Motorcycles launched the Scout in both our national and international markets. The Scout is a completely new motorcycle which comes with many interesting features and offcourse! A powerful engine bolted to its chassis.
We all know the iconic Indian Motorcycles rich history and how their story began back in the year 1901and also their journey from being the World’s largest manufacturer of motorcycle to getting bankrupt and later brought and revived by Polaris in the year 2011, they have seen and experienced it all. Their latest launch the Scout is actually not a new motorcycle that came out from their workshop the Scout was actually a popular model that was manufactured between the years 1920 and 1946 alongside the Chief, which was manufactured between the years 1922 and 1953.
But the recently launched Scout is the first ever Indian motorcycle to receive a the first-ever liquid-cooled engine which not only produces an amazing amount of smooth power and torque delivery but also an absolutely fantastic exhaust note which I am sure all the cruiser fans will love.

This American Cruiser looks dead gorgeous from every possible angle you look at it, starting from its muscular front fenders to the curvy fuel tank with the Indian Scout badge makes you feel its presence while one cannot ignore the beautifully stitched solo seat covered with desert tan genuine leather. Indian Motorcycle says that the styling DNA of the original Scout is also evident in this new motorcycle. You can clearly see that the whole V-twin engine is clearly visible in the middle of the motorcycle. The headlight at the front has the chrome trim which looks classy with the Blacked out trim. Towards the rear things gets more dramatic the duel exhaust at the rear definitely makes you realize this motorcycles power and presence.
This motorcycle not only does look good but also handles well and all the credit goes to the Lightweight chassis which adds more maneuverability and fun factor to your daily ride.
The Indian Scout has been powered by a four stroke liquid cooled 1131cc, V-twin, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine which produces about 100 Hp of peak power and 97.7 NM of peak toque at 5900 RPM, the engine has been mated to a 6 speed gearbox which send all that power to the rear wheel.
The Liquid cooled engine provides efficient cooling and makes sure that you actually can ride this motorcycle for long distances without worrying about anything else, the electronic fuel injected engine also makes sure that you don’t really have to worry much about the fuel. So if you are thinking of a powerful yet lightweight and well handled cruiser which as already mentioned above also comes with a lightweight chassis which provides a balanced ride.
SUSPENSION AND BRAKING
The Indian Scout has been fitted with a Telsecopic Fork suspension setup at its front while the rear gets Dual shocks. For braking Indian has provided the motorcycle with single 298 mm disc brakes while the rear also gets 298 mm discs to bring it to a halt.
Indian Scouit is already available in the Indian market and is priced at Rs. 11,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Indian Scout is a well built cruiser which now uses a very modern liquid cooled engine which is also fuel injected, the power and torque produced is also impressive. Indian Motorcycles also provides a couple of optional accessories you can fit in your motorcycle which includes a windshield, saddlebags, and rider backrests etc. Although this kind of cruisers now has lot of competition in the Indian market still Indian Motorcycles always will have a soft corner in the hearts of Cruiser lovers.
