The Fiat Group has decided to launch Chrysler, Jeep and Alfa Romeo in the Indian market. Alfa Romeo could be the first of these brands to be launched in India and to start with it will be brought as a CBU (completely built unit).

The new brands will be sold alongside Maserati and Ferrari cars which are already present in the Indian market. At the moment we don’t know when Fiat will bring these brands into India but currently a team of senior executives are doing researches to carry out the product clinics for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. Fiat holds a major share in Chrysler since 3 years and the American brand will use the Ranjangaon plant, to assemble the completely-knocked-down (CKD) models. The Chrysler and Alfa Romeo models will go head to head with cars like Mercedes, Audi or BMW.
