The Azani comes with ridiculous specs like 0-96 kmph in 2.1 seconds, top speed of 354 kmph, 1,000-horsepower, etc.
Mean Metal Motors had come up with a hybrid concept called the M-Zero back in 2015 that would’ve become India’s first supercar ever. The setup would feature an electric motor working in tandem with a twin-turbo V-8 engine. But, courtesy of the paradigm shift to electrification, MMM had to shift its focus, too.
Fast forward to the present day, the startup has introduced an electric hypercar with insane specs. It will make 1,000 horses, sprint to 96 kmph in 2.1 seconds, and will have a top speed of over 350 kmph. Can the production-spec Azani be able to take down the current world’s quickest and fastest production car, the Tesla Model S Plaid?
From What We Know So Far, The Azani Is A Fantastic Package
MMM has noted that the Azani will be based on a Skateboard aluminum spaceframe with a carbon fiber driver tub. It will even have aluminum load-bearing crumple zones. The chassis is built keeping in mind the future products that could be underpinned by it.
Coming to the Azani power outputs, MMM has said that it will churn out 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
There’s no word on if it will be a dual-motor setup or a tri-motor setup.
But, thanks to these four-digit power outputs, the Azani will be able to sprint to 96 kmph from rest in just 2.1 seconds and will have a top speed of 354 kmph! To put things into perspective, the Model S Plaid, Tesla’s flagship EV, can do 0-96 kmph in 1.99 seconds and has a top speed of 322 kmph.
The Azani will come with a 120 kWh battery pack that will allow you to travel 523 kms on a full charge. The Model S Plaid, on the other hand, has an EPA-estimated range of 396 miles, which is 637 kms.
There is a host of other stuff that the Azani will come with. It makes use of a double-wishbone suspension setup with adaptive damping, ventilated carbon braking, torque vectoring, and an electronic power steering. Other interesting stuff includes:

The Azani Is Quite Advanced In Terms Of Production, Too
Mean Metal Motors has also noted that the car will be pretty high-tech in terms of production. We all know that EVs have fewer moving parts, but MMM says the hypercar can be built anywhere as it makes use of 100 times fewer components, is four times cheaper to build, and offers twice the margin. This information is provided on the website for the investors.
While MMM is accepting reservations for the Azani, it has not announced the price or when the hypercar will be revealed in flesh. Another interesting bit on the company’s website is the section where it is inviting investors. Even the production-related specs that are mentioned on the website point to the fact that the company is interested in investors just as much as it wants buyers for the car.
