A sophisticated yet powereful car which can give Ferrari and Lamborghini some serious competition
Mclaren inevitably attracted a lot of crowd at the 2017 Geneva Motor show when they unveiled the second generation Super Series. The 720S which was unveiled at the show will replace the 650S and will sit below the P1. The car was codenamed P14 and is not only a price of art but also is practical and performance oriented at the same time. I mean look at the front or the rear profile of the 720S, this thing looks serene from every possible angle, but this also is Mclaren’s stunning new interpretation of design language and their dedication towards aerodynamic principles.
This car has a whole new design and everything looks nothing exactly like what we are used to seeing in a Mclaren. The headlight design towards the front is all new one and will perhaps slightly remind you of the Mclaren logo, the headlamp unit, in particular, is an adaptive LED light unit which gets carbon fibre surround. The lower portion of the headlamp unit has a duct for cooling. The lower front profile has an air duct which channels all the cool air from the lower portion of the car towards the side profile. Walk towards the side profile and these big air intakes surely looks purposeful there is another air cooling duct positioned towards the lower portion of the car. The first thing which will draw your attention towards the rear profile of the car Is the new Aerowing which helps in braking as well as creating downforce in normal driving conditions. The slash cut shaped exhaust system looks almost identical to the 675 LT exhaust, but this one is lighter. The new car uses Carbon fibre chassis based on Monocage II and is 40 kilograms lighter than its predecessor. The Mclaren 720S weighs 1,283kg.
The spider variant of the 675 LT is equally exciting
Mclraen first showcased the 675 LT at the 85th International Geneva Motor Show for the first time and it was one of the crowd’s hot favorite. Mclaren will be building only 500 units of these one of a kind sportscar and the special focus has been given to make it lightweight.
In this video you can watch the twin brother of the Mclaren 675 LT in its spider body form being driven on the track by Bruno Senna. According to him the lightweight nature of the car definitely helps it to be absolutely fluid on the race track. You can watch as the car is thrown to its limit in the race track. Just like the Coupe variant the 675 LT spider is also powered by the M838TL engine, but this particular engine’s components has been changed and reworked. This engine is now capable of producing about 675 Ps of peak power and 700 NM of torque. All that power is transmitted to the rear wheel via the help of 7 speed SSG transmission. With the heldp of reduced weight the car can sprint from 0-100km/h mark in just 2.9 seconds, the car can also hit a top speed of 329 km/h mark.
Bruno Senna who is driving this car, explains that there is hardly any difference between the Coupe and spider variant and he has driven both the cars. He also explains the best thing about the 675 LT is that that it can be driven in a comfortable way and can also be pushed to its limits and the 675 LT Spider is comfortable in both the modes.
Is touted as the most practical model ever made by McLaren
Mclaren Automotive has debuted the 570GT its newest addition to the Sports Series in Geneva. The supercar is essentially a 570S with more emphasis paid to everyday usability and comfort over long distances. The car is priced in the UK from £154,000 (INR 1,45,98,105) onwards.
At first glance the 570GT does not seem to differ much from its sibling the 570S, and that is probably due to the fact that it has the same front end. The similarities begin to fade away as the view progresses from the sides to the rear. The standard fixed panoramic sunroof and the side-opening rear hatch being the highlights. The leather-lined Touring Deck behind the seats can hold an additional 220 litres of luggage. This space can be accessed through the rear glass hatch and when combined with the 150 litres of luggage space upfront gives a total storage capacity of 370 litres. The posterior also comes with an extended fixed spoiler, with McLaren claiming that it gives the same aerodynamic performance as that generated by the flying buttresses of the 570S.
McLaren says that the 570GT has been equipped with the “latest technologies and highest quality materials”. They have equipped the supercar with extended leather upholstery, electrically adjustable heated seats with memory function, electric steering column, soft-close doors, subdued exhaust system and, front and rear parking sensors as standard fitment. Noise damping and absorbing materials have also been employed extensively to improve the refinements level inside the cabin. An 8-speaker McLaren Audio Plus system is fitted as standard but for those who want more, there is an optional Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker audio system.
The new sports coupe looks absolute stunner
McLaren has unveiled the sports coupe 570GT at the Geneva Motor Show, which looks an absolutely stunning car. Based on the 570S this Sports series car is an extremely fast coupe which can also act like a daily drive car apart from the track.
Drawing power from a 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine mated to a seven speed dual clutch SSG transmission this car produces 562 hp peak power and 600 Nm peak torque. McLaren 570 GT can reach 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 204 kmph. This car will directly compete against Porsche 911 Turbo and Ferrari California T.

McLaren is undoubtedly the next big name after Ferrari in the Formula-1 racing circuits. The British company started making race cars way before they started making road cars. After a disappointing 2014 and 2014 seasons McLaren brought an all new car in form of McLaren Honda MP4-30; equipped with a more improved chassis and powered by Honda RA615H hybrid powertrain.
This car marks a significant partnership between the McLaren and Honda. We all know, in between 1988 and 1991 McLaren powered by a Honda engine won four world championships consistently. This was the time when McLaren had the iconic driver in their team; Ayrton Senna, arguably the best Formula-1 driver of all time in history.
In 1992 the partnership broke and McLaren took the help from Ford and Peugeot to power their cars. After two seasons with them, McLaren turned to Mercedes, and the British-German partnership lasted for two decades. In 2015 after making partnership again with Honda McLaren hoped to win another world championship after 16 years, although that didn’t happen. However, the McLaren Honda MP4-30 signifies a few bit things. This is their first model after reconciliation and it gets power from Honda’s first Formula-1 engine since 2005. This single seater beast with refined aerodynamics, new nose box and a completely new Honda hybrid powertrain will make it to the floors of upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo. Well, now we have plenty of reasons to be cheered up. Yes, Honda will showcase the Formula-1 car at their stall and that will definitely become the showstopper.

The McLaren 675 LT is a track focussed supercar from the British manufacturer. The car, based on the McLaren 650 S, is available only as a coupe and only 500 will be ever produced.
The 675 LT features a carbon fibre bodywork for weight reduction. The supercar weighs a 100 kgs less than the standard 650S. It is powered by a re-engineered version of the company’s M838TL V8 engine that’s twin-turbocharged. It now produces 666 HP and 700 Nm, which is 25 HP and 22 Nm more than the 650 S. It is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox that now responds twice as fast. The car also features upgraded suspension, carbon ceramic brakes and Pirelli P-Zero tyres.

When it comes to fast cars you definitely are aware of the two names Lamborghini and Mclaren that also stays on top of the preference lists of auto enthusiast or car lovers. In this video you can watch the Huracan and the 650 S battle it out on a wet track.
Now when it comes to these cars both Lamborghini and Mclaren added the Huracan and the 650S to their stable recently and both these sportscars has got plenty of time to prove how good they are on track as well as on road. We knew that this was coming, the Sports Series and the most affordable car from Mclaren. Finally they revealed the car at the 2015, New York Auto Show and christened it as the 570S. As a result of that reduced overall weight the Coupe is extremely agile and also fuel efficient at the same time. When we talked about fuel efficiency we should definitely talk about its heart so the new 570S Coupe is powered by a 3.8 Litre Turbo charged engine which has been revised heavily, this unit is capable of producing about 570 Ps of peak power and an impressive 600 Nm of torque. So what you can actually do with all that power? Mclaren 570S Coupe can sprint from 0-100km/h mark in 3.2 seconds while it can touch top speed of 324 km/h mark.
Mclaren unveiled their newest offering in the market called the 570S at the2015, New York Auto Show recently. Talking about power let me inform you that this mid engine Coupe is extremely powerful and uses a M838TE twin turbo V8 engine which produces an impressive amount of power and torque, the performance figures are equally interesting though. Here is some good news just before the start of the 2015 New York Auto Show, the British Supercar manufacturer Mclaren who still has not set foot on the Indian market yet is planning to launch their newest supercar at the Auto Show.
But here is the best part Bloomberg already has some fresh new images of the latest supercar which will join the big boy’s league soon. We have to admit that this new car which is christened the 570S looks mind-blowing! The 570S will also be the manufacturers cheapest offering for the market and expected price range will start from an estimated $180,000. Just like some other Mclaren offerings the 570S is also a mid engine rear wheel drive Coupe which is powered by a powerful V8 unit and this unit is expected to produce about 562hp of peak power which will help the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in just 3.2 seconds unbelievably! This is even quicker than the Porsche 911 S.
The Mclaren 570S will have to face challenges from the recently introduced next generation Audi R8 and as already mentioned above the Porsche 911 Turbo. Styling wise the new offering from the 52 year old auto manufacturer is filled with curves, though what is worth mentioning is the fact that it has been built entirely on carbon fiber chassis and weighs only about 1270.06 Kilograms.

In this video you can watch Chris Goodwin who happens to be the chief Test driver for Mclaren explains every single detail to Andrew before the door gets shut and he has to control the 986 Bhp beast all by himself on track. The Mclaren P1 GTR pushes things to a whole new limit, this car will only be made available to the Mclaren P1 owners and the production of this track focused car will only begin when Mclaren completes the production process of the 375th standard P1 car.
This P1 GTR surely achieved some numbers and the figures looks something like this, the P1 GTR can sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in just 2.8 seconds, it has an electronically limited top speed of about 350 km/h mark, it can reach the 300 km/h mark from standstill in just 16.5 seconds. Although Mclaren will only be building 500 units of this track focused car which has lost some serious amount of weight and as a result of that the 675LT also happens to be the lightest car in its class. The 675 LT now can sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in just 2.9 seconds which is actually a second quicker than the standard car and all that was possible because the 675LT is actually 100 Kilograms lighter than the standard 650S.
This car is meant to perform and that is also the reason why the M838TL engine which also performs its duty on the 650S Coupe and Spider has been modified to extract more power, but here is the real deal although this car is extreme still it is very much a road legal car which will be offered in the Coupe only form. The 675 LT with all the characteristics found its place in the McLaren Super Series; this extreme road legal coupe has the ability to reach the 200 km/h mark from standstill in just 7.9 seconds while it can kiss the 330 km/h mark with ease.

For quite some time now Mclaren has stopped building the MP4-12C which was one of the brilliant production cars that came out from the British Sportscar manufacturer workshop. In the meantime the P1 Hypercar came and impressed the people with its sheer power and that new and exclusive styling. Let’s just say that the 650S Spider has just evolved out of the above mentioned cars but still has its own unique character.
Unveiled at the 84th International Geneva Motor Show the 650S Spider according to Mclaren does not compromise on its performance or handling a bit still after being an open top convertible. Mechanically this car is similar to the 650S Coupe and is powered by the same McLaren M838T twin turbo V8 engine. We knew the MP4 12 C was no doubt a great car be it its handling, power figures or ride quality and believe it or not the new 650S Spider too shares the same Carbon fibre Composite chassis which was used by the 12C.
This open top convertible is fast and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds flat while it has a claimed top speed of about 329 Km/h. For stopping weather you like it or not Mclraen has fitted the car with carbon fiber ceramic disc brakes while it also comes with sticky Pirelli tyres for maximum grip. There is absolutely no way this convertible compromises on anything.

Mclaren 675 LT was unveiled at the 85th International Geneva Motor show and according to the reports it is the purest series production supercar till date. In this video you can watch Chris Goodwin who happens to be the Chief test driver of Mclaren Automotive explains all the features of the 675 LT in detail.
In this video Chris Goodwin recalls his racing days and his ride the F1 GTR LongTail which was one of the first Mclaren cars that he ever drove back in the year 1997, he raced that car and also won the race at Silverstone. The car was heavily revised to suit the needs which even included the change in shape by developing a long tail towards the rear which reflected on the aerodynamic advantage that they gained during the race which included downforce and cooling. The car was modified further which even included revised suspension, new brakes and installed ABS, new tyres etc.
Spool forward to the present day and the new 675 LT is developed on the same platform as the 650S which is already the fastest car in its class and then they have tweaked the standard car to make it more track focused and responsive. The 675 LT has been fitted with 50 percent larger airbrakes, 40 percent more downforce which is created with the air spoiler and front splitter. Mclaren also claims that almost 33 percent of the components used in the car are all new and they were able to shed 100 kilos further of the dry weight. Changes were even made to the engine components and this car now produces about 675 Ps of peak power which is obviously more than the standard car.

Mclaren will be unveiling a completely new car at the upcoming Geneva Motor show this March and we all are excited about it afterall it is coming out from the stable of one of the most established and well known Auto manufacturers of the World Mclaren. The upcoming car will be called the 675 LT and it will compete directly with the already popular Ferrari 458 Speciale.
Until now Mclaren has not yet revealed any technical details of the car. The upcoming car is expected to be more powerful and wild variant of the already popular 650 S. Now the standard car is powered by a 3.8 Litre V8 unit which produces about 641 Bhp of peak power while expect the 675 LT to produce even more power than the standard variant. The 675 LT surely will be an attention grabber just like any other Mclaren cars and will also feature ultra lightweight aluminium exhaust pipes. Mclaren will also use many lightweight materials in its construction to reduce the overall weight while it will also shed some extra weight from its interiors by removing all the so called comfort features which are usually available inside the cabin of the standard car.
This soon to be unveiled track focused 675 LT will be in equal league with the well known Ferrari FXXK and the P1 GTR. Until then we all have to wait till March to finally be able to see the car in flesh and before our very own eyes.

Beside owning other exclusive and one of kind cars his most prized possession was a Mclaren F1 which he brought back in the year 1997. We all knew about the F1 because of the two incidents involving the car the first one occurred back in the year 1999 when Mr. Atkinson hit a Rover Metro while the second major crash occurred back in 2011 when Mr. Atkinson hit a tree. The complete car was then rebuilt by Mclaren once again.
Now according to the reports Mr. Atkinson is putting up his beloved Mclaren F1 for sale and is asking a total of 8 Million Pounds for the car, the car was originally priced at 5.4 Million Pounds during the time of purchase. The Mclaren F1 is powered by a 6.1 Litre V12 unit which produces about 621 Hp of peak power 650 Nm of peak torque, The F1 can reach a top speed of 388 km/h mark and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark in just 3.2 seconds. The car is extremely lightweight and does not have any sort of driving aid which actually means driving the Mclaren F1 will be like trying to tame a raging horse who wants to through you out of its back everytime you ride it.
This got to be the most exciting and heart pounding video series for the supercar fans because recently Auto Express conducted a drag race shootout event at an open airstrip which featured some of the fastest and wildest supercars that you can imagine.
The drag race involved Mclaren 650S, Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8 V10 and a Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupe although there are few other races which were also conducted between other cars but we found these four cars the most interesting from the lot. In the first video you can watch a drag race between a rear wheel drive Mclaren 650S and a four wheel drive Lamborghini Aventador. The AVentador is powered by a 6.5 litre V12 which produces about 700 Hp of peak power while its competitor is the Mclaren 650S uses a twin turbo 3.8 Litre V8 which produces about 650 Hp of peak power.
While in the second video you can watch a Mercedes Benz S63 AMG Coupe which is powered by a 5.5 litre Bi-turbo V8 engine producing about 636 hp of peak power, the engine has been mated to a 7 speed automatic gearbox which send all the power to the rear wheel while its opponent is the Audi R8 V10 which is powered by a 5.2 litre V10 produces about 535 Hp of peak power, the engine unit is mated to a 7 speed duel clutch gearbox which sends power to all the 4 wheels.
Now the results are pretty interesting. So watch both the videos to find out who are the winners in this 1, 800 meter long drag race.
This is the ultimate battle of supercars and the two contenders that you will notice in this video are the Mclaren P1 and the Ferrari La Ferrari. Now both these hybrid supercars pack a lot of punch and are powered by both petrol and electric motor for that extra bit of boost.
The P1 weighs just 1400 Kilograms and produces about 903 Bhp of peak power which gives you an idea of how fast and extreme this car can be while the La Ferrari on the other hand weighs about 1350 Kilograms and produces even more power than the P1, 950 Bhp to be exact. If you like wicked exhaust note and all those power waiting to be unleashed with just a little push on the gas throttle then you should definitely watch this video (watch the 2:07 part of the video and you can see the brutal acceleration of the P1). Both these car not only looks good but also provides tremendous amount of grip but still you can’t really stop yourself from swinging out the rear section of the car intentionally specially in turns but that’s the real fun part of driving a sportscar right?

Now as you all know both of these hypercars are actually powered by a hybrid engine which means that you have a powerful petrol engine as well as an electric motor which actually results in an amazing power output. Both these cars are meant for race track and are extremely fast at the same time and in this video you can actually find out how fast they actually are on a real race track.
On paper the Mclaren P1 produces about 903 hp of peak power and about 1500 Nm of torque which is absolutely brilliant while on the other hand the Porsche 918 generates about 887 hp of peak power and 1275 Nm of torque which is comparatively less than the P1. Offcourse! The Porsche 918 is a heavier car than the Mclaren p1 and thus is also slower……No! Actually not because the Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 both can accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark on just 2.8 seconds while they both actually can reach speeds of above 335 km/h mark.
