Yamaha is all set to launch a new motorcycle on 21st January 2019 and it could either be the MT15 naked bike or this, the 3rd generation of the FZ naked motorcycle. And we believe the 2019 Yamaha FZ-S V3 price will start from about Rs 90,000 ex-showroom Delhi. Pictures of the new model is now doing rounds of the Internet.
In terms of design, the updated Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 will have a new redesigned fuel tank design along with new side panels. Like the FZ25, it will also come with LED headlights and the seat will be a single unit affair now. We can also confirm huge dummy air intake scoops in the tank extensions which do remind us of the V-Max! The alloy wheels of the new model also look different. Last but not the least, the 2019 Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 will get a new engine cover panel.
Report also suggest that the exhaust and the tail section of the new model have also been given a tweak. In terms of performance, the current Yamaha FZ-S comes with a 149cc single cylinder engine with fuel injection and max power / torque of 13.2 PS / 12.8 Nm. Yamaha could retune the motor slightly to extract better performance and the same 5 speed manual gearbox will be carried over. Fuel economy might remain same which means you can expect 45-50 kmpl in city usage. We can safely expect this third gen Yamaha FZ to get ABS (anti lock braking system) as optional. The bike will lock horns with the 155cc Suzuki Gixxer and other 150cc offerings from Honda. The current FZ-S has a starting price of Rs 82,000 for the carb and Rs 88,000 for the Fi version. Yamaha will add in a premium of about 2-5000 for the new model, taking the ex-showroom price of 2019 Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 Fi to over 90,000
