Maruti To Launch 4 New Cars In The Next Fiscal 2017-18
According to the recent reports, Maruti is all set to launch four new products in the next fiscal. India’s largest car manufacturer has launched atleast two new products each year for the past couple of years but now they want to accelerate the growth of their launch and products in order to catch a big share of the Indian Auto market.
Maruti Suzuki has already announced earlier that they will be bringing atleast 15 new products by the year 2020 and until now they have launched eight new products already, the Ignis and the Baleno RS being their last two. Now, although Maruti Suzuki officials did not mention the names of their upcoming cars but they did mention that out of the 4 upcoming products w will be completely new cars while the other two will be upgrades of their existing model.
Now it is not hard to make out that the upcoming four models will include the all new Swift Dzire and the Swift hatchback, while the upgrades will include the facelift S-Cross Crossover and the Ciaz sedan.
Maruti also has plans to increase their market share from 47 percent to 50 percent and their aim is to grow faster than the industry.

2017 Renault Kwid Climber
Renault KWID has been an instant hit after its launch in the Indian market and there is no doubt in the fact that after the Duster, the KWID is definitely their most successful product which has helped them to plant a firmer foot in the Indian automotive market.
Renault showcased two of their wild concepts based on the KWID hatchback at the 2016 Auto Expo last year. The two concepts which were showcased included the KWID Climber and the Racer concept. While the Racer concept focused on the racing genes of the KWID, the Climber variant, on the other hand, was Renault’s effort to make the KWID appear more purposeful and brawny.
According to the reports, Renault has sold more than 1,30,000 unit of the KWID hatchback till date and perhaps to share the success of the hatchback with the customers, the French Auto manufacturer now has decided to introduce perhaps a special edition of their popular hatchback in the form of KWID Climber.

Renault To Launch KWID Climber On 9th March
According to the ET Auto, Renault is all set to introduce another new variant of the KWID tomorrow. This is the much awaited KWID Climber variant which was showcased first at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The reports also state that this is the French Automakers strategy of introducing entirely new KWID variants every six months. Until now they already have launched three variants of their entry level offering including the 800 cc variant while later after almost a year they introduced the 1.0 Litre followed by the AMT (Easy-R) option later.
The Renault KWID Climber is powered by the more powerful 1.0 Litre, three-cylinder unit which might also feature the AMT gearbox as an option. The KWID Climber is the same KWID hatchback with few cosmetic updates made to its exterior as well as interior so also expect it to be priced reasonable as well.
As far as the cosmetic changes are concerned to assume the KWID Climber to get a redesigned front grille and bumper while you can also expect the front nose to adorn faux skid plates as well to make the front profile look slightly more brawny and purposeful. Although the side profile of the hatchback will remain the same, the rear profile might receive new bumper and perhaps a protective covering around the taillamps. There won’t be any big changes made to the interior though however expect the KWID Climber variant to get a new set of upholstery inside to keep things fresh and different from the standard variant. New Generation Suzuki Swift Showcased At 2017 Geneva Motor Show India Launch In 2018
The new generation Swift made its World premiere at Japan last year December. Now recently Suzuki showcased the all new European-specific Swift at the 87th Geneva Motor show. The car is codenamed YSD internally, and reports state that it will launch in the Indian market early next year.
The new generation Swift is based on an entirely new lightweight platform which also underpins the Baleno as well as the Ignis Crossover. However, the platform has been tweaked to keep the sporty character of the hatchback intact which is found in the International spec hatchback. The new platform is also expected to be lighter and more rigid which will help the new car to loose some weight and also improve its handling characteristics.
The Indian spec Maruti Swift will be heavily localised to keep the prices in check. The reports also state that the new Swift will also be tuned to deliver the best performance and to handle Indian roads. The Indian spec hatchback will also get a slightly higher ground clearance to cope with Indian road conditions. To make the product even more lucrative, Maruti will sell the new Swift through their regular dealership to increase their reach across the Country instead of their premium dealership Nexa.
Presently we are still unaware of the Indian specs, but it will get the Boosterjet direct-injection turbo-petrol. The car will also get an automatic transmission beside the standard unit in both diesel as well as petrol drivetrain. At a later stage, Maruti could also introduce a sportier version of the Swift just like they have done with the Baleno.
Tata Motors Introduces AMT Gearbox On The Tiago Hatchback
There is no doubt that the Tiago hatchback has definitely enlisted its name in the Tata Motors successful list of products. But in order to stay in the competition and make their product even more attractive, the Indian Auto manufacturer introduced the AMT variant of the hatchback as well. The the TIAGO Easy-Shift AMT. Priced at INR 5.73 lakhs, (ex-showroom Mumbai) and INR 5.39 lakhs, (ex-showroom Delhi}.
The car was caught a couple of times being tested on the Indian road, the Tiago Easy Shift AMT will be available only with the top end XZA petrol variant. The Tiago AMT is thus available only with the 1.2L, 3 cylinder Revotron petrol engine which is capable of producing about 85hp of peak power and 114Nm of torque. The car is now available for sale in all the 597 Tata Motors outlets across the country.
The AMT gearbox features four gear positions which include Automatic, Neutral, Reverse and Manual. The gearbox tends to promise smooth acceleration and a stress-free driving in City traffic. The gearbox also gets 2 individual drive modes which include sports and City modes to ensure a peppy as well as economical city cruising. While the ‘Sports’ mode also ensures a performance-oriented driving. The manual mode, on the other hand, allows the driver to shift gears with just a push on the gear stick. Furthermore, the Easy Shift AMT also gets an inbuilt ‘creep’ feature which allows the car to crawl as soon as one takes the foot out of the brake pedal without actually pressing the accelerator; this feature especially comes in handy in sloping terrain because it does not let the car to roll back.
2017 Maruti-Suzuki Baleno RS
Maruti showcased the Baleno RS Concept at the 2016 Auto expo and although this looked identical to the standard Baleno hatchback with fewer exceptions but actually features a more powerful engine under the hood. Maruti already launched the Baleno in India and after a year after of the 2016 Auto Expo, in an attempt to impress the Indian customers who love performance-oriented hatchbacks they now launched the Baleno RS hatchback.
Like we already mentioned above the Baleno RS gets a slightly more powerful engine under the hood and is actually a performance oriented hatch and one of its kind from the stable of Maruti Suzuki. The RS variant is positioned above the existing hatchback and is sold through the Nexa showrooms.
The report suggested that the newest performance-oriented hatchback gets a slightly more powerful 1.0-liter Boosterjet unit. The new engine which also makes its Indian debut promises to deliver an impressive amount of power and torque figures along with an exceptional fuel efficiency figures.

Renault To Launch KWID Climber Variant Soon?
According to the recent reports, Renault perhaps will be launching the KWID Climber variant in India soon. They already have started dealers training for this upcoming KWID variant which indicates to one thing that is the launch of this new KWID variant isn’t far away.
Renault showcased the KWID Climber concept at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo; the KWID concept was just a visually enhanced variant of the existing KWID hatchback which also happens to be the most favourite car of their lineup. The KWID Climber concept which was showcased at the Auto show equipped with redesigned front bumpers which also featured skid plates towards the front; the grille too looked slightly beefier as well. We all have talked about this car so much recently that we do not need to re-introduce the Baleno RS once again. The car was showcased first at the 2016 Auto expo and after exactly a year Maruti has decided to introduce the RS variant of the hatchback in India. Recently they also have revealed all the details of the soon to be launched hatchback along with some images as well.
Before we head into anything else let us remind you that Maruti will be launching the Baleno RS in India on 3rd March 2017. This hatchback will be positioned on top of the standard Baleno and will be sold via the Hexa dealerships.
The Indian spec Baleno RS will be powered by a completely new 1.0, three cylinder Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine which will produce about 75 KW/ 102 Hp of peak power at 5500 rpm and 150 Nm of peak torque at 1700-4500 rpm. The engine will be paired to a 5 speed manual transmission only. Talking about the new powertrain, this is the same detuned variant o the 1.0 Litre unit which powers the International spec Baleno hatchback. Renault Introduces New RXL Variant Of KWID 1.0 L Gets Manual & AMT Transmission
There is no doubt that the KWID has been one of the most successful products for Renault after the Duster. Recently they have introduced the Live for more edition of the KWID, and now they have announced a more affordable RXL trim of the hatchback with the 1.0 Litre variant. Previously the 1.0 Litre variant was available only with the top end RXT variants only. The best part is that the new variant is also available with both manuals as well as AMT transmission.
What is even more interesting is also the fact that the introductory prices for the new RXL are just INR. 30, 000 more than the 1.0 Litre manual transmission. Talking about prices while the 1.0 Litre RXL variant is priced at INR 3.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the AMT transmission equipped variant priced at INR. 3.84 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Tata Tiago Petrol AMT Details Leaked
We heard rumours of Tata Motors introducing the AMT variant of the Tiago and from what it seems like the rumours were actually true. Recently a leaked spec sheet gave away all the details that one needs about these soon to be launched Tata Tiago AMT variants.
The AMT variant of the Tiago was already spied earlier and it will be available with the petrol variant only. The Tiago AMT, when launched, will compete directly with the Alto K10 AMT and the Celerio AMT.
With the launch now almost near Team-BHP was able to get their hands on some leaked spec sheets of the Tiago AMT variant. To begin with, the AMT variant will be available with the top two variants only. The details leaked online said that the Tiago AMT will only be available with the top end XT and XZ trims.
Thus the AMT gearbox will be equipped only with the 1.2 Litre, 3 cylinder Revotron petrol unit capable of producing about 85 PS of peak power and 114 Nm. Apart from just the addition of the AMT gearbox, there won’t be any other changes to be made to the AMT equipped car. As far as the pricing is concerned to expect the AMT variant to be priced a tad bit higher than the manual variants.
After the Nano and the Zest, the Tiago will actually be the third model to be offered with AMT transmission.
