fat Bob.

2015 was not so happening year for Harley Davidson in the Indian market. The American manufacturer, which started off with a bang in India by a slew of launches and then consecutively launching its most affordable model globally in the form of Street 750 in India, remained almost silent in 2015 with no major launch taking place in the year. As a result, the monthly sale too took a substantial dip, as opposed to the company’s expectations.

Harley Davidson wants to initiate the year 2016 with leaving behind all the negativities, and has launched its much awaited 1200 Custom in the Indian market. To all those who don’t know, the 1200 Custom is the biggest and most powerful motorcycle under the Sportster family of Harley Davidson worldwide.

As a growing manufacturer, Harley Davidson wants to expand its business in the India and make it one of its biggest markets, and the 1200 Custom may just be one of the stepping stones in the right direction, due to its comparatively affordable packaging. Here’s our take on the all new Harley Davidson 1200 Custom.

No other motorcycle manufacturer has tasted a huge success at just its entry in the Indian market, what Harley Davidson has experienced. At a time when the superbiking culture in the nation was still in a nascent stage, Harley Davidson took a brave step by setting up its own production facility in India and started local assembly of some of its motorcycles, the most affordable one of which was the Superlow, and moving up the ladder, comes the Iron 883.

Most of the people know that the Street 750 is completely made in India and therefore it is true. But the Street 750 lacks the American essence which a typical Harley Davidson motorcycle has. So for those who want an authentic Harley Davidson, they are advised to look beyond the Street 750 and choose from the Sportster family, which now includes two models – Iron 883 and Forty Eight. Out of these two motorcycles, the Forty Eight is the more premium and expensive motorcycle, which reminds you of the old school bobbers. Considering the huge fan following for its parent brand in India, the Forty Eight is one of the highest selling models for Harley Davidson in India, after Street 750 and Iron 883, as the company had priced it rather aggressively in the Indian two wheeler market.

A roadster-cum-cruiser motorcycle belonging to the brand’s ‘Sportster’ family, the Forty Eight is adorned with all the essentials which are reminiscent of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Forty Eight was recently refreshed by the company, the details of which are discussed below.
