The Brit Sportscar was recently caught testing at the Nurburgring

Jaguar introduced their latest sportscar three years ago and this has to be one of the most proffered sportscars which not only won many prestigious awards but also helped others purist to believe and have their faith restored in the British Auto brand once again. The two door Coupe is available in both roadster as well as coupe format. Later Jag actually added couple of other variants as well including the recently launched F-Type SVR which produces about 575 Hp of peak power.

Recently our spy photographers caught what seems to look like an updated F-Type at the Nurburgring. The car which was caught testing was wrapped in heavy camouflage and as usual Jaguar is hiding every information they possibly can. Although what seems to us is that the updated Jaguar will be getting few changes on its exterior while there will also be some changes made to its interior as well. We are not too sure if jaguar will seriously also think to add some more horses under the hood.

The F-Type is definitely popular not only in the International market but Indian market as well at the same time. Although a lot has changed in the three years and there is some new cars too which has great capability to dethrone the Brit sportscar. So now that the updated car has shown up will it be any better than the current F-Type.

The flagship sports car from Jaguar gets a completely new 2.0 Litre Petrol engine and subtle exterior and interior updates

Jaguar has decided to update the F-Type for the year 2017, the car may not look old, but it has been on sale in the market for almost five years now. Although there are not many changes made to the updated model it does become more economical. We explain how? Back at the 2017 New York Auto Show Jaguar has revealed an entirely new smaller displacement four-cylinder engine which joins the lineup of other powerful engines of the F-Type. Besides the engine, the exterior, as well as the interior too, received few subtle cosmetic updates as well.

Now, this new four-pot 2.0 Litre turbocharged petrol engine will also power some other Jaguar-Land Rover products as well for this year. This drivetrain comes with many advanced technologies as well and apart from F-Type this 2.0 Litre unit will also power the XE and the XF. This is also the engine which will also sit under the hood of the entry level Range Rover Velar.

There is no denying in the fact that the Jaguar F-Type has definitely the best sounding stock exhaust note amongst its rivals. The roar in fact has actually become the signature styling of the F-Type. Now you already know that the British auto maker took the wraps of the F-Type SVR recently and this is a wild version of the standard F-Type developed by Jaguars Special vehicle operation (SVR) team.

In this video you can watch Jaguar F-TYPE SVR demonstrates its distinctive roar in New York City’s Park Avenue Tunnel. This tunnel is located in the iconic Park Avenue area in Manhattan and it passes under seven blocks of the road. As you already know the F-Type SVR gets this lightweight titanium exhaust system which is capable of withstanding much more heat than the standard stainless steel exhaust system.

The sweet sounding exhaust note is further backed up by that powerful 5.0 Litre Supercharged V8 unit which has been tuned to produce 575 Ps of peak power and an impressive 700 Nm of torque. Michelle Rodriguez Takes This Jaguar F-Type SVR For A Spin: Video

A fast and furious lady driving Jaguar’s faster car

Jaguar F-Type SVR is the fastest production car Jaguar has ever made. Being a more powerful version it comes as an aggressive and angry looking car crafted very nicely. But recently Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez took the car to perform its real task. On a closed highway in the Nevada desert the star actress pushed the sports coupe on its first high speed test drive, to its top speed 323 kmph (201 mph). She also said, this has been her speediest drive till date.

The new Jaguar F-Type SVR comes with a 5.0 litre supercharged direct injection V8 engine under the hood mated to an 8 speed Quickshift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, producing 575 PS peak power at 6500 rpm and 700 Nm of peak torque at 3500 – 5000 rpm. It can reach 0 – 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds with a top speed around 322 kmph.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR comes with design cues from the Project 7 limited edition model, but the aerodynamic efficiency has been increased and the performance has been re-tuned in the all new F-Type SVR. The car gets multifunction steering wheel with aluminium paddle shifters, dual pod instrument cluster, and a sleek centre console with touchscreen panel; and all of these complimenting the sporty black themed interior.

OVERVIEW 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR

2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR

All of you will have to agree with me here that the newest sportscar from the British Auto Maker Jaguar called the F-Type which also happens to be the successor of the one of the most iconic Sportscars of all time the E-Type is the best looking thing that you will find on road today. It is an amalgam of the right proportion of hooliganism as well as sophistication which until now we thought can never go hand in hand. When this thing graced the roads back in 2013, we all were equally excited and honestly this actually became popular for a lot of reasons but the true sportscar enthusiast loved it for its wild exhaust note which actually still is one of the most soothing track that you will find in a production car, while the other as already mentioned above was its exceptional good looks.

The Performance on the other hand was somehow a hush affair although the F-Type packed quite a lot of punch from the 3.0 Litre Supercharged V6 and the 5.0 Liter Supercharged V8. The car was a sprinter and also came with an exceptional topspeed as well but it never actually was counted in the league of extraordinary supercars. Perhaps Jaguar wanted to change that and that can be a reason that they have just handed over their regular production variant Supercharged power V8 F-Type to their Special vehicle operation team (SVR).

The result was the F-Type SVR which now generates 575 Ps of peak power and 700 NM of torque. You wanted a hooligan Jaguar SVR team gave you one thus year. The F-Type SVR can sprint from 0-100 km/h mark in 3.7 seconds while it can reach top speed of 322 km/h mark without any complain. To make all this possible the SVR team has worked on every part of the car and if you want to learn more you definitely should read this article.

Update 07.03.2016:- We have updated the review with some live images of the all new Jaguar F-Type SVR coupe clicked from the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Feast your eyes..

That’s right! Remember the Active Exhaust button inside the cabin.

In this video you can actually watch this guy from I-drive drives the all new F-Type Coupe R inside few tunnels in Los Angeles. This guy surely drives this fast sporstcar inside a tunnel and with the noise that it makes is really something that you won’t find in any other car. He also explains what is so special about the F-Type. Jaguar wanted to create a sporstcar which is actually practical enough so that people can actually use on a daily basis. However you will be quite surprised actually to find out that Jaguar really sells a car which makes such loud noise.

The F-Type packs all that power from a supercahraged 5.0 Litre V8 which produces about 550 Hp of peak power and 460 Nm of torque. All that power is sent to the rear wheels via a 8 speed automatic gearbox. The F-Type surely has a shorter wheelbase and the almost accurate steering and the sticky Pirelli P zero tyres make this car even more fun to drive.

OVERVIEW 2016 Jaguar F-Type AWD Coupe

2016 Jaguar F-Type AWD Coupe

Jaguar surely did leave quite a stir in the automotive market when they launched the F-Type in the year 2012 which also happens to be successor of the iconic E-Type which is also considered as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. Now for those who love a rear wheel drive sportscar the F-Type was the perfect little thing which they could get their hands on and why not it had the looks the appeal and also a powerful engine under the hood but what it missed was an All Wheel Drive technology.

Now, I know many of you may not like the idea of an AWD system in a sportscar because all of us really want a sportscar which will be fun to drive and which they could really push it around in the corners and slide it out in the bends and let the rear wheel spin until the rear tires surrenders. On the other hand there are some who wants a more serious sportscar which will behave and handle perfectly and provide more traction and grip under any circumstances be it wet or dry or even snow. Let’s take the example of another popular sports car the R8 from the German auto manufacturer Audi which comes with the famous Quattro all wheel drive system or the Porsche Cayman GTS they actually handle better than an non AWD system and in some cases are actually faster than the other car.

Now Jaguar launched the Coupe variant of the F-Type a year after it launched the open top variant and they knew the preference of their customers and recently the iconic British sports car manufacturer has unveiled an AWD version of the F-Type at the 2014, Los Angeles auto show. Beside that Jaguar also has announced their partnership with the British World Land Speed Record Team called Bloodhound SSC too who are actually planning to break the world speed record in the 2015 and then reach the 1000 MPH mark in 2016.

Jaguar F-Type R AWD Coupe To Debut In Los Angeles (with Video)

Jaguar F-Type R AWD Coupe To Debut In Los Angeles (with Video)

Jaguar has announced that it will be launching the F-type R coupe which will come equipped with an All Wheel Drive option at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show while at the same time the manufacturer has also declared their partnership with the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record team, this is the same team which later aims to raise the Land Speed record to about 1000 mph mark.

Jaguar F-Type debuted in the year 2012 which also happens to be the successor of the legendary E-Type while its coupe version was launched just a year after the drophead variant was launched. There is no doubt that the F-Type is one of the best looking sportscar launched in the recent years and but it was a rear wheel drive vehicle just like many other German premium sports coupes but this time around Jaguar launched an All Wheel Drive variant of the F-Type R Coupe.

Now adding the AWD technology to the F-Type R coupe surely will take away some of its drifting capabilities and will dishearten many of those drivers who loves to slide their cars on the bends but if we look at the positive side the AWD F-Type Coupe R will help boost the confidence of the person driving the vehicle and will give them courage to push hard on the pedal on the tighter bends and even on slippery surface and extract the maximum out of their sportscar.

First showcased at the 2013, Goodwood Festival of Speed, this one of a kind beauty captured everyone’s attention, it later also was showcased at the 2014, Auto Expo held in New Delhi, this year. Now this handcrafted masterpiece is all set to go into production. Yes!! Readers I am talking about the Jaguar F-Type Concept 7, Jag announced that they will build only 250 examples of the F-Type Project 7 and thus it will definitely remain as a collectible piece for many.

Now if you are thinking that the Project 7 is just a toy or showpiece which could only be kept in a fancy place then think again! Because this Jaguar is the most powerful production Jag ever built and it packs a lot punch. Powered by the F-Type’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8, this car reaches 100 km/h mark from standstill in just 3.9 seconds while the top speed is electronically restricted at 300 km/h mark. This F-Type Project 7 will debut at the at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, this year and is one really special car for Jaguar because it is also the 60th anniversary year of the Jaguar D-type racer that inspired the Project 7 design, the F-Type Project 7 was originally built to pay homage to the legendary British auto manufacturer’s seven outright Le Mans victories with that car and that is also the reason why the 7 number has been added to the cars title. This D-Type also has been one special car for Jag and that is the reason why the new Project 7 will be hand built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations team which makes this car very special.

The distinctive roadster type body and a powerful engine under the hood make this one really interesting sportscar and that is more than just a showpiece.

2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe

2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe

One question lingered in our minds when we heard about Jaguar plotting the spiritual successor to the E-Type. How can somebody improve upon the design of a car that is considered to be one of the most beautiful cars to date? Well, once Jaguar took the wraps off their CX-16 Concept, a couple of years ago, we were blown away by what Jaguar’s chief designer Ian Callum and his team can do. That was probably the second most beautiful thing that ever came out with a Jaguar logo, after the E-Type did almost 50 years ago. The smooth curves, the crouching stance of the animal it’s named after and the latest in sports car tech really made us fall in awe with CX-16. But, being a concept, there’s always that question of whether they’re going to build it or not. Fans of the Leaping Jag were begging on their feet for Jaguar to build the CX-16.

Well, Jaguar listened to everybody’s prayers and announced the production spec CX-16, or as you may all be aware of, the F-Type Roadster last year. And it was literally a CX-16 Concept without a roof and with a price tag. Sitting on a shortened platform from the XK and powered by a fiesty 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine, it was a hoot to drive. And if that wasn’t enough for you, just simply look at it. Absolutely beautiful in every aspect. All these qualities helped the F-Type Roadster garner critical acclaim, awards and considered by most to be one of best cars launched this year.

But, hang on! When Jaguar showcased the CX-16, it had a fixed, sloping hardtop. When is the F-Type going to come with that ? As people say, good things come to those who wait and after, almost a year of waiting, Jaguar has finally lifted the covers of the F-Type Coupe and, surprisingly, a new variant for the F-Type range.

2013 Jaguar F-Type

2013 Jaguar F-Type

For Jaguar it was a tough act to follow. And understandably so it took them 50 years to deliver. The Jaguar F-Type was considered to be the most beautiful sports car of the 60’s and on the racetrack the F-Type was a champion. To replicate the F-Type today was then a huge challenge. The new F-Type is Jaguar’s first 2 seater in 5 decades and the first new Jaguar since the manufacturer was bought by Tata Motors. The 2013 Jaguar F-Type was unveiled at the recently concluded Paris Motor Show and the F-Type is closely based on the C-X16 concept car and a big reason for the development of the F-Type is the interest shown by Tata chairman, Ratan Tata who wanted the manufacturer to be present in the sportscar market. The F-Type would compete with the Porsche 911, the Aston Martin Vantage roadster and Nissan’s GTR.
