Audi has given their performance cars RS6, RS7 and the Audi A8L further boost by upgrading their powertrain. No don’t get sad because when all other auto manufacturers are degrading their bigger engines for something smaller and more efficient, Audi has not changed the engine instead they have tweaked their existing 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged petrol unit to extract more power and torque.
Coming to the RS6 Avant which was launched recently in India, this car now also gets the tweaked 4.0 Litre TFSI unit which now produces about 605 Hp of peak power and 700 Nm of torque which is actually 44 Bhp more than the existing variant. It also gets a special overboost function as well which allows the person driving the car to extract upto 750 Nm of torque. Performance wise the RS6 Avant with the power boost has actually become 0.2 seconds quicker and now it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark in just 3.7 seconds, the same car can touch the 200 km/h mark from standstill in 12.1 seconds. Although the power output has increased but the V8 Bitturbo unit actually returns impressive fuel efficiency at the same time.
Just like the RS6 the RS7 is also powered by the same drivetrain and it also returns the same amount of power and torque output. Both the RS6 and the RS7 topspeed have also increased from 250 to 280 km/h mark.
The Audi A8L on the other hand is powered by the 4.0 Litre unit which now produces about 450bhp of peak power at 5,100 rpm which is 15bhp more than earlier while the torque amount stands at 601Nm at 1500 rpm.
This new and improved drivetrain has also been paired to an updated eight-speed tiptronic gearbox; the driver can choose from different driving modes or take control of the gear manually. All those power is then transferred to all the four wheels via the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.
Last month, Audi revealed the next generation of the 2016 A4. They have now published live pictures of the station wagon variant, the A4 Avant.
The 2016 A4 gets a new exterior and interior along with new engines. The new design of the A4 is more evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. Audi has just modified the design on the previous generation A4. So, overall the car looks fresh but similar to the outgoing model.
Even though there aren’t any major changes to the exterior design, Audi claim a drag coefficient of 0.23. The next generation Audi A4 is based on the MLB platform. Hence the car is longer in the overall length and wheelbase. This has also increased legroom at the rear. Audi claims that the use of lightweight materials has reduced the weight of the A4 by 120 kgs. All these contribute to a 21 percent increase in fuel efficiency.
The equipment list includes optional Matrix LED headlights with Dynamic Turn Signals and LED tail lights. The instrument cluster will now get a 12.3 inch LCD display and the Virtual Cockpit which was seen on the Audi TT.
The new generation engines that the 2016 Audi A4 will get are a four cylinder TFSI petrol, a four cylinder TDI diesel and a 3.0 litre V6 TDI diesel that produces 272 HP. The Audi S4 and the Audi RS4 are still under development. Transmission options will include a 7-speed DSG gearbox or an 8-speed Triptronic gearbox.
After launching the RS6 Avant in India, Audi is planning to release more Avant vehicles in the country. The manufacturer is expected to launch the 2016 A4 in India early next year. They will continue assembling the sedan from CKD kits.

The changes includes a fully blacked out B -pillar which helps give the exterior more premium feel while the Enjoy also gets the chrome garnish on top of the rear license plate now which actually comes as a standard feature. The rest of the exterior styling is defined by the signature golden bowtie toward the front, while the three dimensional grille has been also finished in chrome. The leaf styled foglamps and the chrome meshed air dam completes the overall look of the front. Towards the rear the Swoosh styled jewel effect taillamps finishes the overall styling of the MPV.

Renault launched their own version of MPV in the form of Lodgy couple of months ago and although it may not provide you with all the luxurious features that some of its other rivals might promise to offer inside but when it comes to space I am sure no one comes anywhere near the Lodgy MPV.
Recently Renault introduced another variant of Lodgy called Stepway which was revealed for the first time at the 2015 Star Guild Award ceremony. Although this is the same car but it does get plenty of cosmetic upgrades on its exterior which helps to set it apart from the standard Lodgy. Talking about the exterior upgrades the Lodgy Stepway gets a revised front grille which comes with Chrome finish to it while the front bumpers too has been restyled and it also gets skid plates which definitely gives this MPV a hardcore character, the skid plates also gets some satin chrome finish to them. While step towards the side profile and you will also find that the side profile gets Black plastic claddings. You also find the Stepway badges towards the front doors which also helps to distinguish the MPV easily from the regular variant.
The Stepway variant also gets roof rails which are finished in Silver color. The changes that are made to the Stepway variant are mosty towards its exterior while the interior of this variant is identical to what you will find inside the RX7 variant. So basically the Stepway variant gets electrically adjustable ORVMs, toucdhscreen infotainments system which also comes with built in navigation system, steering wheel mounted controls, reverse parking sensors with rear view camera.
Quite honestly I was truly surprised when I heard that Audi has decided to launch the RS6 Avant a high performance station wagon in the Indian market. I personally have no idea why the German auto manufacturer actually decided to launch this not so practical car for the Indian market. For those who oppose against my thought tell me how many of you really would think of going to pick your children from school or even pick up shopping bags in a 560 Hp station wagon?
Yes! You read that right the Audi RS6 Avant is powered by a 4.0 Litre V8 unit which gtenerates a massive amount of power and torque and mated to an eight speed tiptronic transmission which sends power to all the 4 wheels. This engine is actually capable of propelling this huge station Wagon from 0-100 km/h mark in just 3.9 seconds while this also has a top speed of 309km/h mark. Not Impressed yet? Honda India has rolled up their sleeves and is all set to launch their new MPV Mobilio in the Indian market by the end of July 2014. Recently they have released a video trailer of their new MPV in which you can notice Comedian and Bollywood host Kapil Sharma is describing all the features of the Mobilio in his own unique and funny way.
In this Video Mr. Sharma describes that the Mobilio will be a fuel efficient MPV which will return and amazing fuel economy, it has a spacious cabin and can easily carry 7 adults inside. Mobilio even has enough leg space and looks amazing too.
We definitely agree with Mr. Sharma here the Mobilio MPV indeed looks attractive and because of Honda’s intelligent design it has enough space on the inside and can easily accommodates 7 persons. Based on the Brio platform the Mobilio shares lot of components from the Brio hatch (take the dashboard for example) but there is no doubt about the interior quality and components provided by Honda, and all of them definitely looks premium like what you will find in any other Honda product.
Although we are not yet sure of the exact official specs and figures of the Mobilio yet but we can certainly tell you that this will definitely give a tough competition to its rival Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

News from BMW. CAR Magazine has dug up some interesting information about the next generation BMW 5-Series. Dubbed the G30 by insiders, the new BMW 5-Series will use some unconventional engines and will also spawn a new M5 super saloon. If recent reports are true, then the next M5 could be powered by a 600 horsepower engine and still be "planet-friendly".
The new 5-Series will spawn a wide array of body styles including a long-wheel base limousine, a Gran Tursismo version and a touring/estate model. Yes, the GT will be back and lets hope this time the designers get it right. Apart from the aesthetic upgrade, the new 5’er will be lighter than before and of course more efficient.
BMW will also offer all-wheel drive versions of the 5-Series apart from the standard rear-wheel drive setup. The xDrive models are more popular with the average buyer of the 5-Series Touring.
Big news or shall we say unconfirmed report about the next generation M5 is that, the car will use aluminium and carbon fiber to cut weight and will be powered by a 600 horsepower engine. A self-driving mode will also make its debut on the new 5-Series. So if you don’t fancy driving your BMW, which is rare if you own one, it would drive itself, apparently.

The Indigo Marina was powered by a 1.4-litre diesel engine which generated 62 bhp of maximum power at 4500 rpm and 12.5 kgm of torque at 2500 rpm and the engine was mated with a 5 speed gearbox, the engine is a good performer. Let’s get to find out some more details about this vehicle.
This might just well be only for the European countries butSkoda will be launching an Estate Outdoor version of the Superb with 4WD. This version of the Superb is primarily aimed at the Scandinavian countries but will be sold in the UK as well. The chances for it to come into India are extremely bleak since the pricing will put it into the segment of the likes of the BMW 3-series. Though the concept of an estate is a practical one for our market but paying extra for 4WD in a car wouldn’t go down well with Indian customers. In the international market the Superb Estate Outdoor competes with the Volvo XC70, Volkswagen Passat Alltrack and Subaru Forester.
This Mercedes design is a definite hit. The manufacturer has unveiled an all-new model of the CLS Shooting Brake. The CLS four-door coupe segment was created back in 2004 which gave birth to the likes of the Audi A7 and the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. The Shooting Brake combines the practicality of an estate with the style of a coupe. The swoopy estate is set to go on sale in the UK from November and a possible India launch could be in 2013. Developed under the codename X219, internationally it will be positioned above the E-class estate. According to Mercedes this five-door coupe-estate is a representation of a "sports car with five seats and a tailgate". The CLS Shooting Brake is slightly longer and wider than the E-Class estate and features lots of aluminium to help keep it light.
