Lamborghini Launched the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder Priced At INR. 3.89 Crore

Lamborghini Launched the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder Priced At INR. 3.89 Crore

The Huracan gets a soft fabric top and the same aggressive nature

Lamborghini today launched the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder in India. This exclusive four wheel drive Huracan comes with a soft top is priced at INR. 3.89 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder was unveiled infront of public for the first time at the 2015, Frankfurt motor show and is the third Huracan variant, the other two variants being the Huracn Coupe and the RWD LP580-2 which are also available for sale in the Indian market already.

Talk about styling the new Huracn Spyder takes its styling cues from the Huracn LP610-4 coupe, the only difference is the Spyder gets a soft fabric top instead of a full hard roof as seen on the coupe and rear wheel drive variants. Inside the cabin the Huracan Spyder has a driver focused cockpit and comes wrapped with Alcantara and carbon fiber trim. Towards the bottom of the steering wheel just like the other variants has the switch for different driving modes.

The fabric roof top takes exactly 17 seconds to open or close and it can be operated upto speeds of 50 km/h mark with just a press of a button. The Spyder variant of the Huracan is actually 120 kilograms heavier than that of the coupe which is because of the additional weight of the fabric roof as well as the motor which helps it to open or close. However if you think that the added weight has taken its toll on performance of this machine which has been built for speed then you are wrong.

2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder

2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder

The Coupe even looks wilder without its roof

After almost a year Lamborghini launched the Huracan LP610-4 they introduced the Spyder variant as well at the 2015 Geneva Motor show. The Huracan was brought to replace the iconic Gallardo and thus its successor had a humongous task to live up to its predecessors name and thanks to the brilliant engineering package, it was. The car was so good that it was even faster than its bigger and more powerful brother, the mighty Aventador.

When Lamborghini launched the Gallardo back in 2003, a few people said that it is not how a Lamborghini should be. It was not mad enough. But all this changed when the convertible came out in 2006 and this kept many people happy. The spyder changed the character of the supercar completely and it was just mad. Just imagine you drive the same machine with that roaring engine just behind your seat and with the roof off.

Just like what have seen with the Gallardo Lamborghini launched the coupe first then came the Spyder variant. With the Huracan Lamborghini repeated the history again, they launched the Coupe variant first and then decided to launch the soft top Spyder variant of the same coupe later. Just like we all would have expected the Spyder variant looked dead gorgeous without its roof but at the back it still carried the same naturally aspirated 5.2 Liter V10 unit which is one beast of an engine.

Update 05.05.2016:- Lamborghini launched the Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder in India today. T^he prices and details has been provided below

2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 Superleggera

2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 Superleggera

The more powerful and lightweight Huracan was caught testing launching this year

When Lamborghini launched the Gallardo Superleggera back in 2007, it paid tribute to the Lamborghini 350 GT which was designed and built by Carrozzeria Touring, an automobile and coach builder of Milan. The Gallardo Superleggera emphasized completely on weight reduction and surprisingly was 100 kilograms lighter than the standard Gallardo. All the weight reduction was achieved by the use of carbon fibre.

Recently our spy photographers was able to get some new spyshots of what it seems to look like the lighter and more powerful Huracan LP640-4 Superleggera. The reason of calling it ‘lightweight’ and ‘powerful’ is because of the fact that the Huracan Superleggera will contain lots of carbon fiber to reduce the overall weight and just like we have seen on its predecessor Gallardo Superleggera, you can also expect this Superleggera variant to also get more power than the standard variant as well at the same time.

Although no details are available at this moment but what it seems like Lamborghini won’t wait much longer to take the covers off the Huracan’s newest variant. The car was caught testing at the Nurburgring race track and although not much details is available at this moment but still we have gathered all the information available about the newest supercar in this article.

Lamborghini Centenario previewed through patent images

Lamborghini Centenario previewed through patent images

The real thing will Be here soon

Lamborghini’s founder Ferrucio Lamborghini was born in the month of April, 1916. That means this year will be his 100th birth anniversary. The Italian supercar manufacturer has a history of celebrating such milestones with creation of special editions; this will be no different.

According to patent images that have leaked on the internet, Lamborghini has created a limited edition to celebrate the occasion. Reportedly called the ‘Centenario LP 770-4’, this hypercar shares its underpinnings with the Huracan; albeit it seems to sit on a longer wheelbase. Power will likely be sourced from the 6.5-litre V12 under the skin of the mighty Aventador, but with output figures raised to over 750 bhp and 700 Nm. Other details are under wraps and are expected to be revealed along with the car at 2016 Geneva Motor Show that starts next month.

From the images, one can make out the resemblance to the Huracan, especially with the face. The hood gets sharp creases and two massive air vents with an aerodynamic front spoiler rounding up the front profile. Moving to the sides – a black roof, five-spoke alloys and side skirts along with a generous amount of air intakes and vents can also be seen. The roof also appears to have an air inlet built specifically for the engine bay. This, in true Lamborghini fashion, is covered by a transparent engine cover making rear visibility almost impossible. The rear is by far the most aggressive angle of the Centenario with its enormous diffuser and three centrally-placed exhausts. The tail lights consist of what is an LED light bar with the chevron pattern at either end.
