The flagship sports car from Jaguar gets a completely new 2.0 Litre Petrol engine and subtle exterior and interior updates
Jaguar has decided to update the F-Type for the year 2017, the car may not look old, but it has been on sale in the market for almost five years now. Although there are not many changes made to the updated model it does become more economical. We explain how? Back at the 2017 New York Auto Show Jaguar has revealed an entirely new smaller displacement four-cylinder engine which joins the lineup of other powerful engines of the F-Type. Besides the engine, the exterior, as well as the interior too, received few subtle cosmetic updates as well.
Now, this new four-pot 2.0 Litre turbocharged petrol engine will also power some other Jaguar-Land Rover products as well for this year. This drivetrain comes with many advanced technologies as well and apart from F-Type this 2.0 Litre unit will also power the XE and the XF. This is also the engine which will also sit under the hood of the entry level Range Rover Velar.

The Brit Sportscar was recently caught testing at the Nurburgring
Jaguar introduced their latest sportscar three years ago and this has to be one of the most proffered sportscars which not only won many prestigious awards but also helped others purist to believe and have their faith restored in the British Auto brand once again. The two door Coupe is available in both roadster as well as coupe format. Later Jag actually added couple of other variants as well including the recently launched F-Type SVR which produces about 575 Hp of peak power.
Recently our spy photographers caught what seems to look like an updated F-Type at the Nurburgring. The car which was caught testing was wrapped in heavy camouflage and as usual Jaguar is hiding every information they possibly can. Although what seems to us is that the updated Jaguar will be getting few changes on its exterior while there will also be some changes made to its interior as well. We are not too sure if jaguar will seriously also think to add some more horses under the hood.
The F-Type is definitely popular not only in the International market but Indian market as well at the same time. Although a lot has changed in the three years and there is some new cars too which has great capability to dethrone the Brit sportscar. So now that the updated car has shown up will it be any better than the current F-Type.

All of you will have to agree with me here that the newest sportscar from the British Auto Maker Jaguar called the F-Type which also happens to be the successor of the one of the most iconic Sportscars of all time the E-Type is the best looking thing that you will find on road today. It is an amalgam of the right proportion of hooliganism as well as sophistication which until now we thought can never go hand in hand. When this thing graced the roads back in 2013, we all were equally excited and honestly this actually became popular for a lot of reasons but the true sportscar enthusiast loved it for its wild exhaust note which actually still is one of the most soothing track that you will find in a production car, while the other as already mentioned above was its exceptional good looks.
The Performance on the other hand was somehow a hush affair although the F-Type packed quite a lot of punch from the 3.0 Litre Supercharged V6 and the 5.0 Liter Supercharged V8. The car was a sprinter and also came with an exceptional topspeed as well but it never actually was counted in the league of extraordinary supercars. Perhaps Jaguar wanted to change that and that can be a reason that they have just handed over their regular production variant Supercharged power V8 F-Type to their Special vehicle operation team (SVR).
The result was the F-Type SVR which now generates 575 Ps of peak power and 700 NM of torque. You wanted a hooligan Jaguar SVR team gave you one thus year. The F-Type SVR can sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in 3.7 seconds while it can reach top speed of 322 km/h mark without any complain. To make all this possible the SVR team has worked on every part of the car and if you want to learn more you definitely should read this article.

The F-Type surely is one of the most stylish sportscars of the present time and is also called the successor of the iconic E Type which was one of Jaguars most prestigious cars, so you can surely understand the great responsibility that it carries on its shoulder. Launched back in the year 2012, the F-Type Convertible did attracted some attention not only because of its styling, overall finish quality, powerful and responsive engine but also because for its good handling characteristics which is most important for many sportscar owners.
Jaguar recently unveiled the F-Type for the year 2016 and it surely comes with new and attractive features which make the upcoming range even better than its predecessor. The 2016 F-Type Range hasn’t changed a lot in terms of overall styling but it surely has received lot of important hardware like the all wheel drive system and a manual gearbox beside the automatic ones available with the already existing variants, the addition of all these hardware helps in narrowing the gap in between “A sportscar” and “The perfect sportscar”.
We already brought you the first impression of the 2016 F-Type AWD coupe Coupe which comes with the newly added AWD feature but not with manual gearbox, the manual gearbox is only available with the rear wheel drive convertible variant. Jaguar surely did leave quite a stir in the automotive market when they launched the F-Type in the year 2012 which also happens to be successor of the iconic E-Type which is also considered as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. Now for those who love a rear wheel drive sportscar the F-Type was the perfect little thing which they could get their hands on and why not it had the looks the appeal and also a powerful engine under the hood but what it missed was an All Wheel Drive technology.
Now, I know many of you may not like the idea of an AWD system in a sportscar because all of us really want a sportscar which will be fun to drive and which they could really push it around in the corners and slide it out in the bends and let the rear wheel spin until the rear tires surrenders. On the other hand there are some who wants a more serious sportscar which will behave and handle perfectly and provide more traction and grip under any circumstances be it wet or dry or even snow. Let’s take the example of another popular sports car the R8 from the German auto manufacturer Audi which comes with the famous Quattro all wheel drive system or the Porsche Cayman GTS they actually handle better than an non AWD system and in some cases are actually faster than the other car.
Now Jaguar launched the Coupe variant of the F-Type a year after it launched the open top variant and they knew the preference of their customers and recently the iconic British sports car manufacturer has unveiled an AWD version of the F-Type at the 2014, Los Angeles auto show. Beside that Jaguar also has announced their partnership with the British World Land Speed Record Team called Bloodhound SSC too who are actually planning to break the world speed record in the 2015 and then reach the 1000 MPH mark in 2016.

First showcased at the 2013, Goodwood Festival of Speed, this one of a kind beauty captured everyone’s attention, it later also was showcased at the 2014, Auto Expo held in New Delhi, this year. Now this handcrafted masterpiece is all set to go into production. Yes!! Readers I am talking about the Jaguar F-Type Concept 7, Jag announced that they will build only 250 examples of the F-Type Project 7 and thus it will definitely remain as a collectible piece for many.
Now if you are thinking that the Project 7 is just a toy or showpiece which could only be kept in a fancy place then think again! Because this Jaguar is the most powerful production Jag ever built and it packs a lot punch. Powered by the F-Type’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8, this car reaches 100 km/h mark from standstill in just 3.9 seconds while the top speed is electronically restricted at 300 km/h mark. This F-Type Project 7 will debut at the at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, this year and is one really special car for Jaguar because it is also the 60th anniversary year of the Jaguar D-type racer that inspired the Project 7 design, the F-Type Project 7 was originally built to pay homage to the legendary British auto manufacturer’s seven outright Le Mans victories with that car and that is also the reason why the 7 number has been added to the cars title. This D-Type also has been one special car for Jag and that is the reason why the new Project 7 will be hand built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations team which makes this car very special.
The distinctive roadster type body and a powerful engine under the hood make this one really interesting sportscar and that is more than just a showpiece.

Jaguar India launched their much anticipated sportscar of this year in the Indian market called the F type. This car really will impress anybody who dares to look at it, it is designed by Ian Callum the head of Jaguar design, he took special care to give this new F type the modern touch and also kept in mind that it carried some of the styling features of the old E type which is still considered as one of the most beautiful car ever made.
The new Jaguar was showcased at the Paris Motor show earlier in the year 2013 and everybody fell in love with this new beast. This new F type is also special for millions of Jaguar lover’s because Jaguar has created a 2 seater convertible sportscar after a long span of time. This new Jaguar not only looks fantastic but the Engineers have worked hard to extract maximum performance from its engine and finally when the looks and performance blended together the F type was born.
Jaguar offered three models of this F type to the world but unfortunately India got only two variants the entry level 3,0 litre supercharged V6 S with 372 bhp of peak power on tap and the bigger 5000cc V8 S which has 488bhp of power on tap. Sounds alluring right? But does this new Jaguar F type have what it takes to be the worthy successor to the legendary Jaguar E type. Let’s find out shall we?

One question lingered in our minds when we heard about Jaguar plotting the spiritual successor to the E-Type. How can somebody improve upon the design of a car that is considered to be one of the most beautiful cars to date? Well, once Jaguar took the wraps off their CX-16 Concept, a couple of years ago, we were blown away by what Jaguar’s chief designer Ian Callum and his team can do. That was probably the second most beautiful thing that ever came out with a Jaguar logo, after the E-Type did almost 50 years ago. The smooth curves, the crouching stance of the animal it’s named after and the latest in sports car tech really made us fall in awe with CX-16. But, being a concept, there’s always that question of whether they’re going to build it or not. Fans of the Leaping Jag were begging on their feet for Jaguar to build the CX-16.
Well, Jaguar listened to everybody’s prayers and announced the production spec CX-16, or as you may all be aware of, the F-Type Roadster last year. And it was literally a CX-16 Concept without a roof and with a price tag. Sitting on a shortened platform from the XK and powered by a fiesty 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine, it was a hoot to drive. And if that wasn’t enough for you, just simply look at it. Absolutely beautiful in every aspect. All these qualities helped the F-Type Roadster garner critical acclaim, awards and considered by most to be one of best cars launched this year.
But, hang on! When Jaguar showcased the CX-16, it had a fixed, sloping hardtop. When is the F-Type going to come with that ? As people say, good things come to those who wait and after, almost a year of waiting, Jaguar has finally lifted the covers of the F-Type Coupe and, surprisingly, a new variant for the F-Type range.

Recession is a world which the wealthy of the world haven’t heard. 2013 will see a host of new sportcars and while most of them won’t make it to India, four of the five cars we have featured in this article are possibly headed our way. While most of us would never be able to see these cars on roads, there is a growing number of millionaires in India which have enough space in their garage to fill it up with these supercars.
For Jaguar it was a tough act to follow. And understandably so it took them 50 years to deliver. The Jaguar F-Type was considered to be the most beautiful sports car of the 60’s and on the racetrack the F-Type was a champion. To replicate the F-Type today was then a huge challenge. The new F-Type is Jaguar’s first 2 seater in 5 decades and the first new Jaguar since the manufacturer was bought by Tata Motors. The 2013 Jaguar F-Type was unveiled at the recently concluded Paris Motor Show and the F-Type is closely based on the C-X16 concept car and a big reason for the development of the F-Type is the interest shown by Tata chairman, Ratan Tata who wanted the manufacturer to be present in the sportscar market. The F-Type would compete with the Porsche 911, the Aston Martin Vantage roadster and Nissan’s GTR.
