The wild one gets bigger teeth and claw to take up anything coming its way.

We all know that Ducati is one such motorcycle maker which makes machines straight from the heart. Every motorcycle in the stable of Ducati speaks of some purpose which is beautifully blended with the pinch of hardcore passion. Ducati made a surprising move some half a decade ago when it unveiled the Multistrada for the first time in front of the world. Out of all the motorcycles from Ducati, the Multistrada proved out to be the most practical motorcycle which still doesn’t miss out on the specific Ducati principles.

The Multistrada gradually went on creating a new niche of motorcycles, thus changing the image of Ducati as a manufacturer of only hard-core supersports. Then in 2015, they gave us the Enduro edition. Unlike the urban design of the standard Multistrada 1200, the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro claims to expose the wild side of Ducati, with its pure adventure appeal.

Now in 2017, the brand has taken it to the next level. They have given the adventure junkie more tools to let the 1200 Enduro go “even more globetrotter with the Pro version”. To allow treading on even less-beaten track, the Pro features rally tyres, new tank bars, new colour schemes, type-approved titanium exhaust sets and more. Let me go ranting about them:

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Launched In India: What You Should Know

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Launched In India: What You Should Know

The Pikes Peak edition packs lot of electronics onboard and gets a punchy engine

Ducati introduced the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak edition in India; the new Ducati will be available in dealerships across Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Now the name Pikes Peak was given to the motorcycle after Ducati conquered the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado. Ducati unveiled the new generation Multistrada and although there were plenty of modern features installed in the new generation motorcycle the overall silhouette actually remained same. Just like the standard Multistrada 1200 the Pikes Peak edition too promises the practicality of a true sports Tourer while at the same time it promises all the chills and thrills of faired supersport motorcycle.

Talk about the styling changes and there are very few actually Ducati has not messed with the overall silhouette of the Pikes Peak edition but it does get the same aggressive front nose with duel air ducts just below the headlamp, talking about the headlamp unit these headlamps are full LED headlamps which obviously provides better illumination. Just above the headlamp unit the Pike’s Peak edition has a comparatively smaller visor which actually helps you differentiate between the standard model and this special edition from the front. The rest of the design elements remains unchanged however the Pikes peak edition does get this attractive looking duel paint scheme which definitely attracts all the attention. There is no denying in the fact that the Red and White color combination make it looks even more defined and gorgeous.

Now for those who thought there is absolutely no difference in between the standard and this special edition are actually wrong, towards the rear profile the Pikes peak edition actually looks a lot slimmer thanks to the slick looking grab rail handlebar and the slick looking full LED taillamps. This motorcycle also gets a carbon fiber Termignoni exhaust pipe which definitely sounds better.

2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro

2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro

Ducati made a surprising move some half a decade ago when it unveiled the Multistrada for the first time. The motorcycle was hugely praised for its fusion of a semi-faired sportsbike and an adventure motorcycle, making it one of the most perfect adventure tourers on sale. The Multistrada gradually went on creating a new niche of motorcycle, thus changing the image of Ducati as a manufacturer of only hardcore supersports.

But one thing which remained as a glitch with the Multistrada was that it used to look too soft to be termed as an adventure motorcycle, given the fact that its rivals like the BMW R 1200 GS and Triumph Tiger Explorer had a way more hardcore visual appeal, leave aside the prowess under the skin. Ducati took this customer feedback seriously and with what it came out open in the EICMA 2015 was a welcoming move – the all new Mulitstrada 1200 Enduro.

Unlike the urban design of the standard Multistrada, the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro claims to expose the wild side of Ducati, with its pure adventure appeal. Here’s our quick review on the all new Multistrada 1200 Enduro.
