A treat for Fortuner loves during this festive season
Toyota launched a new Fortuner variant in India just a few days before the Festive season. Called the Fortuner TRD Sportivo this trim is priced at INR. 31.01 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Sportivo variant is developed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and is available in Indian market only in the 4x2AT variant.
Now to distinguish it from the standard variant this unique trim gets few cosmetic updates both on its exterior as well as interior. However, there were no changes made under the hood. Launched back in 2009, the Fortuner has dominated the Indian market since then. The updated new generation SUV was launched last year, and it managed to score fairly in the Indian market as well.
Under the hood, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo gets the same 2.8 Litre four-cylinder diesel unit that produces about 175 bhp of peak power and 450 Nm of peak torque. Besides this diesel unit it also gets a 2.7 Litre petrol engine as well which is capable of producing about 164 bhp of peak power and 245 Nm of peak torque. The driver pulls of the first stunt perfectly but watch what happens next
Toyota Innova is a household name and its primary purpose, or it’s popular because it can carry almost 7 to 8 passengers from one place to another. In other words, it’s basically a people mover. The Innova is naturally a people mover, and thus it is a bulky and heavy vehicle. Who would have thought of even performing some stunts like reverse drifting and burnout with this machine? But here in this video, you will actually be surprised when you will watch a Toyota Innova doing all sort of things which anyone of us ever expected from a car of this size.
Here in this video, you can watch some members of the Garage Autowerks performing reverse drift and burn-out on this White Innova. As you can watch the driver manages to perform the reverse drift correctly on the tarmac and then tries to do a burnout. The Innova like you all know by now is a rear wheel drive vehicle and thus he presses firmly onto the front brakes and performs a burnout with the people movers rear wheels.
From the styling it is quite clear that this is the old generation Innova and thus is powered most probably by the 2.5 litre, inline4, turbocharger diesel engine displacing 2494 cc produces about 102 Ps of peak power at 3600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque in between 1400-3400 rpm.
This is an absolute insane video and you will actually have to watch the whole video to believe with your own eyes.
The Innova no doubt has done wonders for Toyota in India and helped them strengthen their foothold here

This will be sold as a top end variant and will get few cosmetic updates to its exterior and interior
Toyota launched their most popular MPV back in 2004, and there is no doubt that there is absolutely no other car in its segment which comes close to this MPV when it comes to its sales figures. Last year Toyota introduced the new generation Innova and christened it as the Innova Crysta. Apart fro the Indian market Toyota also sells the Innova in the markets of Indonesia. Recently they have introduced a top-spec variant of the MPV in their market called the Innova Venturer. Now according to the recent reports, Toyota will launch the same car in the Indian market as well, and it too will be sold as the top spec variant. However, the top spec MPV will be called ‘Touring Sport’.
The car is expected to get the same styling inspiration seen on the Toyota Venturer. On the outside, the Innova Touring sport will get black body claddings on the front bumper as well on the wheel arches towards the side profile. In addition to the bumper, the car also features new side skirts as well which adds a slightly bolder look to the MPV. Expect the new top end variant of the Innova Crysta also to feature chrome embellishments as well across the exterior. Thus expect the front grille of the Innova Crysta to feature chrome surrounds, while the outer ORVM’s and rear bumpers will also get touches of chrome as well. The Innova Crysta Touring Sport variant will also get slightly bigger alloy wheels as well.
The new cars will hit the Indian market within the next two years and some already did
Remember the good old times, not more than a decade ago, when the Indian car market was much lesser crowded than what it was. The first 10 years of the 21st century saw the advent of most of the big giants in the country, which initiated their journey with some world class products which were much popular overseas. However, call it the end of their long lifecycle, their much-ahead-of-the-time or their ill fate of not being received with open hands, most of these globally hit cars died off after a time frame.
Thankfully, all their parent manufacturers still have some soft corners in their hearts for these cars, which is why some of them are making a full-fledged comeback, in all new generation models. These cars will now feature massive changes in and out and are planning to now shake up the well-settled up segment, rather than just creating them what their previous generation models did. Following is a list of seven such previously available cars which are making a comeback in 2017 in the Indian car market:-
The strong hybrid vehicle which is made in India gets plenty of new updates
The concept of Hybrid vehicles might still be new for most of us Indians, and our Government is not doing enough to promote Green vehicles in our Country. But, some Auto manufacturers like Toyota, Mahindra and BMW has introduced Hybrid vehicles for our Indian market with very few takers, though.
Toyota Motor Corporation has sold more than 10.5 million Hybrid vehicles globally and has made constant efforts to Hybridise India. Recently they have introduced two new hybrid vehicles for the Indian market which includes the new Camry Hybrid and the Hybrid Pioneer: All-new Toyota Prius. According to Toyota these environment-friendly vehicles definitely can have a positive impact on the environment if they are used across the globe. They also did mention that they are euphoric to announce that they already have sold more than 10 million hybrid vehicles globally.
The Camry sedan is definitely India’s first Hybrid car which is manufactured here in India. The car promises a revolutionary hybrid technology, a modern and sporty exterior, the highest level of comfort inside and unmatched safety standard. All these features make the Camry hybrid a complete package.

The hatchback gets plenty of exterior and few interior updates
Toyota Kirloskar Motors introduced the duel tone Etios Liva in India, the hatchback not only gets a duel tone overall design but also class-leading cabin space and safety features.
Toyota made their presence felt in one of the most competitive segments of the Indian market by launching the Etios Liva hatchback back in 2011 just after a year of the launch of the Etios sedan. Toyota extended their Etios family of hatchbacks by introducing the Etios Cross back in the year 2014. Last year Toyota also introduced the Platinum Etios in Indian market which has helped the auto manufacturer to register an overall growth of 7 percent towards the last quarter of 2016.
Compared to some other hatchback of its segment the Etios Liva failed to impress the crowd despite its feature packed interior, abundant safety feature and fuel-efficient drivetrains. Toyota launched the refreshed Etios and Liva hatchback last year and although these are not exactly new generation cars but mid-life refresh they certainly looked sportier and bolder than the older cars.
Coming to the newly introduced Dueltone variant, the hatchback not only gets some cosmetic updates to its exterior but interior as well. With an option of both petrol and diesel drivetrains on offer the Etios Liva Duel tone surely looks like a compact package.
