Vulcan AMR PRO Is The Most wildest Thing That Stepped Out Of Aston Martin’s Factory
The Vulcan just received an upgraded performance package
Aston Martin is trying every formula to make their AMR brand famous. They already have introduced few cars with the AMR touches including the Vantage, and now this British Auto manufacturer has just launched a wilder Vulcan variant which is their track focused car. Now imagine the Vulcan was Aston Martin’s wildest car ever and now this particular car has received performance upgrade package which has been developed by their performance brand AMR. The car will make its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of speed.
The Vulcan is limited to just 24 units and is already delivered to their respective customers back in 2016. The owners who owned this beautiful machine has received step by step drivers training from the Auto manufacturers expert team of instructors including Aston Martin Racing works driver and three-time Le Mans winner, Darren Turner. The Vulcan is not a street legal car and thus the owners were given a chance to drive their respective cars at some of the world’s best Formula One circuits. These tracks included the Circuit of the Americas in the USA, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi and, Aston Martin’s very own home circuit, Silverstone.
For all your information the Vulcan is powered by a naturally aspirated 7.0-litre V12 engine which has been tuned to generate 804 Hp of peak power which is paired to a Xtrac 6-speed sequential gearbox.
Below we have provided all the details of what the new Vulcan AMR Pro has received
ASTON MARTIN VULCAN AMR PRO
The Aston Martin Vulcan Pro has received an extensive aerodynamic package and shorter gear ratios. The aerodynamic package helps in adding increased downforce which automatically results in better performance and shorter lap times.
The AMR PRO aerodynamic enhancement includes louvred panels which have been positioned just above the front wheel arches wheel arches. This extracts the high-pressure air and reduces aerodynamic lift. The sizable dive planes also have been added to each side of the note which helps in pinning the front end to the track. The large front splitter has turning vanes which help in improving steering response. The further weight of the car has been saved with the use of carbon fibre which helps in reducing the weight of the engine cover by almost 5 kilogrammes.
These modifications has further helped the Vulcan to improve the traction, steering response and front end grip
Towards the rear, the Vulcan AMR PRO has received a new rear wing which gets a dual plane design. The rear wing now also features a 20mm ‘Gurney’ flap which helps in maximising the downforce.
All these changes have resulted in creating massive downforce which now stands at 4000N at 100MPH compared to 3150N on the standard Vulcan. The aerodynamic changes have helped in improved the aerodynamic balance of the Aston Martin Vulcan, by shifting its centre of pressure forward and bringing all those pressure to the middle of the car. These modifications has further helped the Vulcan to improve the traction, steering response and front end grip.
The entire upgrade package will be installed by Q which is Aston Martins excellent production team. Some work is already underway and expect the work to be completed by the end of autumn.
Unfortunately, all the 24 examples of the Vulcan has already been sold in 2016, and sadly, Aston Martin has decided not to build any more examples of this beast. However, if you want to catch a glimpse of the new Vulcan AMR PRO, then you need to head to the Goodwood Festival of Speed where it will be showcased.
