We all already knew that the next generation Dzire is not far away when Suzuki showcased the new Swift at the 2016 Geneva Motor show. Afterall the Dzire since its launch back in 2008 has been one of the most popular cars in its segment. Recently Maruti has taken the covers of the all new Dzire at an event and also announced that they would be launching the new generation compact sedan on 16th May 2017. It is also quite obvious that the bookings too will start from the next month onward.
The car was caught being tested a couple of times on the Indian road, and many of you will love the fact that apart from getting a complete makeover regarding styling the compact sedan now also underpins a whole new platform. Now the Swift hatchback was unveiled in the International market, and although India being one of the most important markets for the hatchback, it will still take some time to launch here in India. 2017 Ford Figo S
Ford launched the new generation, Figo, back in 2015 which replaced the old Figo in India. Offered with a whole new platform and three drivetrain options which include two petrol and a single diesel engine option. According to the recent report, Ford Figo is all set to get a Sports edition which will most probably be termed Figo S. The new S

2017 Volvo S60 Polestar
Volvo surely is taking some big steps for the Indian market; they recently introduced their new products here including the S90, S60 Cross Country and the flagship XC90. Now the latest reports suggest that they will also be adding their performance sub-brand Polestar here as well.
For those who don’t know just like Mercedes has its AMG, BMW has their M lineup Volvo too has their performance brand Polestar which builds performance cars based on their current product list. We always loved Volvo cars for their advanced safety features, sturdy build quality and luxury features. Hyundai has updated their premium hatchback offering the i20 for the Indian market. There is no doubt that the Elite i20 hatchback attracted a lot of attention when it was launched but the sales figures dipped south when Maruti introduced the Baleno in India because it offered the better package at that price point. But Hyundai is unwilling to leave the competition yet and thus decided to updated their current premium hatchback.

Tata Tigor Vs Rivals

Honda Launched the New WR-V In West Bengal, Everything You Need To Know About The Crosshatch
Honda Cars India Limited has launched the all new WR-V in West Bengal. The WR-V is a new sports lifestyle vehicle which underpins the same Jazz platform. The WR-V also happens to be the first model which is developed by Honda R&D India along with Honda R&D Japan. The R&D i9n India has worked particularly on the design and engineering concept suitable for the right-hand drive and India based powerplants.
MR Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO Honda Cars India LTD, said at the launch event that India is one of the fast evolving markets of the world and here they have strong demands for the compact vehicles which are stylish,.comfortable and also gets premium features. He also included that the WR-V would provide everything that one looks for when they take the vehicle out for recreational usage and comfortable driving for daily use within the city.
The WR-V is developed under the concept of "Refresh For Urban India". This concept focuses on three things which include Urban Active lifestyle, smart compact exterior and pleasurable high-quality interiors. The WR-V Crosshatch is made available in two exclusive trims only the VX and the S trims. The new Crosshatch shares the same drivetrains with the Jazz hatchback. The petrol variant6 gets the 1.2 Litre SOHC i-VTEC motor which produces about 90 Ps of peak power at 6000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4, 800 rpm. The diesel variant, on the other hand, gets the tried and tested 1.5 Litre DOHC i-DTEC motor which churns out about 100 Ps of peak power at 3, 600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. The petrol variant gets the 5-speed manual a 6-speed manual paired to the diesel trim. Honda claims that they have tweaked the gearbox to extract more performance from the petrol variant.
Prices for the Honda WR-V S MT Petrol starts at INR. 8, 04, 500 while the diesel S MT trim priced at INR 9, 11, 400. The top end VX MT Petrol priced at
INR 9, 31, 900 while the top of the line diesel VX trim priced at INR 10, 35, 600.

Bollywood Actor Boman Irani Adds A New Jaguar XF To His Garage
Only recently we informed you that Jaguar started manufacturing the locally made XF for the Indian market at their Pune plant. Now, we came to know that of the famous Bollywood Actor, Boman Irani who is well known for some of his unique roles in movies like 3 Idiots and PK gifted himself a brand new XF sedan. The car keys were handed to him by none other than Mr Rohit Suri, Managing Director & President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd.
The all new locally manufactured XF is one of the most popular cars of the Jaguar lineup since its introduction in 2009. The new sedan is all about performance, technology combined with an entirely new blend of design. The new XF takes its design inspiration from their flagship sportscar F-Type. The car also gets an updated interior as well which now features an InControl Touch Pro system with the all-new 25.9 cm (10.2) touchscreen infotainment system and a Meridian Sound System.
The new XF is made available with a 2.0 Litre petrol unit and a 2.0 Litre Ingenium diesel unit. The diesel unit is capable of producing about 132 KW of peak power at 4000 rpm and 430 Nm of peak torque in between 1 750-2 500. The 2.0 Litre petrol unit, on the other hand, churns out about 177 KW of peak power at 5500 rpm and 340 Nm of torque in between 1 750-2 000 rpm. Both the engines paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. While the petrol unit promises to return around 13.12 km to a litre the diesel unit, on the other hand, returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.33 km to a litre.
Jeep To Introduce Their Entry Level Compass SUV In India This April
Jeep is all set to unveil the Indian spec Compass SUV on 12th April 2017. The Compass will be India’s first Jeep vehicle to manufacture in India at the Fiat’s facility in Ranjangaon. However, Jeep will only showcase the SUV on 12th April whereas the launch is still far away. For the International model, the new Compass will replace the existing outgoing Compass and Patriot SUVs while this new SUV will also be a major product for the Indian market as well.
The Jeep Compass SUV positioned in between the entry level Renegade and Cherokee SUV in the automaker lineup. Although the Compass SUV was spotted testing a couple of times in India the engine details are not out yet, but it will most probably get the Multijet 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine which is expected to churn out about 170hp of peak power and 350Nm of torque. The engine paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The Petrol variant of the Compass, on the other hand, will get the 1.4-litre Multiair engine which is expected to produce around 140 Hp of peak power. The Transmission options will include a 9-speed automatic, while a manual gearbox is also likely to be offered as well. The new Compass SUV will stay true to its SUV offroading genes and thus expect the top end variants will get the 4X4 system along with a low ratio and a traction management system for various terrains like sand, mud, rocks, etc.
Undisguised New-Gen Maruti Swift Dzire Spotted As Production Starts
The new generation Maruti Swift Dzire has been spied once again but this time without camouflage. The new compact sedan will be launching soon in the Indian market and according to the latest reports has already entered production at Maruti’s Manesar plant.
Expect the launch to take place in around the month of May here in India the new generation sub-4Meter sedan will be a lot different than its predecessor. There are also rumours that Maruti will even drop the Swift badge from the sedan and will only call it Dzire.
