2017 Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Suzuki unveiled the Ignis Crossover at the Tokyo Motor show and since then we knew that Maruti definitely will bring it to the Indian market. And after almost a year we were assured by the Maruti officials that they certainly will be introducing the new Ignis in India.
Now coming to the iconic Japanese auto maker Suzuki, they have been known for their small cars across the globe while their recent plans also are to launch almost 20 global car models. Maruti have already launched the Baleno hatchback which is the production variant of the IK-2 Concept and this is actually a global product which mens better build quality, improved interiors and impressive safety features feature for the passengers inside. Let’s not get into all those details and focus completely on the car which was launched today on 13th January 2017 at a gala event where Swedish DJ, Axwell performed live. To all our surprise Maruti has priced the Ignis compact Crossover quite aggressively which is actually a good thing.
The Ignis Crossover has derived from the IM-4 concept; the car was already previewed at the 2016 Auto expo and was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor show. The Ignis Crossover is positioned below the Vitara Brezza hatchback and will compete with some other B-Segment hatchback & Crossovers like the Mahindra KUV100, Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo etc.

2017 Ford Ecosport Spotted With New Touchscreen System
We already have shared the information that Ford will be launching an updated 2017 variant of the existing Ecosport in India before they actually bring in the facelift variant of the compact SUV which was showcased at the 2016 New York Auto show towards the end of this year.
We also have reported that the My 2017 Ecosport Titanium+ variant exclusively will get a completely new 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system for the very first time which will be an upgrade from the current unit. Today we have got our hands on some spy images of the updated 2017 Ecosport variant which were clicked by Mr. Nagaraj Muthuswamy of Ford EcoSport Owners & Fans Facebook page.
The completely new touchscreen infotainment system gets integrated with features like satellite navigation system, DVD player, Door Ajar warning. While the Screen also doubles up and projects images when the rear view camera is active.
Apart from the touchscreen infotainment system MY 2017 Ecosport also sports a new and chunky 17 inch alloy wheels which has been borrowed from the Ecosport sold in the other International markets. The new wheels also get wrapped with 205/50/R17 rubber. However expect these new set of wheels to also be exclusive to the top end Titanium+ variant only.
Unfortunately Ford India has actually decided to delete some of the features which were available with the current Ecosport in this new 2017 variant. The list of features includes driver seat armrest, cooled glove box, leather-wrapped handbrake and gear shift knob etc.
2018 Suzuki Gymny/ Maruti Gypsy
Rumours suggest that Maruti might reintroduce the Gypsy in the Indian market in the coming years. According to the latest reports Suzuki might manufacture the next generation Jimny in India. The Jimny was showcased last time at the 2012 Auto Expo and it received quite a positive response from the people. Although there is not much depth in the possibilities right now but the next generation Jimny perhaps might be sold in India as the next generation Gypsy.
For all your information the Gypsy was the long wheelbase version of the Gymny compact SUV. Some of the reports also suggests that the next generation compact SUV will actually be built on the same lightweight platform which also underpins the current Baleno and the Ignis Crossover and hatchback. The next generation SUV will also be exported onto some other International markets from India as well.

KTM To Launch RC200 & RC390 In India On 19th January 2017
KTM officially announced that they will be launching the 2017 RC200 and RC390 in India on 19th January 2017. The RC series motorcycles gets some minor cosmetic updates which comes in the form of new colour updates. While the more powerful RC390 gets some mechanical upgrades as well.
The KTM RC390 gets a slightly bigger 300 mm disc brakes towards the front and a completely new side mounted exhaust system which has been constructed of lightweight materials to keep the overall weight down. The RC390 is still powered by the same 373 cc, single cylinder liquid cooled engine which is capable of producing about 44 ps of peak power and 36 Nm of torque. The torque amount has been increased by 1 Nm. The engine is still paired to the same 6 speed gearbox.
The RC200 on the other hand is still powered by the 199.5 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled unit which is capable of producing about 25 Bhp of peak power and around 19 Nm of torque. This engine too is paired to a 6 speed gearbox. There has been no mechanical changes made to the RC200 engine however expect both the engine to be complaint to the BSIV emission norms.
Maruti To Launch Ignis Crossover Tomorrow!
Maruti is all set to launch the Ignis Crossover tomorrow in India. Like you already know that the Crossover will be sold in the Indian market via the Nexa dealership alongside the Baleno and the S-Cross. The Ignis Crossover first made its debut at the 2016 Indian auto expo and was showcased alongside the Baleno RS hatchback. The bookings for the Ignis Crossover have already started in the Indian market and once can book the mini SUV by paying a token amount of INR. 11, 000.
The Ignis Crossover will be offered with four different variants which include:- Sigma, Alpha, Delta, Zeta. These are the same variants which are also available with the Baleno and S-Cross Crossover. The Ignis underpins a completely new platform which is not only lightweight but rigid at the same time. This lightweight platform has also helped improving the handling and also high speed stability. As far as the styling is concerned the Hexa Crossover gets all the styling inspiration from iM4 concept previewed at the Geneva Motor Show . The Crossover boasts sporty looking bumpers square looking headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps. While the front grille gets some chrome accents. The side profile gets slightly bigger wheels while the overall profile gets Boxy design the rear profile gets LED taillamps which actually goes well with the overall design.
Honda City Facelift Completely Revealed In These New Set Of Spy Images
We already have reported earlier that Honda will be launching the City facelift in the markets of Thailand on 13th January 2017 and offcourse! The Indian launch too isn’t far away.
The City facelift was already caught undisguised but this new image reveals the front and rear profile of the sedan completely. Like we already said before the front end of the sedan now looks like that they have taken inspiration from the new generation Civic and Accord. The headlamp shape also has been slightly redesigned as well furthermore the headlamps unit now also gets integrated daytime running lamps. The new bolder looking grille runs into the headlamp area and gives the front profile a slightly more shaper look. The front bumper has also been designed and it now gets 3 air intake slots along with the fog lamps as well. The other change comes in the form of new 16 inch alloy wheels and a slightly tweaked rear bumper.
On the inside the City facelift sedan will most likely get an all new infotainment system which is compatible with both Apple car play and Android Auto system. This new touchscreen infotainment system also gets a navigation system as well. The City facelift will likely also get the all black interior as well. While for the safety of the passengers it will feature six airbags as well along with ABS and EBD.
According to the reports the Thailand spec City facelift will retain the 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine capable of producing 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox. While the other variant gets the CVT Transmission as an option.
Land Rover Introduces Petrol Variant Of The Range Rover Evoque
Land Rover launched the facelift Range Rover Evoque in India in December 2016 and now after a month the British auto manufacturer has introduced the petrol variant of the Evoque in India. The diesel variant which was introduced was during the time of the launch was powered by the new 2.0-litre Ingenium motor which replaced the 2.2 Litre unit.
Now the petrol variant which was introduced earlier today gets the 2.0-litre petrol mill which produces about 241 Hp of peak power. This is the same unit which powers the Discovery Sport as well. The Petrol variant of the Evoque is available only with the SE trim. The other variants which are available with the diesel unit include Pure, SE, SE Dynamic, HSE and HSE Dynamic trims.
Some other features which are available on the facelift variant of the Evoque include redesigned headlamps with xenon headlights, the headlamps unit also gets integrated LED DRLs lamps, panoramic sunroof and also17-inch alloy wheels as well towards its side profile. The rear profile on the other hand gets redesigned taillamps as well. Inside the updated Evoque features height adjustable driver seat, a completely new eight-inch InControl Touch infotainment system with navigation.
The petrol variant Range Rover Evoque rivals the likes of the new BMW X3 which also recently introduced its petrol variant.
2017 Honda Mobilio
According to the recent reports on the internet Honda is all set to introduce the facelift Mobilio in the Indian market. The Mobilio is direct rival of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and perhaps is the only MPV which was able to give some stiff competition to Maruti’s Ertiga.
The Honda Mobilio was launched back in 2013 and it was able to impress the crowd with its spacious interior great handling and ride quality. But recently the MPV segment of India has taken a back seat as the sale of the MPV has dwindled down in recent years because of the increasing demand of the compact SUV. Honda recently updated the Amaze compact sedan and Brio hatchback and they are also all set to introduce the City facelift as well soon in the Indian market which also happens to be their best selling product.

Honda City Facelift Spied On Indian Soil For The First Time
Honda will be launching the City facelift in India after it launches in the market of Thailand on 12th January. The car was teased in Thailand social media couple of times but the midsize sedan was caught on the Indian soil undisguised for the very first time during a TVC shoot. Now as already reported earlier the sedan sports a design inspired from the new generation Civic and Accord.
The City facelift for the first time gets wraparound new LED headlamps, redesigned bumper and fog lamps towards the front. While towards the rear the sedan gets a LED taillamps as well. While towards the side profile it gets 16 inch diamond cut alloys. The City sedan facelift also gets an all black interior. The slightly redesigned dashboard houses a new touchscreen infotainment system which also integrates an Apple car play and Android Auto compatibility.
The City facelift will continue with the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and i-DTEC diesel engines but offcourse Honda will make some improvements. The drivetrain will be paired to the same 6 speed manual as well as 6 speed automatic transmissions.
Expect the City facelift launch to take place towards the month of February 2017 after its Thailand launch. As far as the pricing is concerned it will be priced slightly higher than the pre-facelift variants.
Everthing You Want To Know About the Royal Enfield Redditch Edition
This was actually a surprising move from Royal Enfield; the popular Cruiser manufacturer introduced special edition models for their Classic series towards the beginning of the New Year. The Classic 350 is the best selling motorcycles from Royal Enfield lineup and is the only motorcycle which has helped RE gain those amazing sales numbers.
The Classic is popular amongst the crowd for its old school styling and the new Redditch Edition will further give its sales figure a further boost. Redditch is a small town in UK which is located about 15 miles away South of Birmingham. This is the same town where the Royal Enfield Motorcycles were made.
The history says it all the Royal Enfield Redditch monogram first was used on the tank of prototype 125cc ’Royal Baby’ 2-stroke motorcycle in 1939. While due to World War 2 the plan of its production for the general public was put on hold but the motorcycle was adopted by the British armed forces. In 2008 the RE monogram, still encapsulated within a winged emblem was used on the Classic 350 when it was launched. The Classic monogram is still used in the Classic motorcycles engines of the present Classic, Desert Storm, Battle Green and Squadron Blue motorcycles, the Bullet 350 and 500, the Thunderbird cruisers and obviously the Thunderbird Cruisers as well and lastly on the Continental GT cafe racer.
New 2017 KTM Duke 390 Spied Once Again On Indian Soil!
The motorcycle is already launched in the markets of US and Europe and now it’s almost time for its India launch. We are talking about the much awaited new generation KTM Duke 390. The motorcycle was already quite being tested on the Indian road. But this is the latest spy pictures of the motorcycle available at this moment. Although the motorcycle is strictly covered in heavy camouflage but its unique shape does not hide away the fact that this is actually the upcoming 2017 KTM Duke 390.
The motorcycle was first unveiled at the 2016 EICMA show and apart from being sharper and more responsive the Duke 390 also gets plenty of new exciting hardware as well. To begin with the Duke 390 gets a completely redesigned headlamp cluster which features LED lights; the instrument cluster too is all new and looks bigger than the older unit. It also gets a new exhaust system which has replaced the underbelly unit seen on its predecessor. The new generation Duke 390 also gets a chiselled and sharper looking fuel tank. Some other hardware which are carried over from its predecessor include the upside down front forks and the rear monoshock unit. For the safety of the occupants the Duke 390 gets Abs as standard.
Powering the new generation Duke 390 is the same old 373 cc single cylinder fuel injected, liquid cooled unit which produces exactly the same 44 Ps of power and 37 Nm of torque (the torque amount has increased by 2 percent).The engine is paired to a 6 speed gearbox. The new engine with the new exhausts system is actually BSIV compliant.
