Drag Race Video: Tamo RACEMO vs Toyota GT86
Tata Motors unveiled the ‘TAMO RACEMO’ at the 2017 Geneva Motors and this also happens to be India’s first globally developed ‘phygital’ car, which was used in the Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 3 game. The Game actually gives an opportunity to the gamer to experience and drive the Tamo Racemo in virtual world. The gamers actually can drive the car before the Racemo is actually launched in the market.
Now here in this video you can actually watch the Tamo Racemo in action as it competes against the Toyota GT86. Now both these cars are entry level 2 door sportscars, while the Racemo is powered by the 1.2 Litre turbocharged 3 cylinder unit which put out about 188 Hp of peak power. The Toyota GT86 on the other hand uses a 2.0 Litre naturally aspirated 4 cylinder unit which produces about 197 Bhp of peak power from the front positioned unit.
In this video you can clearly watch that the Racemo accelerates from standstill way quicker than that of the Toyota GT86. But the GT86 managed to overtake the Tamo Racemo towards the end of the race. This proves that while the initial acceleration of the Tamo Racemo was quicker than that of the GT86 the additional power and better top speed helped the Toyota to beat the Racemo at a later stage of the race and win the drag race.
However, do not get disappointed because the Virtual performance and the rear world performance might be a lot different in real life.
