Yamaha will launch the updated FZ in the Indian market tomorrow. Before the launch, here are exclusive pictures of the bike straight from the launch.
The new FZ 3.0 looks fresh with the minor design changes. It gets updated with a new headlamp that now gets twin-lamp set-up. It pictures also reveal how the body graphics of the new FZ 3.0 has changed and how it looks much more aggressive than before.
The fuel tank shape has also changed with the update and it now gets bigger, more muscular scoops on the tank. The instrument cluster has also been updated with new graphics. Yamaha has also added newly designed alloy wheels to the new bike. It looks quite attractive in the new form. The design of the exhaust muffler has also been updated and it has now become meatier than before.
The new safety regulations will come into effect from 1st April 2019. The new rule requires all the two-wheelers that are powered by 125cc or above engines would have to offer mandatory ABS. It is not clear if Yamaha has added a single-channel ABS or dual-channel ABS that works on both the wheels but it is a feature that will definitely come on the newly updated bike.
Currently, Yamaha offers FZ and FZ-S in the market and the new version of the FZ is expected to continue the same. Mechanically, the Yamaha FZ 3.0 is expected to remain the same. It will get powered by the same 149cc engine. Currently, it churns out a maximum power of 13 Bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 12.8 Nm. The FZ 3.0 is expected to offer the same power figures. It gets a 5-speed transmission.
