Honda New Generation Brio & Amaze Coming Soon?

Honda New Generation Brio & Amaze Coming Soon?

Expect the new-gen cars to be well equipped than the current models

According to the recent news Honda is actually planning a slew of new car launches for the Indian market within the next few years. They actually have plans to launch the new Brio which is a 7 seater compact SUV in India on 5th May 2016 and besides that they also have plans to introduce the new generation Brio hatchback and the Amaze sedan based on the same platform. The next generation Brio hatchback and Amaze sedan developement is already underway and they have been codenamed 2UA and 2UB internally.

Besides the new generation Brio and Amaze Honda also have plans to introduce the new generation CR-V SUV and the Accord sedan in India Honda who had their plans and goals set for the year 2015-16 with introduction of some new models like Jazz and City and Amaze was not able to make such impact because of the new model launches from Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Hyundai Motor India Ltd. The poor sales figures of the Honda Mobilio also contributed to these factors as well. While their newly launched Jazz sales figures also dropped after Maruti Suzuki introduced the Baleno premium hatchback.

Thus Honda is planning a comeback by introducing some new models. Expect the new generation Brio and Amaze cars to be lot more equipped than the current generation vehicles because of the increase in the localization levels that they have achieved. The new generation Brio will be exported from India to Japan which will make it the second Japanese car maker after Suzuki to export cars to Japan from India.

Honda Amaze Facelift Gets A New Shade Of Blue (Spyshot)

One more color shade added to the already existing 7

The changes that we noticed towards the exterior of this new compact sedan comes in the form of new Chrome grille bar towards the front profile which looks like that it has taken some styling inspiration from the Mobilio MPV. The other changes which can be noticed in this car is the Black inserts inside the headlamps, the front bumper too has been revised and it now gets slightly bigger air vents as well along with an integrated fog lamps. The rest of the car almost remains unchanged, even the wheels looks like that they have been carried over from the pre-facelift sedan. However if you look towards the rear profile of the sedan you will notice that Honda has made minor changes to the taillamp cluster.

The biggest change takes place inside the cabin of the facelift Amaze though because it gets a completely new dashboard which looks much in tune with that of the Honda BR-V SUV. 2014 Tata Zest VS Honda Amaze VS Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire VS Hyundai Xcent

2014 Tata Zest VS Honda Amaze VS Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire VS Hyundai Xcent

The two upcoming cars that have left quite a buzz in the Indian auto market right now are the MPV from Honda called the Mobilio and the compact sedan Zest from our very own homegrown auto manufacturer Tata Motors. Today we will be talking about the Zest which will be launched soon in the Indian market and all have a very clear idea by now that the Zest is a compact sedan.

Talking about compact sedan the concept was originally started by Tata and quite honestly they dominated the market back then with their compact sedan Indigo which was based on their hatchback Indica platform. Years went by then the Indian largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki launched the Dzire compact sedan which was based on the Swift platform and it became an instant hit in the Indian market gradually Honda also launched the Amaze while Hyundai launched their own version of compact sedan based on the Grand i10 platform called the Xcent.

The advantages of these compact sedans are that they share most of their components with their hatchback counterpart including the platform, engine and even some major cabin parts and accessories and thus building these compact sedans saves lot of money of the particular auto manufacturers. Although these sedans may not provide space or is powerful like the big sedans but does their duty pretty well when it comes to providing a better ride quality and boot space than a hatchback. Those customers who have a little more budget than a hatchback and also wants a better looking car can easily opt for these compact sedans.

Now, Tata Motors did not wanted to take chances with their compact sedans and thus has provided the upcoming Zest with powerful petrol and diesel engines and lots of new features which will definitely leave you spellbound and will force you to think that this is a worthy competitor to the other compact sedans.

2014 Delhi Auto Expo: Honda reveals auto expo lineup

2014 Delhi Auto Expo: Honda reveals auto expo lineup

Honda Car India has released information about the various models that will take part in the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The Honda booth will have one brand new concept car along with other production models.

In recent times, the Japanese car maker has tasted success in compact sedan segment and this time at the Delhi Auto Expo, Honda will unveil to the world the Honda Vision XS-1 design study.

The Vision XS-1 is conceptual model of a new crossover model featuring sporty styling and intelligent utility of interior space much like the Brio’s "man maximum, machine minimum" philosophy.

It is not the only concept that will take part in the Expo. Honda will also bring the NSX Concept sports car. The NSX Concept is touted to replace the mid-engined super car from the 1990s. Honda has shown it to the world before and this time it arrives in India.

Also on display will be the Honda Accord Hybrid. This is a car the company could launch in India. Although, market for hybrid cars is not that big here, their rivals at Toyota do offer the Prius and Camry Hybrids.

Honda recently launched an MPV based on the Brio platform for the South-East Asian markets. Called the Honda Mobilio, this model is touted to enter the Indian market targeting cars like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the upcoming Datsun Go Plus.

One of the star attractions at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo will be the all-new Honda Jazz. The third generation of the popular premium hatchback is set to make its debut, finally. A diesel powered Jazz could also be on the menu which should attract more customers to the brand.

Mahindra Verito Vibe VS Honda Amaze

Mahindra Verito Vibe VS Honda Amaze

When Mahindra launched the Verito Vibe recently in the Indian market, many of us initially thought that it was a hatchback. Later, it came to our knowledge that it is a sub 4-meter compact sedan with a "boot", just like the Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire or the Honda Amaze, which also was launched recently in the Indian market.

The biggest advantage for these sub 4-meter sedans is that they receive tax benefits from Indian Government, making the price tag competitive. What the Indian customers expect from a sub 4-meter sedan is a boot which could accommodate more luggage, compared to a standard hatch, a frugal engine lineup that doesn’t burn a hole in one’s wallet and the credential of owning a sedan, albeit at a very low price-tag.

So let’s find out which of these sedans fulfill the criteria perfectly and live up to expectations, by comparing the two sub 4-meter sedans from the stables of Mahindra and Honda.

Honda Amaze VS Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire

Honda Amaze VS Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire

Today we will be comparing two of the best entry level saloons that have attracted a lot of attention in the past and are still continuing the job of wooing the Indian buyers. The two contenders that I am talking about are the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire which has been here in the Indian market for quite some time now and is one of the best sellers in its segment, and the other one is the much anticipated launch of the year 2013 Honda Amaze. The interesting fact about these saloons is that they are available in both Petrol and Diesel variants and they are mostly built on the hatchback platforms. The Same strategy of converting the hatchbacks into entry level sedans were opted by many other Car manufacturing companies in India also like Chevrolet and Toyota.

Today we will be comparing the recently launched Honda Amaze and the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
