2018 Hyundai Elite i20 With Fancy Wheels Spotted Testing
A pre-production test mule of the upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift was recently spotted caught being tested in India. The test mule was covered in heavy camouflage but what caught everyone’s attention was the new set of fancy alloy wheels. The test mule was covered in heavy camouflage, but the facelift i20 apparently will continue with the same fluidic design language of the current generation hatchback. Hyundai Sante Fe Takes Over Antarctic Becomes First Passenger Vehicle To Achieve The Unthinkable: Video
The expedition began with Sir Ernest Shackleton who tried to reach the South Pole three times 100 years ago but failed because of the unforgiving climate. But after a Century his great grandson has successfully achieved the feat in the grandest way of them all. Patrick Bergel made his name into the History books by driving a standard Passenger Car across the Continent of Antarctic. The Journey began from Union Camp to McMurdo and back again at the starting point.
The mission was completed in December 2016 which was also the time to remember the heroic Trans-Antarctic expedition of 1914-16. Driving a passenger car across the Antartic was Hyundai’s idea. The Auto manufacturer went to Sir Ernest Shackleton Great Grandson. Weeks of preparation went behind turning the standard 2.2 Litre Hyundai Sante Fe into a Machine which could take on the harshest condition of the Antarctic region.
For all your information there were some modifications made to the Sante Fe. to survive the unforgiving terrain and climate. The entire suspension setup of the car was rebuilt, including the suspension, suspension links, mounts and axle shafts. All these parts were re-engineered to make driving in those harsh terrains possible. The gear ratios of the SUV too were lowered. Hyundai has also installed an engine heater to make sure that the SUV can start in such cold weather. Apart from that Hyundai has also used a bigger fuel tank and also installed larger snow tyres which replaced the smaller tyres. However, no changes were made to the engine though, and it was powered by the same 2.2 Litre CRDi Diesel Engine which is capable of producing g about 194.3 Bhp of peak power and 420 Nm of torque.
