The bookings for the fifth generation sedan have already commenced in our Country about a month ago, and finally, the car is launched here.
The sedan not only underpins a new platform but is also longer wider and has an increased wheelbase which automatically results in more interior space. What is even more interesting is also the fact that the sedan not only received cosmetic updates but mechanical updates as well.

The same S60 sedan with occasional offroading skills
We are all familiar with the Crossover hatchback and perhaps have plenty of them flooding the Indian market but the idea of a sedan based Crossover is totally new for everybody. One such manufacturer who has been known to experiment a lot has surely surprised us all when they showcased a Cross Country version of their S60 sedan at the 2015 Geneva Auto show.
Volvo introduced the Cross Country brand back in the year 1997 and the first product that came out from the brand was the V70 Cross Country, later Volvo also launched some beefed up variants of the V40, V60 and the V70 which helped Volvo expand their Cross Country lineup further. Coming to the S60 Cross Country, this four door soft roader has an increased ride height and some added lower body cladding to gives it the jacked up appearance. The S60 Cross Country even has been fitted with high profile tyres which gives this sedan a smooth ride when the terrain is not particularly friendly.
According to the Volvo officials their latest invention even has “a completely unique expression of adventure and all-road readiness in a distinctly sporty and stylish package,” Volvo already launched their V40 Cross Country in the Indian market which is a hatchback possessing a Crossover stance and although it was not able to pull the crowd like its rival the BMW X1 but still it is one worthy and capable vehicle. On the other hand the new S60 Cross Country surely has opened an entire new side in the automotive world and also will motivate other auto brands to experiment with their products and come up with some new ideas in the near future.
The S60 Cross Country will be available with both diesel and petrol drivetrains and you can find every detail once you go through the article.

We were quite excited when we saw Chevrolet unveiled the new generation Cruze and it also went on sale in some International market at the same time. Unfortunately we came to know that General Motors has no plan of introducing the new generation sedan in the Indian market this year instead they are planning to launch a facelift variant of their existing 2014 model year Cruze during the first half of 2016.
Now don’t expect too many changes on the facelift variant of the new Cruze because Chevrolet already launched the 2014 model year not so long ago and this sedan received few exterior cosmetic upgrades along with some interior changes as well. The Cruze which was introduced in the Indian market back in 2009 is definitely one popular car in its segment mainly because of its muscular styling and that powerful 2.0 Litre diesel engine which produces the maximum power and torque output in its class.
As far as the upcoming facelift Cruze is concerned we although do not have much details about the sedan at this moment but surely we can give you an idea of what you could expect from the car. We are pretty sure that the facelift Cruze won’t definitely get any changes under its hood and thus you can expect the same 2.0 Litre diesel motor to power the soon to be launched facelift model as well.

After a slew of launches over the past few months that broaden Honda’s range of vehicles, it is evident that Honda has turned from a low-laying brand into an aggressive player that is gunning for the top spot in the Indian market.
Years after staying low with a 4-model lineup that were only petrol-powered things started picking up pace when the previous City, with its cool design and punchy 1.5-liter petrol engine, garnered attention and cheques. In its time, it was one the best sedan offered under 10-Lakhs. But, with the evergrowing competition, rivals started offering better features and better powertrain whilst remaining in the sub-10 Lakh category. With the gripe that Honda didn’t offer a diesel engine nor better equipment, sales began to dive, though not significantly as it was still the most reliable petrol-powered sedan money can buy. It still wasn’t enough to take on rivals like Hyundai and Volkswagen.
After the Honda Amaze was announced with a 1.5-liter diesel engine, people went crazy about it. Who wouldn’t? It was the first Honda in India to come with a diesel engine. It was so good that in the first few weeks it amassed 30,000 bookings. But, Honda didn’t simply sit still and watch the sales figures rise. Instead they decided to focus on the one car that helped them enter Indian hearts in the first place and after much speculation, Honda has officially announced the next generation Honda City that, finally, comes with a diesel engine and some really nifty features.

The Mid-Size sporty utility segment of India may not be crowded but it surely has some worthy competitors in it take Ford for instance who is one of the major players of this game launched their Endeavour SUV almost 10 years ago in India which really became popular amongst the crowd initially because of its big brawny size, spacious and practical interiors and those powerful diesel engines under the hood. As time passed its fame and glory started to fade away, now there can actually be two major reasons behind it, the Japanese manufacturer Toyota introduced their Fortuner SUV already in this segment which also possessed almost the same characteristics that the other SUV had or with the introduction of more premium entry level vehicles from renowned manufacturers like Audi, BMW and Mercedes their customers have actually moved to a totally different segment.
After Ford saw the falling sales figures there were actually two things that Ford could have done, either they could completely let go or try to revive the Endeavour SUV which is definitely a worthy vehicle in this segment.
During August last year the Blue oval showcased an Everest Concept (Endeavour is also known as Everest in other International markets) SUV in Australia which actually indicated that their next generation Endeavour SUV will be coming soon and look exactly the same as the concept because Ford has a reputation of not messing too much with the overall styling of the concept when they turn it into a final production ready vehicle, we have seen that in time of the Ford Ecosport too.
Ford recently unveiled their production ready Endeavour and believe it or not the production variant looks exactly the same as the Everest concept which was showcased a year ago in Australia. Ford claims that their new Everest SUV seamlessly blends rugged offroad capability with exceptional ride quality and also dynamic handling, it also gets a new sculpted chiseled exterior styling along with many technological updates which makes it an all rounder. The new SUV will be launched on January 15th 2016 and it will made available with 2.2 Litre diesel as well as a powerful 3.2 Litre diesel paired either to a manual or automatic transmission.
