The ‘Touchscreen infotainment system’ is the latest luxury gadget that the auto manufacturers fit in their cars. Although, there are not plenty of cars which get this feature but still Auto manufacturers know that people love operating touchscreen provided infotainment system in their cars.
The modern touchscreen infotainment system which replaces the standard car stereos mostly combines music players, reverse cameras, car data and navigation. Now the touchscreen featured in some budget cars might not have highly responsive touch sensitive screens like the ones fitted in some premium cars and thus takes some time and patience to operate. As a result of that, the driver might even have to take their eyes off the road to operate these systems and put their fingers in the right place on the screen to work it. Although it may not be safe still people loves this new feature because it adds the premium feel inside the cabin.

Only the top end XZA petrol trim gets the Easy Shift AMT gearbox
There is no doubt that the Tiago hatchback has definitely enlisted its name in the Tata Motors successful list of products. But in order to stay in the competition and make their product even more attractive, the Indian Auto manufacturer introduced the AMT variant of the hatchback as well. The the TIAGO Easy-Shift AMT. Priced at INR 5.73 lakhs, (ex-showroom Mumbai) and INR 5.39 lakhs, (ex-showroom Delhi}.
The car was caught a couple of times being tested on the Indian road, the Tiago Easy Shift AMT will be available only with the top end XZA petrol variant. The Tiago AMT is thus available only with the 1.2L, 3 cylinder Revotron petrol engine which is capable of producing about 85hp of peak power and 114Nm of torque. The car is now available for sale in all the 597 Tata Motors outlets across the country.
The AMT gearbox features four gear positions which include Automatic, Neutral, Reverse and Manual. The gearbox tends to promise smooth acceleration and a stress-free driving in City traffic. The gearbox also gets 2 individual drive modes which include sports and City modes to ensure a peppy as well as economical city cruising. While the ‘Sports’ mode also ensures a performance-oriented driving. The manual mode, on the other hand, allows the driver to shift gears with just a push on the gear stick. Furthermore, the Easy Shift AMT also gets an inbuilt ‘creep’ feature which allows the car to crawl as soon as one takes the foot out of the brake pedal without actually pressing the accelerator; this feature especially comes in handy in sloping terrain because it does not let the car to roll back.
Launch soon but will only be available with top two petrol trims only
We heard rumours of Tata Motors introducing the AMT variant of the Tiago and from what it seems like the rumours were actually true. Recently a leaked spec sheet gave away all the details that one needs about these soon to be launched Tata Tiago AMT variants.
The AMT variant of the Tiago was already spied earlier and it will be available with the petrol variant only. The Tiago AMT, when launched, will compete directly with the Alto K10 AMT and the Celerio AMT.
With the launch now almost near Team-BHP was able to get their hands on some leaked spec sheets of the Tiago AMT variant. To begin with, the AMT variant will be available with the top two variants only. The details leaked online said that the Tiago AMT will only be available with the top end XT and XZ trims.
Thus the AMT gearbox will be equipped only with the 1.2 Litre, 3 cylinder Revotron petrol unit capable of producing about 85 PS of peak power and 114 Nm. Apart from just the addition of the AMT gearbox, there won’t be any other changes to be made to the AMT equipped car. As far as the pricing is concerned to expect the AMT variant to be priced a tad bit higher than the manual variants.
After the Nano and the Zest, the Tiago will actually be the third model to be offered with AMT transmission.

The first car equipped with all these future technologies will be showcased for the first time Infront of the public at 2017, Geneva Motor show which will commence from March 7th onward.

Ford did debut their latest voice activated in-car technology SYNC 3 system today. The in car infotainment system which was unveiled internationally in the year 2014 finally made its India debut on Ford’s flagship SUV offering the Endeavour.
Ford’s latest in car infotainment technology enables both Android and Apple users to access their phones messages, audio calls safely. Apart from all these some of the other new features include seamless integration of AppLink which helps to access the phones apps easily. There is also Siri Eyes-Free capability for Apple iPhone and software updates via Wi-Fi.
The SYNC3 system was the first system which featured voice activation to control the Smartphone features. It additionally also provides potentially lifesaving Emergency Assistance system which automatically calls the emergency services like Ambulance or a fire brigade in the event of an accident when the airbags are deployed. This has actually helped save lives in the past.

BMW i3 is the German automaker’s fully electric car
BMW i is a part of the German automaker BMW, which is responsible for developing and making electric cars.
