Tata Motors To Hike Prices Of Their Passenger Vehicles From January 2017
Currently their vehicle price range starts from 2.15 Lakh onward
Tata Motors has decided to hike the prices of their passenger vehicles from January 2017 onward. The decision of price hike was taken by Tata Motors due to various macro-economic factors. The home grown auto maker has announced via a press release that they will be hiking the prices of various passenger cars by a minimum of INR. 5, 000 to a maximum of INR. 25, 000 depending on the vehicle model.
On the same press release Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors, also said that the decision to increase the prices of different vehicles was taken because of increase in raw material prices including, aluminium, copper and rubber over a period of time. As a result of this price hike the automaker was forced to hike the prices of their vehicles. He also did mention that they were able to witness a demand and increase in the sales of their passenger cars in the past few months and all the credit goes to their recently launched hatchback Tiago. However he also added that they are also gearing up to launch the Hexa Crossover as well in the month of January 2017.
The automaker will also be introducing the Nexon SUV as well in India in later in 2017.

New Delhi, December 12, 2016: Due to the impact of various macro-economic factors, Tata Motors today announced that the Company will be increasing prices of its passenger vehicles starting fromRs. 5,000 upto Rs. 25,000, depending on the model.
The increase is effective from January 1, 2017.
According to Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors, “The increase in prices of raw material commodities like steel, aluminium, copper and rubber over a period of time has put a lot of pressure on us and as a resultant we are forced to hike prices of our passenger vehicles. We are seeing good demand for our cars and have witnessed month on month growth owing to the TIAGO. We are gearing up for our next launch of the HEXA in January 2017."
