Workplace safety is a big concern for all the automobile manufacturer companies, and Toyota Kirloskar Motors seems to have taken the issue pretty seriously, probably that’s why they won the Golden Peacock Occupational Health and Safety award 2015. To be precise Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd.’s (Biddai) Ramnagar plant in Bangalore achieved this feat for the company.

This award is considered the benchmark for the companies regarding the issue of employee health and safety at the work place. Earlier, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has won the Golden Peacock Environment Management award in 2010, so this is just another glorious chapter added to their history.

Sapeaking about the issue, Mr. Raju B Ketkale, Senior Vice Precident (Manufacturing) of Toyota Kirloskar Motors has informed, that this achievement is an inspiration for them, which will keep them on track of improving their process and aim to deliver the best safety to the employees. He also said informed, the company will keep a keen eye to improve the standard of safety, health and work environment for their valued employees. The notable point is Toyota not only won the award for employee safety, but they also introduced the airbag safety system in their cars, which was the first such practice in Indian automobile industry, so, it can be easily said, they showed the path in passenger safety in India. Mr. Raju B Ketkale also said that, winning this award has shown that the safety measurements are integrated both in places for their employees as well as in Toyota products too, for the customers.

The Golden Peacock Awards is a benchmark in industrial sector as well as a prestigious award given in both national and international sector to the companies to inspire them to improve productivity and quality also.
