Ford India today introduced the Ecosport Platinum Edition in India today. This new compact SUV not only getssome technology ugrades but few cosmetic updates as well. The Ecosport compact SUV has been here in the Indian market for quite some time now and while its other rivals has received quite a few updates recently Ford has decided not to make any major changes to their popular compact SUV. Now when we all thought that Ford will introduce the new facelift variant of the Ecosport which was showcased at the New York Auto show last year Ford has instead decided to update the current variant and sell it as the 2017 model until and unless the new Coimpact SUV is launched in India.
The Ecosport Platinum Edition as already mentioned above gets few cosmetic as well some technological updates as well.

2017 (Maruti) Suzuki Ignis Motocross Style Edition
Only yesterday we have reported that Suzuki has showcased the new Swift Racer RS concept which was based on the new generation Swift although no details of the production variant is out yet but there is a fair chance that Suzuki might introduce it first in the markets of Japan and then perhaps it might also land on the Indian shores sometimes in the near future. Now at the same show Suzuki showcased another sportier variant of the Ignis Crossover which was launched here in India last week only.
Just like what we have seen on the Swift Racer RS Concept exhibition cars, the Ignis Crossover too has been given a unique cosmetic upgrade too. Called the Ignis Motocross Style Edition, this is the same Ignis Crossover with all the added colours.
The Ignis Crossover was launched recently and is positioned below the Vitara Brezza SUV. The car is being sold in the Indian market via Maruti’s Nexa dealership and is offered with both diesel and petrol powertrain options. Transmission on offer is a 5 speed manual as standard and an AMT offered as optional with both petrol and diesel variants.

2017 Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Suzuki unveiled the Ignis Crossover at the Tokyo Motor show and since then we knew that Maruti definitely will bring it to the Indian market. And after almost a year we were assured by the Maruti officials that they certainly will be introducing the new Ignis in India.
Now coming to the iconic Japanese auto maker Suzuki, they have been known for their small cars across the globe while their recent plans also are to launch almost 20 global car models. Maruti have already launched the Baleno hatchback which is the production variant of the IK-2 Concept and this is actually a global product which mens better build quality, improved interiors and impressive safety features feature for the passengers inside. Let’s not get into all those details and focus completely on the car which was launched today on 13th January 2017 at a gala event where Swedish DJ, Axwell performed live. To all our surprise Maruti has priced the Ignis compact Crossover quite aggressively which is actually a good thing.
The Ignis Crossover has derived from the IM-4 concept; the car was already previewed at the 2016 Auto expo and was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor show. The Ignis Crossover is positioned below the Vitara Brezza hatchback and will compete with some other B-Segment hatchback & Crossovers like the Mahindra KUV100, Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo etc.

Maruti To Launch Ignis Crossover Tomorrow!
Maruti is all set to launch the Ignis Crossover tomorrow in India. Like you already know that the Crossover will be sold in the Indian market via the Nexa dealership alongside the Baleno and the S-Cross. The Ignis Crossover first made its debut at the 2016 Indian auto expo and was showcased alongside the Baleno RS hatchback. The bookings for the Ignis Crossover have already started in the Indian market and once can book the mini SUV by paying a token amount of INR. 11, 000.
The Ignis Crossover will be offered with four different variants which include:- Sigma, Alpha, Delta, Zeta. These are the same variants which are also available with the Baleno and S-Cross Crossover. The Ignis underpins a completely new platform which is not only lightweight but rigid at the same time. This lightweight platform has also helped improving the handling and also high speed stability. As far as the styling is concerned the Hexa Crossover gets all the styling inspiration from iM4 concept previewed at the Geneva Motor Show . 2017 Maruti-Suzuki Swift

2018 Mahindra TUV 500
A mysterious Mahindra SUV wrapped in heavy camouflage was spotted recently being tested on road leaving a hint that Mahindra is actually planning to add another SUV to their vehicle lineup.
The new SUV which was recently spotted had lot of similarities with the already existing TUV300. However the SUV which was spotted wrapped in heavy camouflage appeared like it was longer than the existing compact SUV, This actually means that perhaps this upcoming SUV is based on a long wheelbase platform and thus expect this upcoming SUV to get three row seating like some of the bigger SUV’s of the Mahindra lineup.

Tata’s Upcoming Kite 5 Sedan’s Top Variant Spied Completely Undisguised
Some recent completely undisguised photos of Tata’s upcoming Kite 5 compact sedan are going rounds on the internet. Tata Motors showcased the compact sedan for the first time at the 2016 Auto expo and after that it was also spotted couple of times being tested on road.
The model which was spotted in this spyshot is most probably the top end trim and it not only gets a completely new exterior paint but also gets plenty of exciting new features. To begin with the top end trim gets stylish diamond cut alloy wheels, side turn indicators integrated on the ORVM’s, a thick chrome line bar in between the two taillamps at the rear. Although the front profile of the sedan is not highlighted in these images but gets the same face like the Tata Tiago hatchback. However we do feel that the top end trim might get projector units as well instead of the regular halogen units. The biggest advantage of the Tata’s new compact sedan is that it promises to offer an impressive amount of boot space at the rear. Tata claims that the Kite 5 compact sedan will offer around 420 Litres of boot space.
Coming to the interior expect the upcoming compact sedan to get a completely an all Black interior with some contrasting colour accents. As far as the drivetrain are concerned expect this new compact sedan to share the same 1.2 Litre Revotron petrol and 1.05 Litre Revotorq diesel engine under the hood. Both this engines will be paired to a 5 speed manual transmission however there can be an AMT transmission on offer as well.
Expect the Tiago based compact sedan to hit the showrooms in mid 2017 and wit will take on some other rivals like the Honda Amaze and upcoming Chevrolet Beat Essentia sedan.
Chevrolet Essentia Sedan Launching In Mid 2017
Chevrolet seriously needs to refresh their lineup and fast if they want to make an impact in the Indian market. Their existing products Sail sedan and Sail UV-A hatchback failed to impress the Indian customers which is the main reason behind their poor sales figures. 2016 MINI Clubman
We never actually take the brand Mini seriously yes! It is a fun car which handles like a dream and can be used for weekend fun drives. But who ever thought that Mini can also be practical and also can replace your daily car. After BMW acquired Mini they wanted people to take this brand more seriously and as a result they have tried to expand the Mini range and launch some more practical cars without actually losing its original identity.
Mini introduced the Clubman back in 2007, although the vehicle looked identical to the Mini hatchback but the car actually received an extended form the cars B pillar onward. Ford Aspire Titanium Automatic Variant Gets Seven Airbags Now!
Ford has once again updated their Figo Aspire sedan and this time the top end Titanium trim gets the newest addition. According to the recent reports Ford has now included a total of seven airbags in this trim. Previously the top of the line compact sedan variant was equipped with total of 6 airbags and now Ford has decided to include a driver knee airbag as well beside the other six airbags which includes dual front airbags for the driver and the front passenger and curtain airbags for the rear passenger.
The manual variant of the Titanium trim on the other hand gets the dual front airbags only while the other safety measures includes ABS which is available as standard. The top end Titanium+ trim however does not any changes in the safety measures and continues with the same 6 airbags.
With the inclusion of the knee airbag the Ford Figo Aspire Titanium AT becomes the first car in the sub 10 Lakh rupee segment which gets a total of seven airbags in total. Apart from the airbag Ford recently also included ABS in their mid-level Trend trim recently as well.
Recently plenty of Indian manufacturers has also increased airbags as standard in their cars but Ford on the other hand surely stays ahead of the race when it comes to safety of the occupants.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Launching On January 13th 2017
According to the recent reports Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the all new Ignis Crossover in India on January 13th 2017. The Ignis will be the third car which will be sold via the Nexa showrooms after the Baleno and the SX4 Cross.
During the time of the launch the Ignis will most probably be powered by the 1.2 Litre petrol unit while the diesel variant will get the tried and tested 1.3 Litre unit. While the same vehicle is offered with petrol or a petrol hybrid unit, as far as the Indian market is concerned, expect both the diesel and the petrol unit to be powered by 5 speed manual gearbox while later most likely it will also be offered with an automatic variant.
Unlike other Maruti Suzuki offerings the Ignis will be a completely new car which not only looks different but also will get a completely new interior which has never ever seen before in any of the Maruti products available in the Indian market.
The Ignis Crossover will compete directly with the Mahindra KUV100 when it is finally launched in the Indian market. As far as the pricing is concerned expect it to be priced in between INR. 5.5–8 lakh (ex showroom).
Next Generation Maruti Swift Dzire Gets LED Taillamps
The next generation Maruti Swift Dzire was spotted testing once again in India. This will make its debut in our market way before the 2017 Swift does. For all your information the next generation Swift Dzire is expected to make its entry into the Indian market towards H2 2017.
The images quite clearly reveal that the upcoming Swift Dzire hatchback will get LED brake lamps which are integrated inside the taillamps cluster. While the taillamps design seems to be all new the headlamps too has been redesigned as well and now integrated a projector units along with LED DRL lamps. Apart from all that the front profile also gets completely new much more aggressive bumpers which also gts bigger air dams. The side profile too receives its fare share of change which comes in the form of side turn indicators integrated into the ORVM’s and new set of wheels.
