2015 Ferrari FXX K
Ferrari surely hasn’t forgotten their roots afterall their long history started from the race track. The Italian road legal sportscar manufacturer unveiled a LA-Ferrari based exclusive and one of its kind supercar which they are calling Ferrari FXX K. The limited edition LA-Ferrari based FXX K supercar produces more power than the LA-Ferrari itself and is also lighter than the standard car which translates to an insane amount of acceleration.
The Hybrid Supercar LA-Ferrari which was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto show surely became the poster car for many people around the world but it was not only about good looks because it also brought with it an advanced hybrid drivetrain which was not only powerful but fuel efficient at the same time and also was fitted for the very first time in a Ferrari chassis. The hybrid powertrain of the supercar consisted of a 6.3 liter, V12 unit along with two electric motors which uses the battery pack placed on the cars chassis floor to power itself. The battery on the other hand gets charged automatically when one uses the brakes or even when the petrol powered V12 produces more torque than what is required. That may sound extremely complicated to you but the results are too sweet to describe because believe it or not the LA-Ferrari produces a total of 963 Hp of peak power and 898 Nm of torque amount. The LA-Ferrari has a top speed of over 350 km/h mark while it can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h mark in just 3 seconds.
Now coming to the more track focused Ferrari FXX K which has even better aerodynamics than the car it is based on but it is definitely not meant for everybody this exclusive supercar will only be built for few carefully selected owners but if you are lucky enough you can also catch a glimpse of it on the racing tracks around the World.
