The Tigor is production variant of the Kite5 concept car which was showcased at the 2016 Auto expo, New Delhi. Tata Motors is calling it a fastback instead of a regular sedan because they don’t want the car just be called the Tiago hatchback with a new boot. Under the hood, the Tiago hatchback will get the same 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine which produces about 85 PS of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The diesel variant, on the other hand, gets the 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engine which produces about 70 PS of peak power at 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque between 1,800 rpm and 3,000 rpm. Both the engines paired to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. However, Tata Motors might introduce the AMT gearbox with the top end petrol variant during the time of its launch.

If we talk about interior features then the Tigor style back gets an Automatic climate control, multi function steering wheel, ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system with bigger screen, this system also gets voice command recognition.
