More Powerful 300 Ps Petrol Engine To Power The XE, XF and F-Pace Models

The reason why we are interested in this particular news is that all the three models which include the XE, XF and F-Pace are for sale in the Indian market. The good news is that Jaguar has decided to introduce a new 2.0 Litre four-cylinder turbocharged powerplant which will be capable of producing g about 300 Ps of peak power and an equally impressive 400 Nm of peak torque. This state of the art powerplant not only enhances the performance if the Jaguar models but is fuel efficient and low on emission at the same time. Now there is a fair chance of Jaguar introducing this petrol engine in India with all the three models.
The engine is paired to Jaguar Land Rover’s advanced ZF eight-speed automatic transmission which promises to provide butter smooth gearshifts along with outstanding performance. The engine is even available with both front as well as rear wheel drive option for the XE and the XF models. However, Jaguar is also giving the customers an opportunity to choose an all wheel drive transmission option as well.
Jaguar has given us a performance figure of what this engine is capable of doing under the hood of the all these above-mentioned cars.
JAGUAR XE PERFORMANCE FIGURES
With the new 2.0 Litre four cylinder petrol engine under the hood, the XE will be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark in just 5.5 seconds while it will take just 5.2 seconds to achieve the feat in the all wheel drive variant.
Then fuel economy figures will stand at 6.9 l/100km while the CO2 emission stands at 157g/km ensuring that the engine is eco-friendly at the same time.

The Jaguar XF will be able to sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in just 5.8 seconds while it takes 3 seconds less (5.5 seconds) in the all wheel drive variant to achieve the same.
The fuel economy of the bigger XF saloon stands at 7.2 l/100km while the CO2 emission stands at 163g/km.
JAGUAR F-PACE PERFORMANCE FIGURES
The 300 ps and 400 Nm 2.0 Litre petrol engine is capable of pushing the big F-Pace Crossover from standstill to 100 km/h mark in just 6.0 seconds.
The petrol engine promises to return an impressive fuel economy of 7.7 l/100km which is slightly more than the XF saloon.
Besides the introduction of this new driving force, Jaguar has also introduced a 200 Ps as well as 250 PS variant of the 2.0 Litre petrol engine while a separate 2.0 Litre four-cylinder twin turbo diesel was also introduced in 2017 as well.
Besides all these some other updates made to the 2018 model year XF and XE, includes a Jaguar’s Configurable Dynamics technology which guides the driver to customise the automatic gearbox, throttle and steering settings to their personal preference. A new Forward Vehicle Guidance and Forward Traffic Detection safety feature were also introduced to the 2018 models as well.
