Lamborghini’s most aggressive car definitely has to be the Aventador which was introduced as a replacement for the Murcielago back in 2011. The car has received plenty of variants and special edition since then takes the Aventador LP and also the LP 700-4 Roadster for example.
Now this aggressive Aventador Coupe has received its updates for the year 2017 and the good news is the updates are not limited to cosmetics but it has received some mechanical changes as well under the skin. Apart from all that the car still retains the same 6.5 Liter V12 unit from the Aventador. However the new car gets some power upgrades which actually makes things slightly more interesting while the seven-speed automated manual transmission and all-wheel-drive system are carried over from the Aventador.
According to Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali, this is the next generation Aventador which very well helps in expressing their newest technology and other performance milestone. He also explains that the new car will help in elevating the entire concept of super sports car to a completely new level.

Although the coupe looks identical to the already existing Aventador but the few changes made to the S variant has actually made all the difference.
The new car has received a more aggressive front end. The front now gets slightly longer front splitter which helps in redirecting airflow for better aerodynamics as well keeping the engine cool. The two airducts which are positioned towards the front bumpers helps in reducing the aerodynamic interference from the front wheels. Besides these changes to the front the side profile however remains identical to the existing coupe. Apart from the front profile the rear of the new car features a Black diffuser while there is also an optional carbon fibre diffuser as well. This carbon fibre diffuser gets plenty of vertical fins which helps in reducing drag and generate downforce. The Active rear wing at the rear further helps improve the cars overall balance at high speeds.
As a result of all these improvements the Aventador S gets an enhnaced performance. While the front downforce has also improved by 130 percent. The overall efficiency at high downforce has also improved by over 50%, and in low drag by more than 400% compared to the previous model.
According to Lamborghini the cockpit of the new Aventador S promises to bring new functionality and refinement. The first thing that one will notice is that the Aventador S gets a new TFT digital dashboard which can be customized according to the drivers preference. The instrument clusters also gets different driving modes which also changes the screens appearance as well. The Aventador S also gets Apple car play as standard now. While the cars telemetry system helps in showcasing recording lap times and track performance as well as trip data.
Apart from these changes the Aventador S interior looks identical to the Aventador however Lamborghini offers plenty of customization option through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization.
The Aventador S is powered by naturally aspirated twelve cylinder, 6.5 liter engine which produces 740 hp of peak power and 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The updated powertrain now produces 40 Hp more power than the old powertrain. This power boost was achieved by optimizing both the VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and VIS (Variable Intake System). The engine is paired to the same old 7-speed shifting system.
If we talk about performance the Aventador S coupe is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h mark in just 2.9 seconds while it can reach a top speed of 350 km/h mark.
The new car also gets a new exhaust system which is lighter by 20 percent compared to its predecessor. As a result the new and improved exhausts system reflects the sound of the naturally aspirated V12 on road. While the three single pipe outlets at the rear of the car. To optimize fuel efficiency, the Aventador S just like its predecessor also features stop-and-start system and cylinder deactivation.

The Aventador S gets an one of a kind rigid carbon-fiber monocoque chassis which also gets an attached aluminium frames. Just like every other Lamborghini Sporstcar the Aventador S also gets three different driving modes which include the STRADA, SPORT and CORSA modes. There is one new mode available as well called the EGO mode, which actually changes the behavior of traction (engine, gearbox, 4WD), steering (LRS, LDS, Servotronic) and suspension (LMS).
The lightweight alloy wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires which help to optimize steering, traction, lane changes and braking efficiency. For stopping The Aventador S gets Carbon ceramic brakes as standard. The brakes are capable of bringing the car from 100 km/h to standstill in just 31 m.
