Styling has always been one of the major priorities of the Indian customers from the very beginning, although there were not many competitions earlier but now that the Indian car market has gotten intense and there are also plenty of options favoring the customers, the pressure is now completely on the car makers.

In the recent times we have seen auto manufacturers are not only trying to provide the Indian car customers best value for money products but they are also paying special attention towards their cars styling and appearance as well. Although the choices and the sense of style vary from person to person still we have tried to pick 5 stylish budget hatchbacks from the lot which has all the appeal to stand out in the crowd.

Below provided is the list of top 5 stylish sub eight Lakh Rupee hatchbacks available in the Indian market today.

The next generation i20 is now being called the Elite i20 and although nothing much has changed under the hood but this premium hatchback offering from the Korean auto manufacturer surely has received a new appearance.

As you all already are aware of the fact that the new generation i20 has received Hyundai’s new fludic sculpture 2.0 design elements. So all the curves are now gone and the new i20 gets some aggressive and sharp lines running all over its exterior. The front headlamps are now projector units while the huge hexagonal grille steals all the show. The rear taillamps too has been completely redesigned and it gets this three different patterns of lights inside. The wraparound rear windscreen also adds to the stylish appearance of the hatchback.

Hyundai’s new Elite i20 looks really global and gets a European flair in its overall styling. This hatchback definitely remains on top of the list in terms of pricing as well as its appearance.

‘Pure Italian’ and ‘classy’ these are perhaps the two words that can define the new Punto. New Punto! Not exactly, Fiat has not launched the new generation Punto yet in the Indian market but the Punto available in the Indian market is only a facelift variant.

The facelift variant was introduced in 2014 and it surely looked almost like a new generation car. Although there were number of changes made to the exterior of this hatchback but the front profile received numerous changes as well. The front headlamps unit has been completely redesigned while it also received a new grille. What highlights the front grille is the amount of chrome which actually makes it stand out in the crowd. The bonnet too gets an interesting power bulge, while the Fiat logo too now has been repositioned from the front grille towards the tip of the hood.

The hatchback also gets an extremely stylish 16 inch alloy wheels. The highlights of the rear profile definitely are those extremely attractive Auxiliary lights and the new taillamps units with LED inserts.

If you want all the attention on road then perhaps this is one hatchback you should definitely get your hands on.

Ford launched the new generation Figo in India in 2015, this definitely is one hatchback which offers a lot inside. Be it its new and exciting drivetrains, safety features or interiors, the new Figo definitely does not disappoint anybody.

Talk about styling and before I proceed let me inform you all Yes! It gets the Aston Martin inspired Trapezoidal grille (well kind of). The elongated headlamps, the wraparound taillamps and the bold shoulder lines all adds to the good looks of the hatchback. The new styling actually has made the appearance even more appealing and adds the sense of premium feel to it.

This is definitely one car amongst the lot which looks well proportioned and is actually inspired mostly from a concept car (Ford KA).

TATA TIAGO (upcoming)

The ‘Zica’ hatchback renamed as ‘Tiago’ is the upcoming hatchback that we all are eagerly waiting for. This is the newest hatchback which will be launched towards the end of March 2016 and will be replacing the existing Indica EV2. This was also showcased at the 2016 Auto expo and will be positioned below the Bolt hatchback.

Take a look at it and you can’t complain about the way the hatchback looks. Tata’s design team has worked hard to give this a sporty appearance while also taking care of the fact that it has to look different from the Bolt hatchback. Smoked headlamp lenses, roundish touch towards the front nose, black bezel wrap around taillamps are some of the highlights of its styling.

There is no doubt in the fact that the Tiago hatchback looks sporty and dynamic and will appeal to the young generation and first time car buyers of the Country.

P.S:- The hatchack now has been renamed as the Tata Tiago and these images were taken before Tata renamed the car.

2015 Renault KWID Exterior High Quality

Renault KWID definitely is the odd one amongst the list of the cars that we selected today. It has the styling of a Crossover but is definitely the most aggressively priced cars amongst the list of the cars. Muscular wheel arches, side body cladding, well proportioned glass area, side indicators placed on wheel arches and a small roof spoiler and the small but stylish taillamps are the design highlights of the hatchback which wants to look like a Crossover.

The Renault KWID is perhaps the second car after the Hyundai Eon which actually breaks the stereotype thought that the entry level hatchback cannot look good.
