we have given you enough reasons on why the Nexon will be a hit amongst Indian car buyers

Tata Motors never left a mark in the SUV market in the recent times their only product Safari was able to leave some mark, but that was nothing compared to its rivals. To increase their shares and get a better hold of the market Tata Motors introduced the Hexa Hexa Crossover which replaced its Predecessor Arya which never was a successful product.

But now the future is looking bright for Tata Motors because recently they have introduced two of their new generation products in the form of the Hexa Crossover and the Tiago hatchback. Both of these new products were well appreciated amongst the Indian buyers mostly because they bring the modern feel with their upgraded features and better quality materials and not to forget frugal yet powerful engines.

Tata Motors will be launching another new compact SUV soon which was showcased as a concept for the first time at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Nexon was spotted being tested on Indian roads many times and the launch will most probably happen later 2017 or early 2018.

We have found out why and how this upcoming SUV can be a game changer for Tata Motors and the secret behind its success formula.

The Nexon is based on the new X1 platform which also underpins the Bolt and Zest. However, the platform has been slightly modified to support the SUV. The new platform will help the rigidity of the ride and makes it a better handling machine on the road.

Styling can also be one huge pillar of success for the Nexon SUV because believe it or not the production variant of the Nexon does not look too different from the concept car either. The SUV gets Crossover like styling; dual tone interior leaves the floating roof like effect to the SUV which looks good. The front profile looks equally good with those projector headlamps and the large grille with humanity line. The sloping roofline nowadays is quite popular, and the Nexon gets it as well which actually goes well with the overall design. The roofline slopes down and meets with the integrated rear spoiler while the compact rear profile design is further highlighted by those thick C-Pillar and LED taillamps. There is no doubt that the Nexon surely will be one of the trendy looking vehicles on the road.

The almost production ready interior of the new Nexon has everything to impress its fans. The new modern looking dashboard gets dual tone design elements which go well with the overall layout. The main highlight of the dash surely will be its freestanding touchscreen display which can be seen or noticed in some high-end luxury cars like Audi and BMW will most probably available as standard. Tata Motors has also used ceramic appliqué all around the dashboard which leaves a very modern appeal. Some other bits like the steering wheel will be shared with some other Tata products.

Tata Motors wanted to make this SUV stylish and appealing, and because of that, they created this sloping roofline which might take eat some headroom inside the cabin but still there will be enough room to support an average height Indian.

While we initially thought that the Nexon will be introduced with both diesel and petrol engine option under its hood but now according to the recent reports we were informed that the Nexon SUV would initially launch with diesel engine only. The 1.5 Litre diesel unit will be available with both 6-speed manual as well as an AMT transmission during the time of its launch.

Tata Motors have newly developed the diesel engine, and it will be capable of producing in between 100-110 Bhp of peak power while the torque amount will be around 200-210 Nm. Like we already mentioned that the diesel unit would be available with a six-speed manual as standard while the top end variants will be offered with an AMT transmission as optional. Do not expect it to be offered with an all-wheel-drive option but the 1.5 Litre unit will make it stronger than the Maruti Vitara Brezza for sure.

ALL SAFETY FEATURES AS STANDARD
