What to expect from the facelift model launching in 2017
Mahindra saw the potential in the entry-level Micro SUV segment and decided to introduce their entry level product the KUV100 last year January, and it was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo where it attracted a lot of attention. what to expect from this upcoming hatchback
Some of the rumours state that Maruti will be launching the new facelift Celerio in India soon. This car, when launched back in 2014, was popular for its AMT transmission; as a matter of fact, the Celerio was the first Maruti hatchback which featured AMT transmission. The upcoming hatchback will receive its first mid-life update soon, and the rumours also suggest that that the car will be made more attractive and will feature some new technologies to compete with some of its rivals who has earned lots of popularity within the few years of their launch.

The updated SUV is expected to launch towards the festive season
Motorworld India was able to get the first video of the all new facelift Ford Ecosport while it was being tested on the Indian road. The reports state that the SUV will launch in India towards the end of this year and for all your information this is not exactly a new generation model but is a facelift that Ford has given to their popular compact SUV.
Now, there were not exactly one but two different test mules which were caught testing at the same time. While both the test mules were wrapped in heavy camouflage, the changes that the compact SUV received was quite evident. Both the test mules had received the same changes that the new facelift Ecosport had received when it was first unveiled Infront of the public at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto show.
The facelift Ecosport now features a redesigned trapezoidal grille towards the front; the headlamp design is also new and gets integrated LED daytime running lamps. The redesigned front bumper now gets bigger triangular fog lights. Towards the rear, it gets a redesigned taillamps as well. The wheel design is also new. The facelift Ecosport still retains the tailgate mounted spare wheel which also gets a body coloured wheel cover as well.
Just like the exterior the interior too will get a complete overhaul as well. Although the interior of this test mule was not visible the facelift Ecosport did receive a new three-spoke steering wheel; the redesigned dashboard now will house Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system or perhaps will get the system from the current generation SUV. Apart from that, the seats will also be redesigned as well, and it will also get a new instrument cluster.

Nissan has launched the facelift Terrano in India today. The updated SUV gets minimal changes to the exterior while inside is where one will find the maximum number of changes. The Terrano was launched in India back in 2013 and based on the same platform which Renault uses to underpin their Duster SUV as well. The sedan gets a completely new petrol engine and few cosmetic tweaks to exterior and interior
Some of the reports on the internet suggest that Audi will be launching their entry level compact sedan on 6th April 2017. The A3 will be the German premium auto manufacturers third launch after the A3 Cabriolet and the A4 diesel variant for the Indian market; they have planned 10 new products for the Indian market for the year 2017.
The 2017 model A3 gets few cosmetic updates both on the exterior as well interior but the most interesting part though is that it gets a new petrol engine under the hood as well.
Visually the cosmetic updated made to the facelift sedan includes a slightly larger hexagonal shaped grille and also new LED headlamps as an option, the standard version, on the other hand, gets Bi-xenon lights. The updated City sedan is expected to get a refreshed exterior and interior
The City sedan has been here in the Indian market for quite some time now and has ruled the segment with its road presence and that impressive IVTEC motor. Then when it was time Honda introduced the diesel motor as well along with a few other updates. Now with the rising competition, Honda has actually decided to introduce the facelift variant City sedan after almost three years since it’s got its last update. Honda has already unveiled the 2017 City sedan facelift last month in Thailand and it will also make it to the Indian shores on 14th February 2017. Honda will revive the ZX moniker with the facelift sedan
We already have reported this earlier that Honda will be launching the City sedan in India on 14th February. The pre-bookings for the sedan has already commenced in India and Honda has also released a teaser video of the car at the same time.
The new facelift car takes its styling inspiration from the new generation Civic, it gets a restyled front headlamps which now gets full LED units and also integrated LED daytime running lamps as well. The front grille too looks bold and gets a dash of chrome to it. While the front chin of the car also gets a sharper looking bumpers. Just like the front, the side profile of the car gets a slightly bigger 16-inch alloy wheels which will most probably be available with the higher grades but the lower and mid grades will get the same 15-inch alloy wheels. The rest of the side profile hasn’t received any major change. Coming to the rear profile of the sedan the only noticeable changes comes in the form of restyled LED taillamp and a boot spoiler with integrated stop lamps. The overall silhouette of the car has remained unchanged though.
Just like the exterior, the interior too to get some subtle updates in the form of an all-new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and a mobile mirroring app co-developed with Blaupunkt. Expect the interior too also get new upholstery as well.
For the safety of the passengers inside, the City sedan gets 6 airbags, while also expect it to get ABS, rear parking sensor, EBD, child lock safety etc.
The S-Cross facelift looks mean and aggressive
The Indian automotive scenario has been changing drastically in last few years. Indian customers are opening up toward fresh new designs, new niche. The compact SUVs and crossovers have becoming more and more popular day by day in the country like the rest of the world. Audi launched the all new A3 Cabriolet in India today; the open top variant of their entry-level sedan priced at INR. 47.98 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the car is sold in the Indian market via the CBU route. Audi introduced the A3 Cabriolet 2 years ago in India and it still remains to be one of the most desirable and affordable premium convertibles of the Country.
