Jaguar is really making some news especially in terms of design after Ian Callum, took the responsibility on his Shoulder. Under his direction we have seen the stylish F-Type come alive and started ruling the streets from the year 2013 and now another car carrying the Jaguar logo has bagged the award of the ‘Most Beautiful Car of 2014’ at the 30th edition of Festival Automobile International in Paris.

The XE which was first showcased at the Paris Motor Show itself last year is already sold in number of markets including Europe and UK. Ian Callum himself was present at the award show and collected the prestigious award infront of the Crowd which consisted of over 600 VIP guests and more than 60 of the media. The award show began from the 28th January onward and concluded on 31st of January, the gala event was held at the Hotel des Invalides, where the XE was showcased along with 18 other concept cars including some of the popular concept cars like the Jaguar Project 7.

The XE faced tough competition this year from the Mazda MX5, the Fiat 500X and the Mercedes C Class Estate but it has won the accolade by public vote and more than 100,000 votes casted across the Country. The XE won the title with 28 percent of votes; previously it also has won the title of ’Best Production Car’ by Auto Plus magazine and the listeners of French radio station, RTL.

The Jaguar XE will make its grand entry in the Indian market by early 2016 and will take on its competition like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes Benz C Class which recently will also introduce its Diesel variant in the market and the Audi A4. Until now Jaguar only sold high end sedans like the XF and the XJ which were priced well above the reach of many but now with their entry level sedan they are giving everyone an opportunity to get their hands and experience the Jaguar premium sedan.

The XE sedan definitely borrows some of its design elements from the sportier F-Type which has actually worked wonders for this sedan. It consists of the sporty stance and the attractive sloping roofline and the aggressive looking front, this new XE sedan will also get newly developed engines which ranges between 2-litre and 4-cylinder units. However for the adrenaline junkies the XR will also get a 3.0-litre V6 unit with turbochargers borrowed from the F-Type.
