This is actually the very first time that the two are interviewed together. They both talk about their design school (College of Art) from where they actually learnt the art of designing cars. They both share their experience of how it all started and how things work for them. They also talk about their future plans and what we could actually expect from both these auto manufacturers in the near future.
Mr. Ian Callum also adds that the whole car industry will actually see a lot of change in the next 15 to 20 years and they will need lot of creative ideas to make the change happen. The best part is towards the end where they both talk about each other’s latest creation and in order to know what you will actually have to watch the video.
The automobile sector around the globe is going through constant changes. New technologies, and new designs, new ideas are making their own space into the industry. Land Rover Discovery has been one of the most iconic and popular models of all time from Solihull. Land Rover has always been the pioneers in implementing new technologies and ideas to the automotive sector since they started their operation. As so many global operators are bringing luxury SUVs to the automotive arena, Land Rover’s once unmatched reign has come in front of question. Now that the brand is trying to improve their upcoming vehicles, the next generation cars will come equipped with new design philosophy, new technologies and new ideas of course.
Land Rover has already showcased the new concept of future Discovery vehicles in form of Discovery Vision concept. Before the New York Auto Show last year, they uncovered the concept car, which brings an idea to the roadmap of their future vehicles too. Although present generations of Land Rover vehicles come with various unique technologies and equipments to make the car sheer attractive, but Land Rover claims, their upcoming generation cars will be much more advanced than the present generation.
Here, today we brought you a detailed review of the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept car.
Land Rover revealed a new Discovery Sport, which comes in dynamic design and better performance. The British luxury automobile manufacturer revealed the vehicle at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. This new car comes named as Discovery Dynamic Sports.
The new premium luxury compact SUV comes with unique design, and stylish details and colour, which make this car distinguishing from the standard model. Beside the enhanced visual appeal, this car comes equipped with features like All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), Gesture Tailgate. The new Discovery Sport Dynamic features a number of exterior enhancements. These features include Narvik Black exterior details, body coloured mouldings and door claddings which makes this car even more muscular. The customers get a choice of an unique new 19 inch wheel design which comes in Satin Dark Grey, or a 20 inch Gloss Black wheel. The interior of the car comes in new impressive colours and detailing, the new Dynamic design option creates a powerful and striking impression.
Apart from luxury Land Rover vehicles are known for their sheer off roading capability. The off roading capability of the Discovery Sport Dynamic is heightened by the introduction of All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) for 2016. ATPC is an advanced system which enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed during off road driving. Developed by the Land Rover’s all terrain specialists, ATPC functions similarly to a cruise control system, and it is operational between 2 kmph and 30 kmph. The ATPC system adapts the vehicle’s behaviour according to the terrain, allowing even the novice users the control of an expert off road driver. ATPC also sports a dedicated Launch feature, which allows the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on critically low friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass.
Talk about any Land Rover vehicle, they draw quite some attention wherever they go. Specifically, if we talk about the Range Rovers, they come first in the line. Automatically, these persons become the prime target from various hazardous organizations and individuals. Therefore comes the need of better safety and security. This is the exact point from where Land Rover began making the Range Rover Sentinel, fully armored luxury SUV.
This car better called a fortress than an armored car. Covered with rigorous armored plating, this car can easily withstand highly powerful explosives, armored piercing bullets, hand grenades. The British luxury SUV manufacturer just revealed this car which is made by their Special Vehicle Operations segment. Sentinel is all set to make its global debut at the Defence and Security Equipment International Exhibition which will take place at London’s ExCeL arena from 15th to 18th September 2015.

Land Rover will bring a special concept SUV to this year’s New York Auto Show. It is called the Discovery Vision Concept and is to be the basis for the replacement Discovery model. That said, Land Rover also has plans to replace the Freelander which sits right at the bottom of their portfolio.
The British marque has now revealed that the next Freelander will actually be called Discovery Sport. The official announcement will be made during the show but word is out that a new Discovery family is in the making. This also means that like the Range Rover family, the next Discovery will spawn another model which could be offered at a slightly lower price point and with a different character. The future Discovery family will be made up of four different variants including a seven-seat, five-seat and four-seat version.
Land Rover will also debut an innovative Transparent Bonnet Headup display at the NY auto show. The system is an application of HUD technology which incorporates live camera feeds to give the impression of a transparent or see-through bonnet.
