Pre Bookings already commenced across all Honda dealerships
Honda unveiled the facelift City in Thailand last month and now the auto manufacturer has officially confirmed that they will be launching the facelift sedan in India on 14th. Not only have they mentioned the launch date but even shared all the details along with a teaser video of what you could expect from the upcoming car. The company even commenced the pre-bookings of the new car at all the Honda Dealerships across the country. One can pay a token amount of INR. 21, 000 to book the new car.
The facelift sedan now gets a completely new face which takes its inspiration from the new generation Civic and Accord. The facelift sedan gets slightly tweaked LED headlamps along with integrated LED daytime running lamps as well. The chrome grille towards the front also looks new and like we already said takes its inspiration from the new gen Civic and Accord. Besides the new headlamps and grille the City facelift has also received a new bumper as well, the front bumper also houses fog lamps. Besides the front fog lamps the side profile also gets new Diamond cut alloy wheels(while the middle grade variants gets 15 inch alloy wheels). Towards the rear profile the sedan gets a redesigned LED taillamps along with an integrated boot spoiler which also gets LED stop lamps.

Autocar India has just reported that Honda is all set to introduce the facelift City in India on 14th February 2017. The sedan was already teased in the markets of Thailand while according to the recent report bookings for the facelift sedan has also commenced in Malaysia.
There is no doubt about the capabilities of this sedan and this also been one of the best sellers of this segment. However in the recent years the biggest threat that the City has received is from Ciaz from Maruti. The sedan even managed to outsell the City sedan in number of occasions. So in order to cope with the current competition Honda has decided to give the sedan fresh new updates.

The City facelift is all set to make its Thailand Debut today Indian launch on the cards
We already have reported earlier that Honda will be launching the City facelift in the markets of Thailand on 13th January 2017 and offcourse! The Indian launch too isn’t far away.
The City facelift was already caught undisguised but this new image reveals the front and rear profile of the sedan completely. Like we already said before the front end of the sedan now looks like that they have taken inspiration from the new generation Civic and Accord. The headlamp shape also has been slightly redesigned as well furthermore the headlamps unit now also gets integrated daytime running lamps. The new bolder looking grille runs into the headlamp area and gives the front profile a slightly more shaper look. The front bumper has also been designed and it now gets 3 air intake slots along with the fog lamps as well. The other change comes in the form of new 16 inch alloy wheels and a slightly tweaked rear bumper.
On the inside the City facelift sedan will most likely get an all new infotainment system which is compatible with both Apple car play and Android Auto system. This new touchscreen infotainment system also gets a navigation system as well. The City facelift will likely also get the all black interior as well. While for the safety of the passengers it will feature six airbags as well along with ABS and EBD.
According to the reports the Thailand spec City facelift will retain the 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine capable of producing 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox. While the other variant gets the CVT Transmission as an option.
The sedan will launch towards the month of February 2017 after its Thailand launch
Honda will be launching the City facelift in India after it launches in the market of Thailand on 12th January. The car was teased in Thailand social media couple of times but the midsize sedan was caught on the Indian soil undisguised for the very first time during a TVC shoot. Now as already reported earlier the sedan sports a design inspired from the new generation Civic and Accord.
The City facelift for the first time gets wraparound new LED headlamps, redesigned bumper and fog lamps towards the front. While towards the rear the sedan gets a LED taillamps as well. While towards the side profile it gets 16 inch diamond cut alloys. The City sedan facelift also gets an all black interior. The slightly redesigned dashboard houses a new touchscreen infotainment system which also integrates an Apple car play and Android Auto compatibility.
The City facelift will continue with the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and i-DTEC diesel engines but offcourse Honda will make some improvements. The drivetrain will be paired to the same 6 speed manual as well as 6 speed automatic transmissions.
Expect the City facelift launch to take place towards the month of February 2017 after its Thailand launch. As far as the pricing is concerned it will be priced slightly higher than the pre-facelift variants.

The new sedan is expected to launch in India on January 2017
Honda will soon be introducing the facelift City sedan in India while its rival Maruti Suzuki will also be giving slight update to the Ciaz sedan which too is considered one of the major rivals for the City sedan. Honda WR-V is a crossover based on the Jazz premium hatchback
If we see the popular recent trend in the global automotive market, the Crossover and compact SUV segment is surely running sky high. Considering the price sensitiveness of the Indian customers, the Japanese automaker decided not to launch the pricey HR-V in India. Rather the company opted to develop and launch an all new vehicle in form of Honda WR-V, which will be positioned below the premium HR-V and above the recently launched Honda BR-V.

The new facelift Rapid gets plenty of new updates both inside as well as outside

Skoda has decided to introduce a facelift variant of the Rapid in India on November 3rd. The sedan has been here in the Indian market since 2011 and until now Skoda has only given minor updates to the sedan. However according to the sources Skoda will providing some significant update to the Rapid facelift this time.
The Rapid nameplate has been used by Skoda for a long time and the current generation car first made its debut back in 2011 and shares many parts with the Volkswagen Vento subcompact sedan. Presently the car is being produced at Skoda’s manufacturing facility in Pune.

The newest Hybrid sedan with a powerful heart and a stiff pricing
The Honda Accord is a four door sedan from the Japanese manufacturer. Worldwide, the nameplate has been applied to coupe, wagon, hatchback and crossover cars as well. When it was on sale in India, it was available only in the sedan form. The car also had quite a considerable success in the United States. It was also one of the best-selling Japanese car in the U.S. for 15 years from 1982 to 1997.
In the early 1970s, Honda was in a crisis and were about to pull out of the automobile market. However, when they launched the Civic, it went on to become a success. They then decided to build a larger version of the car and it was called the Accord. Accord stands for “Honda’s desire for accord and harmony between the people, the society and the automobile”.The first accord was launched on May 7th 1976 as a 3-door hatchback and as a 4-door sedan the following year. The Honda Accord that is currently on sale is in its ninth generation now.
In India, the Accord was launched in 2001 but even though it was a good car, the sales never took off, especially for the V6 model. 13 years later, in early 2014, Honda pulled the plug on the Accord due to dwindling sales.
The Japanese manufacturer has launched the 2016 Honda Accord in Mountain View, California. This is the first time that Honda has launched a car in the Silicon Valley, the U.S. tech hub. The car will go on sale globally in August and it is also expected to be put on sale in India next year. The car comes with a host of new equipments and safety features.
Honda has decided to reintroduce the Accord in the Indian market again in the year 2016 and they though to go full hybrid this time. The is the ninth generation facelift model which not only gets sharper exterior and interior features but also gets a 2.0L Atkinson VTEC engine and also two electric motors.There are even three different drive modes as well which makes driving even more fun.

More powerful, technologically advanced and fuel efficient 5 series has just arrived

The lightweight new generation Jaguar sedan is here
The XF was first introduced in the Jaguar lineup in the year 2007 and as a replacement for the S-Type, it served well for Jaguar and also collected some impressive sales numbers, but as the competition in the premium executive mid-size luxury sedan market increased Jaguar needed to put their hands inside their magic bag and pull out a new surprise and that is what exactly they did. Jaguar introduced the new generation XF at the 2015 New York Auto Show before the live audience.
The second generation XF is much more technologically advanced than its predecessor and is also 80 Kilograms lighter than its competition. You must be wondering how this is even possible well! Jaguar has used their all new aluminium-intensive architecture which by the way is also used by XF’s sister XE sedan
The new and updated Jaguar XF surely looks gorgeous and because it uses almost 75 percent aluminium construction, the new platform and architecture has helped the structure to become more rigid and also lighter, like we already mentioned, the new XF is almost 190 KG lighter than its predecessor.

Audi will introduce the diesel variant at a later stage
Audi has launched the new A4 in India today; this is the fifth generation sedan which replaced its predecessor. Audi has decided to introduce only the 30TFSI petrol variant initially. The A4 is introduced in two trims, the premium plus grade is priced at INR 38.1 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) while the Technology grade is priced at INR. 41.20 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 30 TFSI unit gets the 1.4 Litre, 4 cylinder petrol mill under its hood. This engine is capable of producing about 148 Bhp of peak power 250 NM of torque. This particular engine is paired to a 7 speed S tronic gearbox which comes as standard. Although there is no diesel engine offered under the hood as of now but Audi will introduce the 2.0 Liter TDI diesel unit at a later stage.
The new generation A4 underpins MLB architecture which has helped in shedding plenty of weight and a s a result the new sedan is actually lighter by almost 120 Kilograms than its predecessor. The overall length of the sedan has also increased by almost 25 mm while the wheelbase also increased by 12 mm, what else is also impressive is the fact that the new A4 is also wider by 16 mm. All the change in the overall dimension also means that the sedan now gets more interior room.
