Land Rover Introduces Petrol Variant Of The Range Rover Evoque
Land Rover launched the facelift Range Rover Evoque in India in December 2016 and now after a month the British auto manufacturer has introduced the petrol variant of the Evoque in India. The diesel variant which was introduced was during the time of the launch was powered by the new 2.0-litre Ingenium motor which replaced the 2.2 Litre unit.
Now the petrol variant which was introduced earlier today gets the 2.0-litre petrol mill which produces about 241 Hp of peak power. This is the same unit which powers the Discovery Sport as well. The Petrol variant of the Evoque is available only with the SE trim. The other variants which are available with the diesel unit include Pure, SE, SE Dynamic, HSE and HSE Dynamic trims.
Some other features which are available on the facelift variant of the Evoque include redesigned headlamps with xenon headlights, the headlamps unit also gets integrated LED DRLs lamps, panoramic sunroof and also17-inch alloy wheels as well towards its side profile. The rear profile on the other hand gets redesigned taillamps as well. Inside the updated Evoque features height adjustable driver seat, a completely new eight-inch InControl Touch infotainment system with navigation.
The petrol variant Range Rover Evoque rivals the likes of the new BMW X3 which also recently introduced its petrol variant.
Land Rover Launches The Range Rover Evoque In India
Land Rover launched the new and updated Range Rover Evoque in India today. The best selling model from Land Rover prices starts from INR. 49.10 lakh for the base Pure trim while the top end HSE Dynamic trim is priced at INR. 64.65 lakh.
The updated RR Evoque hasn’t received any major changes in terms of styling but instead decided to equip the SUV with more features. As a result of that the new RR Evoque gets a restyled front bumper and also a new grille. To make it looks slightly more aggressive it even features bigger air intakes as well. As far as some other exterior features are concerned it gets full LED headlamps as well. Just like the front profile the rear profile too gets an updated LED taillamps as well. Inside things looks new as well, to begin with the RR Evoque gets redesigned instrument cluster and soft touch materials. The seats too has been redesigned as well, the front seats gets massage function as well available as an option. The dashboard also gets an 8.0 inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Apart from all that some other new features includes an all terrain progress control, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Attention Assist Estimation.
Coming to the drivetrain the new Range Rover Evoque gets the 2.0 Liter Ingenium series engine which is capable of producing about 177 Hp of peak power. All that power is send to the 4 wheels of the SUV via the 9 speed automatic transmission. This drivetrain is more fuel efficient and is also lighter by almost 20 kilograms than the previous engine. Land Rover will also introduce a petrol engine as well from January 2017 onward.
2017 Land Rover Discovery
Land Rover recently gave us a preview of their upcoming new generation Discovery with a teaser image of its front profile. The new Discovery will debut at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show which will be held towards the end of the month of September.
This mid-sized SUV from Land Rover is one of the prestigious models from the British car maker which has been in the market since 1989. The upcoming Discovery which will grace the product lineup will be their third generation vehicle. The new generation model front profile has only been revealed which clearly shows that the new SUV has gotten over its boxy design and now has adopted a more modern design cues from the new generation LR vehicle family.
The Discover Sport will most probably use the same lightweight monocoque platform which is also used by the RR and the RR Sport. This new platform will help reduce plenty of weight which will help its overall performance. Expect this new Discovery to be more practical while it will also get a new powertrains under its hood.

2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Land Rover surely impressed all of us when they introduced the Range Rover Sport back in 2005 which was then followed by the second generation model in 2013. They have done all kind of experiments with this model which was actually possible. Land Rover even introduced a high performance variant of the SUV as well which can actually accelerate from 0-100 km/h mark in just 4.6 seconds. 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Ember Limited Edition
The Range Rover Evoque Crossover made its first appearance back in the year 2011 and since its launch the Evoque carried a reputation of being the perfect Crossover for those urban SUV owners who drives their vehicle mostly within the city limits and also looks for an improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. Land Rover Discovery Sport, Defender & India Bound Jaguar XE Honoured With Scottish Car of the Year Awards
Jaguar XE, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Land Rover Defender are three best selling vehicles from British luxury auto maker Jaguar Land Rover. All these three vehicles won awards at the prestigious “Scottish Car of the Year Awards” ceremony.
The India bound luxury sedan XE from Jaguar won the “Best Executive Car” awards, while it also won the “Best Design and Innovation” awards at the same event back in 2014. Commenting about the vehicle Alisdair Suttie, the President of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers, has said, "With its fine lines penned by Scotsman Ian Callum, the Jaguar XE is as good looking as executive saloons come. It has abilities to match its looks, with first rate ride, refinement, driving dynamics and efficiency." The new Jaguar XE will be showcased at the upcoming 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo by the British marquee. Once launched, it will be the cheapest offering from Jaguar in India, and it will compete against the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes Benz C-Class and the Volvo S60. The Jaguar XE is built on an all new lightweight aluminium intensive monocoque body frame. Under the hood it gets a 3.0 litre 6 cylinder all aluminum Twin-Vortex supercharger engine, paired with a ZF 8HP45 8 speed automatic gearbox, capable to churn out 344 PS peak power and 450 Nm peak torque. The XE can reach 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 kmph.
We never thought this will happen but finally but we are getting a Convertible and that also from Land Rover. Land Rover officially announced that they will be launching the Range Rover Evoque Convertible in the year 2016 in the international market.
The Convertible concept was first showcased at the 2012, Geneva Auto show and since then we have all eagerly waited for its unveiling. The Convertible has been built alongside the five door and the coupe variants at Land Rover’s Halewood plant. The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is actually based on the same facelifted Evoque which Land Rover showcased recently and it features a completely new LED headlight designs and refreshed engine lineup.
Now it will be interesting to find out that after slashing off the roof of the standard Evoque SUV has it lost its identity or whether it still has any capability of sitting proudly in the Land Rover lineup which has a reputation of building some of the hardcore offroadiing vehicles of the world.

Land Rover started their unique promotional campaign for the upcoming Range Rover Evoque convertible already. The British auto manufacturer has placed full sized ‘wireframe’ sculptures of their upcoming car Evoque Convertible at some of the iconic streets of London.
The Bespoke structures were placed before some of the iconic London locations which includes Harrods department store on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge and in notable Mayfair addresses. These particular wiresframe sculptures were designed by Land Rover’s very own Design team using advanced computer modeling to actually accurately create the shape of their upcoming Evoque convertible.
Land Rover created a total of six wire frames structures which were then positioned at different places which will give people a chance to actually see and get an idea of how this car will look in its natural environment. These 1:1 structures also have 3D wheels and even front and rear seats. These wireframes will also begin global tour to attract attention of people until Land Rover introduced the Evoque Convertible in November.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, said: "The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is perfectly suited to the urban surroundings of a city like London and it’s the perfect place to showcase the world’s first luxury compact SUV convertible. The locations chosen reflect the refined and luxurious lifestyle of an Evoque Convertible customer - two attributes this vehicle delivers in abundance."
Land Rover revealed a new Discovery Sport, which comes in dynamic design and better performance. The British luxury automobile manufacturer revealed the vehicle at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. This new car comes named as Discovery Dynamic Sports.
The new premium luxury compact SUV comes with unique design, and stylish details and colour, which make this car distinguishing from the standard model. Beside the enhanced visual appeal, this car comes equipped with features like All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), Gesture Tailgate. The new Discovery Sport Dynamic features a number of exterior enhancements. These features include Narvik Black exterior details, body coloured mouldings and door claddings which makes this car even more muscular. The customers get a choice of an unique new 19 inch wheel design which comes in Satin Dark Grey, or a 20 inch Gloss Black wheel. The interior of the car comes in new impressive colours and detailing, the new Dynamic design option creates a powerful and striking impression.
Apart from luxury Land Rover vehicles are known for their sheer off roading capability. The off roading capability of the Discovery Sport Dynamic is heightened by the introduction of All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) for 2016. ATPC is an advanced system which enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed during off road driving. Developed by the Land Rover’s all terrain specialists, ATPC functions similarly to a cruise control system, and it is operational between 2 kmph and 30 kmph. The ATPC system adapts the vehicle’s behaviour according to the terrain, allowing even the novice users the control of an expert off road driver. ATPC also sports a dedicated Launch feature, which allows the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on critically low friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass.

A luxurious and premium compact SUV from Land Rover was totally unexpected but perhaps these legendary SUV makers has planned to launch a product which will perhaps be more practical and which separates the compact SUV’s from the bigger Land Rover SUV’s. It was secret project for a very long time but finally Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, Gerry McGovern, made it official at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, that the new product will be called the Discovery Sport and it will go on sale from the year 2015 onward. He also included that this will be their first product which will carry some of the features of the Discovery Vision Concept unveiled at the New York Auto Show.
There were many speculations about how this new SUV will look like and how will it differ from the already existing Discovery family. Remember it is also the replacement of the Freelander so it have to be better than the existing vehicle, with the new Discovery Sport Land Rover will target new types of buyers who loves to own a stylish, compact and premium luxury SUV. Few days earlier Land Rover released some official images of the Discovery Sport being tested with a creative camouflage which clearly revealed its 5+2 seating configuration.
Recently Land Rover released yet another video in which the cabin and some of the other interior details are highlighted and from just a small glimpse it is clear that Land Rover has done a fantastic job with the new cabin. Now that Land Rover has finally released official images of Discovery Sport inspired from the Discover Sport Vision concept, we can certainly say that this new vehicle looks like nothing else. Remember this is a compact SUV but comes with 5+2 seating options and also keeping the heritage in mind this SUV definitely has the Land Rover’s DNA of being a capable offroader too. Update 02/09/15: Land Rover launched the Discovery sport in India today with prices starting at INR. 46.5 Lakhs (ex showroom Mumbai). The Discover Sport will be replacing the existing Freelander in India.

One year after it was launched internationally, the Land Rover Discovery Sport has been launched in India.
It comes equipped with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multiple USB ports, a 16 speaker Meridian audio system, panoramic sunroof and leather upholstery. It also gets dual-zone climate control, LED day-time running lights, cruise control, tyre pressure monitor, ambient lighting and park assist. The car can seat a maximum of 7 people. It has an optional 5+2 layout.
The SUV, which is based on the Range Rover Evoque, is powered by a 2.2 litre diesel engine available is two states of tune. The TD4 variant produces 148 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque while SD4 produces 188 bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed ZF automatic transmission. To aid off-roading, the car comes with Haldex All-Wheel Drive system and Land Rover’s Terrain Response System.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport replaces the Freelander 2 in the British manufacturers line-up. The car will be sold as a CKD and they will be assembled at Land Rover’s plant in Pune. The car will compete against the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Volvo XC60.
Prices for the 2016 Discovery Sport are given below. All prices are in Indian rupees (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
An year after the Discovery Sport went on sale globally, Land Rover is finally launching the SUV in India. The launch is expected to take place on the 2nd of September. This comes a month after the car was spotted testing on Indian roads. Dealers have also started takings bookings of the vehicle. Land Rover recently started assembling the car at its factory in Pune.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a new compact SUV from the British manufacturer that takes its design cues from the Range Rover Evoque. The car gets features like self parking, pedestrian airbag, ambient lighting, 8-inch touchscreen system, panoramic sunroof and dual zone climate control. The car can seat 7 people.
The new SUV will come with a choice of 2 engine options. The petrol is a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine producing 250 PS while the diesel is a 2.2 litre engine producing 180 PS. Both engines will be paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels.
The car will replace the Freelander 2 in the company’s line-up and will take on the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE. Expect the SUV to be priced around INR 50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
